Anyone know how good LXW's November 15 show was? I see Mexico's Most Wanted defeated Aerial Express on the website and that match must've rocked.
-
That would suck for that to be an easter egg, it was like two seconds. The clip is included in the nWo DVD during one of the promo easter eggs.

The easiest target in the fall of WCW is Vince Russo, because he was the fall of WCW. '99 was actually a great year wrestling wise for WCW, but then in '00 they brought in Vince Russo and everything fell apart. I'm surprised there isn't anybody mentioning Russo.

I think MLW should try and run in North and South Carolina. I think I remember OMEGA drawing good, and that was before Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Shane Helms, Shannon Moore, Christian York, and Joey Matthews became stars. So a promotion with already well-known wrestlers should do good.
-
Let's hate MLW for booking talent they know will draw in the Northeast. Why can't he use unknown talent and draw double-digit crowds.
-
A.J. Styles, Low Ki, Bryan Danielson, Homicide, Steve Corino, and everyone else are not Ring of Honor's talent. You can say that Ring of Honor did the very same thing and stole talent from Jersey All Pro Wrestling, U.S.A. Pro Wrestling, IWA Mid-South, East Coast Wrestling Association, and All Pro Wrestling.

I got it last night and from what I've seen, which is just the full Royal Rumble, it's been great. The tribute from after Raw is pretty cool, although I expected something more. I saw the first fall of the 2/3 Falls match with Ricky Steamboat and it was great. The packaging of the DVD itself is great, I love how it folds out and has classic pictures.

Their new website is pretty nice, and it looks like Raven is no longer with them. That may be a good move financially, and my guess is Terry Funk will be gone after his match with Steve Corino.
-
You all act like Ring of Honor was the first promotion to ever book Homicide vs. Low Ki when 3PW had a match between them a few months ago, and they wrestled each other many times in '01 for JAPW.
-
I don't see what Chris Nowinski did to get this much fan support. He is mediocre in the ring, and he is nothing special on the microphone.
-
I would say get Hostile Takeover if you want to see what XPW was like on their best day. Mexico's Most Wanted vs. New Panthers is a very fun spotfest, and watching Juventud Guerrera mumble his way through a promo is always fun.
-
Underrated mat skills? Their match at Expect the Unexpected started with mat wrestling, and it sucked. I say stick with I Quit or Texas Death for a good brawl.
-
The Last Rites and Angel's Wings are the only moves I've seen him win a match with.
-
Because TNA will be a whole lot better to watch since we don't have to wait a month between shows to see what happens.
-
They should include Sting vs. Hulk Hogan from Starrcade '97 where Bret hart pulls a screwjob on Hogan.
-
I would have to say the Bryan Danielson vs. Paul London is my personal MOTY. It was one of the few matches that I watched the first time and didn't lose interest. A.J. Styles vs. Paul London just didn't feel right to me, I felt it was more of an extended collection of spots with no real psychology.
-
The argument was obviously about which color is more over, blue or green.
-
And Jeff Jarrett's matches against Scott Hall were decent in '95, and obviously Hall wasn't carrying the match.
-
The same Prince Justice that was at the very first TNA show? If so, he has lost some weight and gotten alot taller.
-
The draw for Judgment Day didn't have anything to do with the card, The Rock, or Triple H. It was the return of the Undertaker which was pretty much confirmed to the crowd through those vignettes they aired with the little girls.
-
Bill Goldberg vs. Hulk Hogan from Monday Nitro '98, where Goldberg wins the World title for the first time. Crowd heat was absolutely off the charts.
-
Shane Helms vs. Shannon Moore from Monday Nitro late '00 or early '01. Only about eight minutes long, but non-stop action from start to finish.
-
Thank you "Sick" Nick Mondo, you made deathmatches fun to watch again.

But, the top talent having Ring of Honor as their top priority is not the promotion's fault, so they are not like Vince McMahon buying out competition and crap. The talent probably choose Ring of Honor because of the payoff, crowd, and exposure through videos. As long as Ring of Honor doesn't try to sign any talent to exclusive contracts they will never have a monopoly on the independent scene.
