  1. Yeah, he should have been stopped, but I see the way the fight ended as Vitali losing rather than Lewis winning. Vitali was way ahead on points at the time the fight was called off, and, if not for the cuts, Vitali would almost assuredly have beaten Lewis that night. And if that had happened, you can bet that Lewis would have stuck around until he got the World Title back. So what you're saying is that he'd NEVER retire then
  2. Well is NHB long? The more info the better, and apparently it has something like 80 interviews or something, I have been looking for a review of it but can't find one. Good for Mark Kerr I guess. It's too bad he won't fight anymore, I would've loved to see him fight in the GP. He seemed like he really wanted to after that fight where he KO'ed himself too. I think Mark Kerr, stylistically, can beat anyone there except for Cro Cop, Noguiera, Fyodor and Kharitanov. If he was aggressive as he was with guys like Varelens, who knows? He won ADCC so you know he could at least avoid submission attempts, he manhandled Barnett in one match too.
  3. My sentiments pretty much. I'm surprised at the amount of love he gets and the hate Vick gets on this board. The ESPN thing doesn't fly because the media love Brady way more then Vick. People seem to give him all the credit for their two super bowl wins. That defense and Belichick are what people fear when they come to New England, Brady is great but he's not as good as people say. There's a bias in there, I don't know what it is though.
  4. I'm sure Lennox would gladly fight Bernard Hopkins. I'm not talking about pound for pound bullshit. I'm talking about the guy who could beat the shit out of more people than any other motherfucker alive. Someone mentioned me? PS- Klitschko still hasn't proven himself to be the best HW in boxing just yet, so let's hold off the coronation for now. Holla. And I agree about how Vitali will be viewed. The fact is he's best HW because there aren't really any other HW for him to take on. If there's someone whom we know to be an "elite" boxer as opposed to most of the guys he fought, who are obviously elite but not comparitively with past glory years, then we can't call him the undisputed best. The fact is he lost to a guy that was the best, and it will take a few big fights for him to really cement himself in that position. I do think he will beat Lennox if they fight again, but the bottom line is that he lost due to a nasty cut and deserved to lose that match.
  5. I actually heard that Brawl is a good behind the scenes book for the early UFC's and stuff, and is recommended in most reviews that I see it. Buy the Smashing Machine, that is a great movie, MMA or not. It will teach you more about the career of a fighter then Ultimate Shamrock would. Also, I am surprised that Kerr hasn't ever spoken out about it. I can only imagine that he would either be very pleased with it or displeased since it painted him in such a negative picture near the end, not to mention the hatred for the woman he's now married to. Does anyone know if he's spoken out about it at all?
  6. Do you want the Bills? If BPS does want the Bills, I call the New York Football giants.
  7. This is one of the bigger movie award shows though, which award show do you suggest having any credibility?
  8. How does this thing work? I call the Bills.
  9. So they did this to prevent people from protesting, or is that too much of a conspiracy?
  10. For a minute I thought that THE Rock was hosting. Oh well, I've officially dismissed the Oscars as a credible Awards Ceremony, joining the rest, with the Grammies being the worst offenders.
  11. This show isn't supposed to obey rules of Reality TV though, as guys shouldn't stay or go based on conduct. They stay or go depending on their abilities and commitment to fighting. Leben is clearly a better fighter, and came in better shape, I don't see how he could get kicked out over Sanford. The fact that he just bitched out on Leben instead of defending himself only sealed his fate.
  12. Dana said the point of the first couple of episodes was to get people familiar with the fighters and connect to them when they start to be eliminated through fighting, so it's like trying to establish an emotional connection. We'll see.
  13. Overeem confirmed it on his website.
  14. The Eagles were crying and stuff after they won. Do they not realize that there is still one game left? Talk about a major letdown. They are going to be beaten, and I don't see them making much of a game out of it. I want them to win, I hope they do, but all signs point to a spanking. The only they have going for them is that the Pats have not played them this year, and we all know that Belichick doesn't do too well on his first time with an opposing QB. Of course, he has two weeks to prepare, so it shouldn't be that bad. I pick NE in a blowout due to the fact that they are more dominating then they've EVER been.
  15. I would have put in Joe Carter but I don't actually remember what was said. The call isn't memorable, even if the play was.
  16. That didn't cross my mind at all. "Wide Right" for the bad. "There's the Bas buck..oh no, armbar! ARMBAR!" for the good. "That's disgusting" for the ugly. Joe Buck you oversensitive bitch. Czech Republic is a terrible poster.
  17. One you will probably lose.
  18. no, it's a boiler room on top of a hospital. Sometimes.... just sometimes... I run into posts like these, and I want to live again. Thank you, netslob, and thank you MST3K. Another problem with heaven: okay, let's say that you die and go to heaven. But your parents, spouse, children, and friends all go to hell. Are you happy? I can give you all the definition of Heaven and Hell from a Christian perspective, but it would only make sense if you took the concepts seriously and you probably were a Christian. I used to wonder that myself, but really if you think about it it's a no-brainer.
  19. Here's hoping the Bills throw Drew in with Travis in some sort of crazy deal, get something for the O-line perhaps, and just run with Losman.
  20. I went to camp one year and this kid's dad looked like Rich Kotite, in fact that's what went through my head. He cried a few times during the week. Lesson of the story, Rich Kotite and anyone that looks like him, or anyone that is related to him or anyone that is related to someone that looks like him, is a loser. The question now is how much of a spark will T.O. provide?
  21. Well I picked the proven vets, and I was right. Never go against Belichek against a rookie QB in the playoffs, and the Falcons had too much inexperience to contend. Oh well, I think the hype on T.O. is a little overdone, since he won't change his team THAT much, but here's hoping they make a game of it, because this NE team has dynasty written all over it, and I doubt they will lose. With that being said... GOOOOOOOOO EAGLES!!!!
  22. That wasn't as much of a cry as it was confusion. You'd think people in this folder would be interested in stuff like this. Colin Farrell really is the Bad Boy though, so you know.
  23. I guess he takes a stance of acceptance.
