I have to go with Nirvana. They just never did much for me, and Kurt's skills as a musician/songwriter were nothing special. Grohl was the most talented member of that band, hands down.

I'd like to read a review of G.E Smith's playing, as I think he's a damn good guitarist.

Diamond Head was a part of the NWOBHM. They wrote several songs that Metallica covered over the years, including "The Prince" and "Am I Evil?" They were a pretty good band. Nothing special, but good.

Tommy Lee was doing Methods of Mayhem, and then a solo album. Vince Neill was on the Surreal Life TV show. Vince just got busted for assaulting a hooker(or maybe it was a stripper). Either way, he's a fat, drunk, useless hack of a vocalist. Mick Mars has some strange medical condition that causes his joints to lock up, which obviously affects his guitar playing. Nikki Sixx is cool, rich, and fucks Donna D'Errico. There's your Motley update.

I remember watching Lauryn Hill's "Unplugged" and thinking "What happened?" It was just bad. She didn't sound good, and her playing was just...blah. I love Lauryn Hill and all, but she just disappeared.

"Children's Story"- Slick Rick

I have a Pink Floyd import entitled A Rhapsody in Pink by The Screaming Abdabs that's just AMAZING. It's a live BBC recording from 1971. It stars with 10+ minutes of "Embryo" followed by "Julia Dream." It also contains 15 minutes of the "Atom Hear Mother" Suite, "Careful with that Axe, Eugene," "Echoes" and "One of These Days." It's such the killer album.

I wasn't a big fan of Obselete. It wasn't terrible by any stretch, but it just wasn't to my liking. Although I still mark-out for the re-make of "Cars."

Happy birthday dude, albeit a couple of days early.

They're playing in Pittsburgh on 1 August, but I'll be out in Dublin, Ohio for a Celtic Fest all weekend. Perhaps I'll just stay out there an extra day and see type O for the 3rd time Monday night. Man, that'd be a KILLER weekend of shows for me--Flogging Molly twice and Type O. Man, I feel cool now.
