  1. Funny UK PPV Angle... Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Goldust called me.. Ric Flair.. a terrible wrestler who has bad matches. He tried to beat me up before I could get to England, but failed because I kicked his ass. So at the UK PPV, he cuts a promo saying he's sorry my terrible wrestling is going to embarass the WWE, but he's good enough to have awatchable match with me. He asked me to pick an exciting stipulation match since my style was too boring for WWE fans
  2. I have yet to see a pre-PPV video package.. am I doing something wrong? I was in a month long feud before BAd Blood, figured that would be my chance to finally see one of these things.. and I still got nothing. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): The gist of the feud was Me (Flair) and Trips were to defend our tag titles against Nash and HBK at Bad Blood, but Vince decided to suspend HHH for attacking him with a chair on the 1st Raw of the month. I beat Michaels on a Raw where he said if I won, he'd ask Vince to un-suspend HHH. The next week, Shawn said he asked, and Vince said no. Well, Vince was going on about how HHH and me would be stripped of the titles, when Stephanie McMahon came out (another continuity error... but the storyline was that she was bugging her dad, so I guess it wouldn't have made sense with Eric) and said HHH had a "No Title Stripping Clause" in his contract (yep.. storyline done by WWE writers all right) and the match was a go. HHH then asked me to pick between ladder or cage.
  3. Oh yeah.. I need to get it through my head Square no longer counters anything. I keep mashing on square when my opponent is on the offensive, forgetting to use L2 or R2.
  4. Did anyone else initally think "OVR" meant "Over" and mark out thinking it was some sort of reference to EWR before realizing it meant Overall? I like how, although they are effective, the finishers don't necessarily decide the match. I found the previous SD! games were too much of a rush to SD! icon, finisher, pin. So far, I have yet to encoutner that (especially in tag matches where between me and my opponents we hit about 10 finishers or more in the match.. maybe not overly realistic, but good fun). RVD took away Ric Flair's IC title, so I decided to team up with HHH and take the tag belts. I guess I'm going to be in a feud now, since JR insisted I defend the tag titles next month in the main event.
  5. *does the This Game Kicks Ass Dance* To me, those complaints about the "Confusing multiple grapples" are bunk. A simple glance in the instruction manual revealed it's as simple as remembering which direction is for which set of moves, and then I'm good.. and it's an awesome idea, IMO. I've only played 3 matches in Season so far and I'm Ric Flair. The 2nd show I asked for an IC title match wnas won the belt. I then selected "Respect" as a post match option. Christian chatted with me in the parking lot at the next show, and I gained 5exp. for getting Christian's respect as well. Has anyone bought anything from ShopZone? I'm guessing that the purchased cards are replaced by new ones... unless somehow there are only 6 new movesets and very limited new attires. Anyway, off to Week 4.
  6. How were you breaking the finishers? Are SD! Icons not required?
  7. Don't get me wrong... as hilarious as I would have found it if TNA had signed him, I didn't want him back in the ring. I'm calling him an idiot for making a claim, then saying his return to the ring is in a video game. But then again, this guy is nothing short of insane, so that's the kind of thing I should have expected from him.
  8. Yeah Warrior, that's a huge return to Wrestling. Idiot.
  9. It would seem Warrior is not in the game because Acclaim got the rights for the next LOW game with him.
  10. I always bashed away at the buttons in No Mercy to try and kick out or move to the ropes in a submission, so this won't bother me. As for different controls, I remember booting up Just Bring It and being off put by the fact I couldn't get right into it using Know Your Role's controls, but I quickly got used to it and enjoyed it, thought not as much as SYM.
  11. I always thought Zelda could work if it weren't played up for laughs like the animated series, either as an anime or a movie very much like the LOTR films. Of course, when I say Zelda, I refer to The Legend of Zelda, Link's Adventure, or (especially) A Link to the Past. Don't get me wrong, I think Wind Waker is an awesome game and all, but it's not what I want to see a movie made about. Likewise, I don't even like Link's Adventure very much as a game, but storywise it's a great followup to the first game. BMX XXX The Movie might be something worth making as well.
  12. On one hand, not being able to leap right into the game knowing how to work the controls from previous experience is a bit of a downer, it's always good when a game updates itself to avoid being stale. I look forward to doing exhibition matches and figuring out the new controls, then kicking some ass in Season.
  13. I was hoping the new EGM would have a review, but it did not. OT, it had a review for Raw 2, where it got pretty much the worst scores I've seen a wrestling game get in some time. There was a sidebar telling people to go download EWR instead, which made me happy.
  14. Back when it was rumoured that the Legends weren't going to have their music anyway, I wondered what the hell the point would be since CAW is right there to give you the same thing. But after seeing those models... wow. Except for Jim, they look damn good, far better than anything I could have done with CAW. The music is a shame, but by day 7 when I'm hitting Start during the intro, it won't bug me as much.
  15. Wasn't today supposed to be all the Legends? Or are we a day behind in the thread and IGN hasn't done their update for today yet?
  16. The hair match was the one Jericho won. Nash's May Resume is as follows: Raw - defeated Jericho Judgment Day - beat HHH by DQ. This concludes Nash's list of matches in the month of May.
  17. You may remember that heels and faces alike saved Stephanie form the invaders from Raw back in 2002... but then again you may not, since that was never really mentioned again.
  18. I always enjoyed the spot where Michaels has Sid set someone up for the Superkick, and as usual, Michaels hits the big man... but this time he just "oh well" shurgs it off.
  19. So far, that "confirmed new GM" is nothing more than someone being backstage.
  20. Monsoon, the people's president, thought it would be something the fans wanted to see. I don't believe there was any formal angle around it involing who got on what team, just Gorilla announcing the match as a Wildcard match. The main idea was to get Ahmed over (bodyslamming Yokozuna again, being buddies with Shawn Michaels apparently).
  21. HHH and Ric Flair vs. Bill Goldberg, Handicap match Chris Benoit vs. Brock Lesnar Cena vs Angle, Gimmick (I don't know... Rapper Chain Match?) Booker T, RVD, Lance Storm, Hurricane, Rosey vs. Jericho, Christian, Steiner, Orton, Batista Shawn Michaels vs. Mark Henry Rey/Kidman vs. Sakoda/Yang Guerreros vs. WGTT US Title match (Show vs Newly face turned Matt Hardy, a move I don' support.. yet). However this leaves off 2 matches involving McMahons, so.... let's put Henry and Michaels in the 5 vs 5 match (replacing Rosey and Batista) and take off the CW tag match.
  22. No, it's from the Blog.
  23. "a few of you may have noticed that your commenting privilages have been revoked. That's because this is a website about me and how great I am, and if you're looking for a free and open exchange of ideas and thoughts, feel free to fuck off" Yeah, I don't know why people dislike him either.
  24. I liked WMXIX. The control was nice and the graphics were shiney. The Hell in a Cell matches were good, too. Single player sucked, though.
