  1. I'd say they were easily Meng's best matches in WCW. I disagree. I think his match with Sting at GAB95 was his best in WCW. Man, there's a lot of posting activity going on in this thread for a short amount of time. Sting was always good against *big, powerful guys. I remember liking the match you're talking about but it's been several years since I've seen it. *Meng wasn't as big as Vader or the Giant but he was wrestling as an undestructable force at the time. When he initially came to WCW he was put over big time as a lethal monstor. He still had that gimmick when he wrestled Benoit in 97 but it wasn't quite as strong as before. Yah Sting also dragged Giant/Big Show to his best WCW match and, possibly, best overall singles match. Vader thought him well how to work around big guys. And I actually liked Meng/Haku as a worker a lot more than most did(until the late 90's atleast) as he knew how to work matches aorund his strengths and had a pretty good moveset at times in his career. Plus the Islanders are one of the most underrated tag teams ever. As for the Benoi/Meng matches, I've only seen one. It was at the Slamboree 97 PPV, I think, and I remember it being decent but not much more.

  3. Tony Montana Maj. Dutch Shaefer James Bond John Shaft Martin Riggs
  4. When I was a kid I watched that match over and over again. That suplerplex is, to this day, amazing to see.
  5. Man this just hit me hard, I can't believe it. Possibly the only guy to main event against the two biggest draws ever in their primes(89 vs Hogan, 98 vs Austin) and he sure as hell put on a show every time he was out there. One of my favorite memories of him is his short itme in the 92 Rumble. He wasn't in there long but he sure as hell livened up the place when he came out. Maybe he can finally finish that feud with Mr. Perfect now...he could still have Andre in his corner and Perfect can have Rude. What I wouldn't give to see that match now. RIP Ray
  6. Fuck man! You scared the shit out of me. I'd hate Vince going to NY, they have NOTHING to give back to us.
  7. Well I started clayton and Colbert. Colbert paid off and Clayton was average. Didn't check Gabriel yet. BTW, speaking of good trades, 2 weeks ago I traded Charles Rogers for Domanack Davis. Damn that turned out well.
  8. I'll give it a shot, I'm in.
  9. I see this as Lewis/Tyson Redux. Hopkins will be playing Lewis and Oscar will be Tyson. And i'm gonna love it.
  10. Hogan Hulking Up at WMX8 Bret's entrance at IYH:Canadian Stampede Hogan slamming Andre Bulldog winning at SS92 Rock's pop at RR2000
  11. 1989 for me. Sentimental value all the way.
  12. Ok I'm leaning to go with Clayton and Colbert since there's more chance of Clayton getting action behind Brown & Lee than Gabriel getting much behind Rice & Porter. Another one now(diff. league): Who do I put in my WR/RB spot: Charles Lee, Reggie Williams(Jac) or Julius Jones?
  13. Savage/Flair. Rock/Austin is the runner-up.
  14. Ok in my league we play 4 WR's. I got Harrison and Chambers set for 2/4's. But for the other 2 spots I have Doug Gabriel, Michael Clayton and Keiry Colbert. Which 2 should I play this week?
  15. Preach on brotha. Foley is also overrated to an extent. Don't get me wrong he's a TREMENDOUS mic worker but not the best. The way I see it when Piper's on, no one touches him. But yah don't get me started on Foley or Jericho in ring. BTW am I the only one who believes that Vince absolutely SMOKES Heyman on the mic?
  16. You're a bit off. Bulldog and Owen are INSANELY over. Taker still gets a relative face reaction. Vader & Patriot(and HBK) are boo'ed out of the building. And Bret gets themost mixed reaction I have ever heard.
  17. 1. Roddy Piper 2. Steve Austin 3. Hulk Hogan 4. The Rock 5. Mick Foley 6. Ric Flair 7. Brian Pillman 8. Jake Roberts 9. Arn Anderson 10. Vince McMahon(would be higher if he was an actual wrestler)
  18. One Night Only Bret/Taker is a great match and one of Taker's best(maybe his best non-gimmick match).
  19. Was this the one in season 2 where George still works in a job in which he got fired in season 1? Something like that. And I have NEVER seen a repeat of the Peurto Rican Day.
  20. Rock/Hogan - WMX8 Savage/Flair - WM8 10 Man Tag - Canadian Stampede Bret/Owen - WM10 Not coincidentally those are also my 4 favorite matches ever.
  21. Wow, Shaun Alexander gets no love? He's been one of the most consistant backs for a few years now. He guarantees atleast 1400 yds and 10 TD's. He's top 5 in my opinion. No doubt about it.
  22. Top RB's are(in order); 1. Tomlinson 2. Lewis 3. Deuce 4. Priest 5. Alexander 6. Ahman Portis isn't in the same league as those 6. Considering OLANDIS GARY got over 1000 yds playing in Denver, Portis' season aint that much of an accomplishment. He's by far the most overrated player in the league.
  23. Calico is hurt and not 100%, so if you're getting Smith/Car take the deal. Plus I liek Car's D better anyway since TB lost Lynch and Sapp.
