  1. I think I was just having a bad day yesterday. Not sure why.
  2. That made me so angry! In 2008! Was this the desired reaction?
  3. I liked the giant banner for MOVIE STAR VINCENT CHASE with tv star Johnny Chase.
  4. I believe Rock once got himself either counted out or DQ'd in a triple threat match on Raw against X-Pac and HHH. I don't remember exact details but I guess one could point to that as being the origin story for the triple threat having no DQs or count outs - the referee did not know who to declare the winner.
  5. I like how the plots of Alien Cubed and Alien Resurrection both exist to say "the ending you invested your movie going experience in for the previous movie is worth jack shit". I realize I'm several years late to the party on that one, but I just watched these films for the first time over the weekend.
  6. I tried to find the context of what made Matt ask and didn't see it. That is sad to hear.
  7. I just want to officially say on public record that YKRG is on notice. Someone who has been here for one day being fully aware of Bob's Regal fandom? I don't think so. I have my eye on you. Moving on, I wish Striker could do more commentary. He's so great! I liked it when he said R-Truth was making a 'Killings' in the ring. That didn't make a lot of sense grammatically, but I enjoyed it.
  8. No lie, as soon as I saw they were using blue ropes I said to myself "zio is going to complain about the rope colour". The blue matched the logo and those electric ghosts they were using in the match graphics, so it made sense (though I see you were aware of that and just don't like blue). They really need to come up with a "PPV colour" though. I like SNME White/Silver myself. I also guarantee we are the only two people who care about this.
  9. I read the show was bad enough to make a fan of 22 years quit watching WWE forever. I'm not sure what show he watched though, since there have been worse WWE PPVs in the last 2 months (looking at you, Unforgiven). I ordered the show for the two non-Diva elimination matches and the title bouts, and I was happy with those, so good enough for me. Maybe I was being too forgiving, but HHH/Kozlov seemed no better or worse than HHH vs. Not that great opponent. Maybe people were spoiled on the Hardy matches? I know especially with Meltzer, he can give or remove upwards of **1/2 just based on crowd reactions, and obviously people were pissed off and the match was never given a chance. WWE brought that upon themselves though.
  10. I was going to start a "Yo! TSM Raps" thread about Survivor Series but I thought of that the same day this thread occurred. I don't think next week is very timely.
  11. If WWE worked Jim Ross, Tazz, Eve, HHH, Kozlov, etc. to think Jeff was really clubbed in the head in his hotel and left in the stairwell, then yes, it's as bad as a TNA work. Since I doubt that happened, it's better than a Vince Russo TNA work. Slightly.
  12. I heard that had to be cut from the UK airing. Thoughts on this, TheFranchise?
  13. They're already called that! Aren't they? "Blue Bombers" for SmackDown is the only name I actually like.
  14. He made a post advertising the game "Wanted: Weapons of Fate".
  15. http://fans.wwe.com/universeliveblogs/blog...st_beth_phoenix I like how they use one of my favourite Beth photos.
  16. The Visionaries (Team Batista) vs. The 4x4s (Team Orton) The Million Dollar Team (Team JBL) vs. The Megapowers (Team HBK) The Dream Team (Team Phoenix/Raw) vs. The Rude Brood (Team SmackDown/McCool) Obviously I just re-used those. Here's some real ideas: The Animals vs. The Voices in my Head The Heartbreak Krew vs. Wall Street Blues Raw Energy vs. The Blue Bombers. I don't really like any of those and that's probably a good indication why no team has been named since "Team USA" and "Team Canada" in 1997. (Unless you count The Alliance as a team name).
  17. You could say WWE is a victim of their own conceit. Perhaps the architect of their own defeat. Don't they see the writing on the wall? They're in way over their head. Going to drown in the things that they've said. I don't suggest saying any of that though.
  18. Now that I'm reminded of that episode, I don't think Roy Patterson would have been a bad pick.

Great news for DVD fans everywhere, I guess. I play DVDs unconverted via component cables - obviously not perfect, but is $10 more a movie really worth it? I'm already getting excellent quality in widescreen.
  20. I made unfunny song parodies to give me something to do during a slow time at work. I'm quietly making that 'my thing' (there's a parody of "Dear God" somewhere, I think CBright's "Is it me..." thread about TSM's imminent death).
  21. UK wrestling fans sound like dicks.
  22. I like to write poems? I must admit that rap gave me a laugh.
  23. Oh but see, they're doing it around the anniversary of the death of Eddie Guerrero and everything in wrestling has a double meaning and nothing is a coincidence, so death to the WWE!
  24. Well, the 5 on 5 matches from 1987 were much better than say, Jerry Lawler and his midgers vs Doink and his midgets. Perhaps that's the comparison. I don't agree with it totally (95 and 96 both have great 4 on 4 matches) but as a one-liner, I thought it was funny.
  25. I remember KOAB's fake title. That was awesome. Then people were all like "TSM HAS TOO MANY PEOPLE WATCHING THE WINDOWS" and that was the end of that.
