Michael Vick going to the Pro Bowl is pretty sad. There are plenty of other quarterbacks in the NFC that have had better years than him, being a fast-runner shouldn't make you an automatic Pro Bowl selection considering a quarterbacks job is to pass.

I don't know what St. Louis' final three games are but if Carolina can win their remaining two games and St. Louis goes to 8-8, Carolina would be in the playoffs. I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch against Atlanta. I'm a Panthers fan but I have to question alot of the play-calling late in the game last night, they are best at game-winning drives in the final two minutes of play so they should've let Delhomme air it out and hit Colbert a few more times instead of playing for overtime when Atlanta beat them in overtime last year. Still a great game, and Julius Peppers one arm grab of the fumble should definitely be a highlight of the year, but after all of the ups and downs that ending just left me feeling sick to my stomach.

As long as they don't take the easy way out and use matches which have already been on DVDs before I'll be happy. I'm guessing the feature will have stuff about his feuds against Sabu, Jerry Lynn, Rhyno, and Jeff Hardy. Chris Benoit vs. Rob Van Dam from SummerSlam '02 is also a possible match to put on there.

Wow, that game last night was great. Even though I knew the ending of the game I still found myself asking "How are they going to pull this off?" when they entered the third period down 0-3. Great play from Jose Theodore, but the Carolina Hurricanes were just ON in that third period.

If A.J. Styles decided to shoot on Kevin Nash, he would be killed. As small as A.J. Styles looks beside guys like Jeff Jarrett, he probably looks like one of the Mexican Minis beside Kevin Nash. I'm watching the replay of last night's show right now, Raven vs. Ron Killings should be good.

All I know is that I'll be watching Carolina Hurricanes vs. Montreal Canadiens from '02 in what I've heard was a very good game. Anyone else watching their team's "classic" games? Since I get Fox Sports South, I get both Carolina Hurricanes and Nashville Predators.
-
I've heard good things about most of those shows. Revolution is probably the best all-around show of the three, Roderick Strong vs. Sonjay Dutt was the first match between the two that was so good everyone started booking them against each other, the 4-Way Jr. Heavyweight match was said to have been an awesome spotfest, Homicide vs. Teddy Hart is a very entertaining ass-kicking, and Christopher Daniels vs. Jerry Lynn was said to have been a good technical matchup. Amazing Red vs. Teddy Hart from Amazing Sacrifice was said to have been good, but it was an arena-spanning brawl instead of a spotfest you'd think these two would have. When Worlds Collide is probably an all-around alright event, I can't really remember anything in particular from it.

I don't see how putting someone over Jushin Liger would give them a rub, most casual fans have probably never heard of him and would just think of him as another random masked guy brought in. Most casual fans could probably care less about Japanese wrestling.

Chris Candido can put on some pretty entertaining wrestling matches working the style WWE seems to be going with now. If they do decide to bring back the Bodydonnas, I would rather see them managed by Dawn Marie, Miss Jackie, or someone from OVW rather than wasting time trying to get Sunny into shape.

If North Carolina's defense could be this pumped up on a weekly basis they could have a pretty formidable team.

Anyone else watching Miami vs. North Carolina?

Let's Make DEFINITIVE "Best of" Years

WCW '99: -Billy Kidman vs. Juventud Guerrera vs. Psychosis vs. Rey Mysterio (Souled Out) -Billy Kidman and Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko (Monday Nitro, Kidman and Mysterio win titles) -Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko vs. Perry Saturn and Raven (Spring Stampede) -Billy Kidman and Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko vs. Perry Saturn and Raven (Slamboree) -Bret Hart vs. Chris Benoit (Owen Hart Tribute Match) Billy Kidman, Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn, Raven, and Rey Mysterio are what I consider a precursor to the Smackdown Six as any match between any of the six in '99 is good. -
I'm guessing the third team you are talking about is Billy Kidman and Rey Mysterio Jr. The various matches between those three teams in '99 were great.

I always hate idiot fans rioting after a win or loss, and the sad thing is fatalities seem to happen more when a certain team wins than when it loses. I say if you need alcohol to get through a playoff game then maybe you're not enough of a fan to be there in the first place.

I have one minor suggestion and that would be instead of having multiple versions of the same match on your video, just get the best one and free up some space for different matches. C.M. Punk vs. Homicide, Homicide vs. Samoa Joe, and A.J. Styles vs. C.M. Punk are a few examples of matches where if you've seen one you've seen them all. As much hype as it gets on this forum C.M. Punk vs. Samoa Joe from World Title Classic should probably be up there.

Touchdown California Panthers!

I think to have good attendance you need a good team and that is one thing the Carolina Hurricanes haven't had. When they had their run to the Stanley Cup finals in '02 the arena was packed and the state was excited about '03 and beyond. What do the Carolina Hurricanes do the next season? Finish last in their division and in the entire NHL, after that the additional fans gave up on the team and only the hardcore hockey fans were left. The arena is still pretty full on some nights but if Carolina had a team worth watching I am sure they could get alot more. I would think North Carolina has a fairly solid hockey following as we have quite a few minor league teams around here and I suppose they draw good crowds if they are still going. As for the six teams losing the most, Carolina, Phoenix, Florida, and Atlanta come to mind.

I have to settle for Bills/Patriots as my Fox affiliate feels Mystic Pizza would be a better ratings grabber than some of the football games going on today. When is Colts/Jaguars?

When did Petey Williams lose the IWA-MS Title?
JustJoe2k5 replied to zyn081's topic in General Wrestling
I believe C.M. Punk started defending the title throughout the tournament in '02, Danny Daniels continued in '03, and Petey Williams did in '04. It isn't a tradition as both Punk and Daniels announced they would defend the title instead of it being implied so I think it was a really clever way of keeping the title off Styles while allowing him to continue in the tournament and build heat for an eventual rematch. -
Carolina Panthers missing two of their bigger players beating a Kansas City Chiefs team that everyone on ESPN has going to the Super Bowl was great to watch.

I still have a few doubts about Foster. He showed some good stuff in the Playoffs last year, but his two fumbles in the few runs he had in the preseason kind of made me worry. Keary Colbert, however, has looked really good in the preseason with three 60+ yards touchdown catches from Chris Weinke. He couldn't replace Steve Smith, but with Proehl and Muhammed both getting up in years he could easily step in if either one retires.
-
Yeah, Keary Colbert may take Steve Smith's place on the field, but he definitely will not get the amount of throws Steve Smith would've gotten. I don't think Jake Delhomme and Keary Colbert have ever been on the field together in a game as all of Keary Colbert's touchdowns in the preseason came from Chris Weinke. Muhsin Muhammed will be the go-to-guy for Jake Delhomme, so I would say he is the better pick. And with Stephen Davis out the next couple of weeks, Carolina will probably rely more on passing until they can gain back confidence in Foster.

Well, if Shawn Michaels wins the fan voting then you can't really blame WWE for giving the fans what they want. WWE probably planned on the Hell in a Cell being their final match, but if the fans want to see one more match between them they'll give it to them. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels in a ladder match for the Intercontinental title just for the hell of it.
