My God. Do you have any idea how many players out there would KILL for that guitar? You sir, are the man.
-
He probably did the name-dropping thing to either A). get his point across, or B). sound cooler than he actually is.

The first tape I ever purchased was John Cougar Mellencamp's Scarecrow back in 1986. Oh, to be 6 again... The first cd I ever bought was KISS' Double Platinum back in 1996.

Jeff Buckley for me.

Who's the oldest poster on TSM?

Well, I just turned 24 last month, making me nowhere near the oldest poster at this board. -
Speaking of type O, I quite like the end of "Black No. 1." Just Sal Abruscato's repeated drum line and the wind and rain. Very cool and kind of creepy.

"Cup of Coffee"- Garbage

I'd say that Roc-A-Fella has been pretty successful thus far.
-
I love the drumming right before the final chorus of Tool's "46 & 2." Danny carey does some pretty sweet stuff on the skins to set up the end of the song. Awesomeness. The intro to Dropkick Murphys "The Spicy McHaggis Jig" owns. What can I say? I'm a sucker for bagpipes. The way Bon Scott says But he made it out/With a bullet in his back in "Jailbreak" is some of the baddest ass vocals ever recorded. The second solo to Thin Lizzy's "Cowboy Song" is just perfect.

The one album you own that most others don't.

Wither, Blister, Burn and Peel is still a great album. I always thought that while Christopher Hall didn't have the greatest voice in the world, he still wrote some great lyrics. -

They may not have done wonders for Cantrell, but at least they're releasing his music. Anytime you're forced to ride/swing from Chad Kroeger's nuts, you know your label has become a joke. -
Yeah really. Otherwise, what would be the point in getting the limo ride?
-
If you get thrown out, would the limo pick you up at jail and take you home?
-
Does anyone actually think that Courtney Love would be capable of planning a murder, writing a suicide letter, and covering up the whole thing so she gets off scott-free? Yeah, I don't think so either.

Come on now, Agent. Roadrunner still has Type O Negative on their roster. And Jerry Cantrell, too. At least I think he's still with them. Other than those two, stay away from Roadrunner. I mean, NICKELBAK is signed to that label, or at least was at one time (I think). -

Even fewer people I know own ...The More Things Change, which I actually prefer over Burn My Eyes. If I'm feeling murderous and can't get my hands on Slayer, I turn on "Struck a Nerve" and it calms me down a bit. -
Albums that are widely disliked that you enjoy

The more I listen to Load, the more I like it. I find different little knicks that I hadn't heard in previous listenings, whic is always good. However, the more I listen to Re-Load, the more my dislike grows. I just can't find anything god about that album, though "The memory Remains" is a pretty decent little song. -

Three words: "Thumbing My Way" Seriously, I don't get the hate for Riot Act. The hate for No Code I can understand, but I thought Riot Act, as well as Binaural (another album that PJ fans shit on) were great albums. They're not as good as Ten or Vs., but both are filled with great/catchy tracks. -
I've read alot about this album, and I hope it delivers. I'll definitely be picking the disc up when it's released (22 June, by the way), and perhaps I'll give it a review. I hope The Beautiful Struggle doesn't disappoint, otherwise, I'm going to have to break Paragon's legs, and I don't want to do that.

DFD is definitely a unique band to say the least. I heard their first album and liked it alot. I always thought that Dog Fashion Disco was the homicidal maniac bastard child of Tool, Faith No More and Mr. Bungle.
-
I'd recommend Social Distortion's Prison Bound as well as their self-titled album. Actually, fuck it. Get your grubby little mitts on ANYTHING Mike Ness has recorded.
-
Great guitarist, and a great album. Trower is such an unsung guitar her. He's one of my favourites, up there with David Gilmour and Robert Fripp. And yes, Agent, Bakerton is Maines, Sult, and Gastier. By the way, do you of any Neil Fallon side projects?

"Mouthful of Cavities"- Blind Melon

If anyone on this board is into bluegrassy-jam band stuff, I'd liketo recommend moe. to you. I've seen praise for Phish and even some love for The Bakerton Trio, but in all honesty, I think moe. smokes 'em all. Just my two cents.
