I had this weird feeling Chavo Sr. was going to come out of the match champion.

I was really impressed with Amazon today. I placed my order for MNW 10 days ago and they said it may take awhile due to it being sold out, but it ended up shipping last week. I ordered the Rumble DVD after a trip the US on Saturday failed to find it, and it shipped on Sunday. Both arrived today, which is an all time quickness record (the Rumble, anyway) in Amazon getting me something. Would have been real great if I didn't work 12 hour midnights and just woken up at 3, having to leave for work again.. right now. I did have time to watch MNW, and that was a fun feature. Some hypocricy (Foley complaining about how one night WCW made Goldberg look inept, the usual talk about WCW not allowing the new guys to break through...) but over all I thought it was well done.

Eddie Guerrero defeated Chyna and Kurt Angle in a three way match to win the Intercontinental Title. I forgot that Angle was involved in the match where Eddie won the belt.
-
I believe Eddie and Angle also had a short match on Raw way back... maybe even Eddie defending the European title. I'll just check out the WIA... Yep, May 29, 2000. European Champion, Eddie Guerrero, pinned Kurt Angle

Don't forget that write up that former Smarks News Update guy did about making sense out of the Katie Vick angle.

Ok, no one has said it, so I guess I need to. IT'S A FRIGGIN LOCAL AFFILIATE NEWS VAN

Sorry for making an entire thread for what could have just as easily been a PM to Deon Dark, but in case anyone else needed the number and couldn't find it.. "If you have already purchased Vengeance, and are looking for the missing Proof of Purchase, please call (203) 352-8600, extension 1022."

They're just being cheap, like when they replace 6 different entrance themes on one PPV (Backlash 03). This doesn't appear to be mentioned above, but PWI (the sucessor to the now worse than ever 1wrestling) mentioned Greg Valentine as a Hall of Fame inductee. Now when I started watching wrestling in 1991, he was a jobber. I know he was the IC champ in 1985, and he lasted a long time in a Rumble, but was he really ever over enough / exciting enough / important enough to warrant this?

Sounds like the DVD will include the 6-man from Heat, but it's kinda vague.

I called the number on ShopZone. It took 10 business days. The number was given to me via an IRC link and I can't seem to manually find it on ShopZone.. sorry. I know it's there somewhere though.

Your saved money may cost Eddie his push. Way to f'n go, Chris. Buy the DVD when it comes out and support Eddie's push. It's cheaper than the PPV and should in theory still help out Eduardo's cause. A bit off topic, anyone know if there wil be a 2004 DVD collection thing? I received my POP for Vengeance today and it was the most embarassing thing.. WWE sent it to me in a handwritten addressed envelope that spelled Canada "Canand" and looked really sloppy.

Vince kinda implied Eric vs Vince is happening on Raw next week... which is good, but it also makes my prediction from last week about it being at WM wrong... and I hate being wrong.

If I didn't make my thread start off with an elaborate 'joke', I would have been first. Damnit damnit damnit damnit DAMNIT. Oh well. It's probably Lesnar/Goldberg, but I've hyped myself up that he's made a deal with the WWF to regain those initials.. hence, "Where it all begins.. AGAIN".

I noticed that while Amazon now has the Cena cover and pre-order up, there is still nothing about the Angle DVD. The interesting thing is that the Angle DVD, which was announced way back with a DVD calendar with No Mercy's DVD, was supposed to come out on March 2nd.. the same day Cena's recently announced DVD is coming out. I noticed a similar occurence as the calendar said "The Rock's Greatest Hits" would be released on January 20th, but instead "Mick Foley's Greatest Hits (And Misses)" was released. While I agree with striking the iron while it's hot and releasing a Cena DVD while he's popular (get over it, folks), I didn't think it would be at the expense of Angle.

Shit I got beat.

Probably a rematch.

So Batman will be the original Tuxedo Mask dub voice, eh? *kicks my own ass for knowing that*
-
Somewhat related, remember the Austin vs Vince rumours? Anyone think that the angle with Vince being pissed at Bischoff on Raw (and subsequently more pissed this coming Monday after Goldberg shows up at No Way Out) is setting up a match between the two at Mania instead of the above rumoured match (for Eric to job in, of course)?
-
Remember EXTREME Ghostbusters? Do me a favour and please never make another GB toon again, that politically correct piece of junk almost ruined the whole legacy. Kevin Conroy as Batman > *

Sad to hear there will not be a Disc 3 rant.

Has Rey woere his Daredevil outfit outside of WMXIX?

The main feature ("The Monday Night Wars") is 88 minutes. Then the extras add another 86 minutes to make it about 3 hours (which, I understand, is the amount of footage you can put on a DVD before compressing the quality too much). I wouldn't be surprised if "The Final Nitro" is ripped right from the Flair DVD's chapter on it, myself.
-
Everyone was hoping that Flair segment was on the Flair DVD, so here it is. While I'm sure the feature is more revisionist history, it will probably be interesting. I haven't seen any of those matches (and I understand the tag title one is very good), and the Jim Cornette promo was awesome. I'll probably end up picking it up if I'm in Michigan from BEst Buy or whenever it comes out in Canada (late March).

Apologies if it's been covered... The following are the list of extras on the WWE Monday Night Wars DVD, which is scheduled to be released next Tuesday: *Stone Cold Steve Austin & Shawn Michaels vs. Owen Hart & The British Bulldog (Austin and Michaels win titles, from Raw, 5/26/97) *Stone Cold Steve Austin stuns Mr. McMahon for the first time (09/22/97, from RAW at Madison Square Garden) *Jim Cornette commentary (10/27/97, from RAW) *Vince McMahon interview: "Bret screwed Bret" (11/17/97, from RAW) *Shawn Michaels & Triple H vs. The Legion of Doom (from RAW, 12/15/97) *D-X invades WCW (04/27/98, from RAW) *The last Nitro *nWo in the production truck (07/22/96) *Eric Bischoff challenges Vince McMahon (05/11/98) *Chris Benoit vs. Booker T (06/01/98) *Bill Goldberg vs. Hulk Hogan (Goldberg wins WCW World title, from Nitro, 7/6/98) *Ric Flair returns to WCW (094/14/98) *Rick Rude appears on Nitro and RAW on the same night (11/17/97)

Don't forget Nowinski's leave of absence occured after Teddy Long became his manager. Something is seriously messed up. Keep in mind Mack's been on the shelf for awhile now and will probably be back soon, and in the meantime Long still has Jazz.
