World Heavyweight Championship: Chris Jericho © vs. John Cena WWE Championship: Triple H © vs. Vladimir Kozlov vs. Jeff Hardy (?) Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match: Team HBK (The Great Khali, Rey Mysterio, Cryme Tyme, and Shawn Michaels) vs. Team JBL (MVP, Kane, The Miz & John Morrison, and JBL) Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match: Team Batista (World Tag Team Champions CM Punk & Kofi Kingston, ECW Champion Matt Hardy, R-Truth, and Batista) vs. Team Orton (Mark Henry, WWE Intercontinental Champion William Regal, WWE United States Champion Shelton Benjamin, Cody Rhodes, and Randy Orton) Casket Match: The Undertaker vs. The Big Show Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match: Team Raw Divas (Candice Michelle, Kelly Kelly, Mickie James, Jillian Hall, and WWE Women's Champion Beth Phoenix) vs. Team SmackDown Divas (Maria, Maryse, Victoria, Natalya, and WWE Divas Champion Michelle McCool) I'm a sucker for elimination matches and the two titles matches should be fine (though I'm not so sure about a HHH vs. Kozlov one on one match if that's what ends up happening). Jericho vs. Cena is interesting in the sense that, much like Cyber Sunday, they've booked themselves into another corner where either Jericho loses, giving him yet another short title reign, or Cena fails on his heavily hyped big return. I imagine it will be a schmoz with the WWE Title match having a clean ending (which at one point I thought was Hardy winning). Undertaker should end his feud with Big Show (or was one of the "Canadian" folk suggested - Dragon? Destroyer (who is not even Canadian)? - Umaga could hide in the casket to start the next feud). I think Team Orton, Team HBK, and Team Raw will come out victorious, but really those results seem irrelevant and I'll just be happy with good matches. I'm hoping for some classic Shawn vs. The Odds, ending with some good interaction with Morrison. Edit: That bastard beat me to the punch but I'm leaving all my match preview links in anyway.

The Blu Ray rumour is news to wikipedia (which claims the format has a faster grow rate than DVD did). What's on the horizon to take it over?

Comments which don't warrant a thread.
DrVenkman PhD replied to Giuseppe Zangara's topic in No Holds Barred
I wasnt at work..I was at home enjoying the satellite feed of Smackdown a day early on the big satellite I used to have. It was fun to stay up late and be one of the first people to get to see the aired version of Smackdown, and also because I didnt actually get UPN and couldnt watch it otherwise. I cant watch SD anymore now due to not having MNTV so I have to wait for the german dude on youtube to upload it...ugh. I was actually referring to the first part of his post, about how TSM could have a late-night thread for people making random comments. There were several Smackdown spoiler threads like that in '03 or '04, before one of the mods said to stop it. Yes, the two were unrelated, though I was mistaken in saying you were at work. I think you were in the Gulag or something, I don't remember. Either way the concept carried over to here. -
Just so I have the right etiquette on this for future reference, it's NOT ok to call a woman out for being a bit 'dippy', because doing so makes you sexist. Right?

I watched "Alien" last night and "Aliens" this morning. Why the hell I waited 22 years to watch Aliens (and since I was born after Alien, let's just use the same year figure for it) is beyond me. Incredible! And now I know where "Game over, man!" originated.

KOAB may try and out me as a racist, but I'm no sexist!

I filled my screen right up until I got an HD box. I thought it didn't look THAT stretched, but now I chastise everyone else I see doing that. Which is everyone I've ever seen own an HDTV. With Cogeco, I have to manually use my TV's remote to change the aspect ratio. It's on full when I'm watching the HD channels, but if it's time to watch Charles in Charge on Dejaview, I have to set it to 4:3. There is an "HD Zoom" button the remote that does nothing. When visiting a friend in London, his Rogers HD automatically converted non-HD networks to only show up on 4:3 but the "zoom" button actually worked if you wanted it to (which we didn't, as after I hooked up his parents HD receiver last Spring I showed him the error of his ways - he's on board with proper screen formats now). I've been at a friend's house with Bell ExpressVu - same deal, their zoom function actually works but it seems to reset or not work properly. They had their TV set to full zoom for watching Seinfeld on a non-HD channel, then when hockey was on I thought the screen look really bizarre. I figured out the whole zoom thing and fixed it. Of course I have a big f'ing black line / segment running down the left 'pane' of my TV now (which oddly has disappeared in recent weeks) so maybe these no black bars people are on to something.

http://www.the-newsroom.com/2008/11/wwe-wh...-16x9-dvds.html So, WWE has been releasing their PPVs in enhanced for 16x9 DVD format?

Peter Griffin was also a possible pick of mine after I lost Bender.
-
I do enjoy that movie.

It was a toss up between Betty White complaining about thieves - people who watch PBS for free - making her so angry ("You know who you are!") or this man complaining about 3 prawns not equalling a galaxy: President Arnold Schwarzenegger. I was elected to lead, not to read! (My line for Gary Coleman was "Yes sir Mr. President!", giving me the idea to change it up).

I was referring to Kings. Of all Blacks, Henry, Lawler, Larry. They've done a lot.

I have no powers here, sadly.

WWE General Discussion-November 2008
DrVenkman PhD replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in The WWE Folder
SummerSlam 2006 WAS pretty plain jane, but on paper the idea was it had your Hogan, your Foley/Flair, your DX vs. McMahons "blow off" match (which it wasn't). Paper is very important. -
What happened was, HBK is on record in some interview as stating he's given WWE a for sure retirement date. Jim Ross then made some comment about how HBK might be retiring after Mania 26 in 2010. So, people put it together. The thought process is by 2010, the world will be ready for another Flair like legit retirement ceremony (because he wants one now too.). Hogan is planning on ruining it all by trying to get his own soon.

When I say something like that, it takes people by surprise. It's not real talk though. Your people have made some great contributions to society.
-
I have to think about this. Do I want to use one shot joke character Little Moe Simpson ("why does everybody keep callin me that?")... no. Surprise Pick 10 Bender is out as well. I was going to pick Lindsay Neagle but it seems "the internets" can't agree how to spell her name, they all hate her, and all I could come up with "Zing, Zork, Kapowza!". Maybe I was confusing her with the female that talks about the directors cut of Booty Call in the Mel Gibson episode. Alec Bladwin is no Ron Howard, however... "It *is* personal! He's got our underpants!"

God bless the new economics of video games. I now have HMV and Koodo banners all over the game. Makes it real!

Let's Talk About...No Holds Barred

Cowboy is OTC! Brooklyn Zoo, come on down.
-
I assume then vanishes so no one can beat him up, right? I heard that was an issue THQ had.
-
Also, what's the deal with Hornswoggle's managing skills? Is he invisible? Do you need to do some special move that summons him?
-
A-B conversation, C your way out. Thanks.

Surely SOME holds must be barred?
