  1. Matt and Rey vs. Chris Masters and Snitsky is probably the best match either member of the heel team was ever involved in. Actually I thought HBK did a good job with Masters at Unforgiven 2005 but you get what I'm saying. Listening to Styles on that show was fun too since he wasn't a defeated corporate man yet. The show also brought Jim Duggan back to WWE prominence! I was sad he didn't vin the Legends vote.
  2. I think it gets a bad rap for having a terrible match be the only "Survivor Series" style match, and it's only loosely fought under those rules (two eliminations instead of four). I haven't seen it in ages and would love to see it again.
  3. Adamle needs to have guys run The Eliminator to determine the #1 contender.
  4. There was something going on with Leena and some thread over at The Pit... I forget exact details but she was angry that alkeiper made a new section just so "they" wouldn't need to interact with people they didn't like. Somehow this led to you making a post on The Pit (right around a time I questioned why you stopped talking with us in 24/7 land) to the extent of "I can't believe how excited they're getting over watching that drug addict Kerry Von Erich. He's totally coked out!". Somewhere in there was an implication that THIS was why you stopped frequenting that area of the board.
  5. Wait, there's a What's Happening!! complete series package? I'll have to look into this. Anyone who skipped the initial releases, I suggest picking this up. Excellent times ahead.
  6. Sigh... SummerSlam 99 won the poll. I wanted to tape SummerSlam 94 but I guess sooner or later I'll jsut get the DVD set anyway. The September PYBO (though when you vote, it says "October") includes these CLASSIC Ric Flair PPVs. You can't think "Ric Flair" without thinking of Survivor Series 92, Spring Stampede 94, or Taboo Tuesday 2005. Series 92 is by far the worst choice of the bunch BUT I taped Stampede 94 the last time it was on 24/7 (good show) and have Taboo Tuesday 2005 on DVD, so bring on Survivor Series!
  7. Someday you might realize it was silly to shun the 24/7 group because one guy enjoyed watching a drugged out Kerry Von Erich wrestle. (I'm just kidding there, BL - I don't hold any sort of grudge over that, though I do think it was silly).
  8. Hello WWE Universe, Last week we mentioned there was going to be a major surprise in regards to WWE 24/7 Online. Rumor has it that this surprise MIGHT be revealed later today in the Raw live blog. Another rumor is that this announcement might have something do to with WWE 24/7 Online in October and it will affect every single member on WWE Fan Nation. WWE 24/7 Online recommends that you check out the live blog tonight. If the announcement is not made in the blog then we guarantee by the time Raw is over tonight, we will make the announcement on here. Thank You
  9. Graham Cawthon is the man when it comes to wrestling history and such. Happy Birthday.
  10. I can't believe it took that long for someone to do that (relatively speaking - it was only two posts later). To quote "Joker's Millions": Joker: I may be crazy enough to take on Batman, but the I.R.S.? No, thank you!
  11. Eric Bischoff had a line I can't quite recall at Starrcade 98 that was pretty spot on. I gather people thought it was in poor taste in 1998 but watching it on 24/7 last December, it seemed pretty spot on. Something like "Ric Flair is 88 years old and keeps wrestling because he hasn't saved a dime".
  12. I suspect WWE would sign him to a Legends contract to keep selling stuff based on him too, but maybe not. Do they still do that?
  13. The bookings refer to the fact he wasn't allowed to show up at NWA Legends autograph sessions or things of that nature. Don't look for Flair to wrestle Nate Webb at the next Border City Wrestling show. This probably explains why on Raw in Canada they announced a cancellation of a WWE approved autograph session. This is a good thing (since it was amicable) for all parties since WWE can pretty much get Flair to show up if they need him to do something and Flair can rake in some money from indy promoters looking to sell high priced tickets just so people can have a meet and greet with Flair before the show.
  14. One full PPV a month? That'd be big.
  15. Technically something from as recent as last night's SNME could be considered a classic, but that's not how most would use the term. I just remember Monsoon would often refer to matches as a classic in the making or what have you and I'd get thirsty for a Coke.
  16. I think he's playing the villain. Some ex Power Ranger plays Scorps (and not someone cool like Austin St. John or Walter whoever). Edit:
  17. They look like small hearses.
  18. Yeah I typed the wrong thing.
  19. Is anyone looking forward to the upcoming DVD release of Scorpion King 2 starring Randy Couture? I know I'm not. Also, quite the shame about Christine Applegate's battle with breast cancer.
  20. By not being what I would think, I thought it might be a picture of Winnie the Pooh in a Mini Cooper, but alas, it was not, so I guess it was not at all what I thought.
  21. I never knew chili was seasonal, but I suppose when it's -30C ten months of the year (God bless Western Canada's weather) you tend to think you shouldn't eat "hot" foods during hot months. I live in Southern Ontario where and it's rarely below -20C (without factoring windchill) during the winter and it gets to be 65 degrees by March, so it's all good.
  22. He made a cameo in the 24/7 folder, it was nice actually. I would be happy if he joined that corner of the forum.
  23. I suspect the announcement is they are becoming "24/7 Classics Online".
  24. All September on WWE 24/7 Classics On Demand, it Forever Flair... WOOOOOO! Relive the illustrious career of the 16-time World Champion, the Nature Boy, Ric Flair. See all the championship conquests, his NWA/WCW run with the Four Horseman, the formation of Evolution in WWE and the unforgettable battles with Dusty Rhodes, Harley Race, Terry Funk, Sting, Ronnie Garvin, Ricky Steamboat, Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan and many others. The PYBO poll is listed as "coming soon": Vote for your favorite event that featured a classic Ric Flair match and see it next month exclusively on WWE 24/7 Classic On Demand.
