Why is this match great? I don't understand the little things I guess. While I thoroughly enjoyed it, I have to say that I don't understand why some hype it as much as they do. It told a great story, in Rey trying to best Eddie, and whenever he'd get close, and build up a run, he would get bested as Eddie would counter. The ending obviously complements this. But is that enough for it to get all the hype it does? What more than this does it have? I'm not trying to be an ass or anything, I honestly want to know why so many people consider this to be so amazing. I want to know the reasoning behind it. I'm not a wrestling junkie, so I can't really break things down, but I'm interested in what the knowledgable folk here have to say.

Yves should merk his ass. GSP would be a good coach. He's good at explaining stuff, is super patient, and is humble enough to deal with some ego-driven former UFC fighters who would assume that they don't need to be on the show to be back in the game. GSP would be best equipped to deal with the Johnny Drama type- "I am the fuckin' game pal!" What do you guys think should be learned by people wanting to fight MMA. It's complicated, they should do it all, but in terms of priorities? Personally, I feel it's ground defenses and wrestling first, than striking, than some more complex ground game stuff. As most top fighters these days have shown, strikers are making their mark.

I know guys that have trained for quite a bit in good gyms (Tristar and BTT Canada being notable examples) that can probably take out a good deal of lower level MMA guys. Some of them post on these forums. I know it's standard to assume that we're all just keyboard warriors, but that just isn't the case with MMA. A lot of the guys do train.
