Back in 1998, I remember reading in the WWF magazine that Kane (who had turned face at that time) was hinted to feud with The Undertaker & his Ministry of Darkness. Taker had turned heel on Kane at JD 1998, and reunited with Paul Bearer. The Taker/Kane feud started up, again, as well as a brief feud between Kane & The Brood. Was it true that there was supposed to be a Kane/Ministry feud, back then? And, if so, why was it scrapped? Russo?

The new Tag Team Champions took on all comers over the course of the next few months. Scott Hall & Kevin Nash came to WCW, and said that they, along with a mystery buddy declared that they were taking over. The 3rd man was revealed as Hulk Hogan at BATB. After feuding with Sting & Luger, The Outsiders then turned their attention to the WCW Tag Team Champions, The Horsemen. Brian Pillman & Chris Benoit. At Hog Wild, Hollywood Hogan managed to beat Ric Flair for the World Title. The Outsiders wanted the tag belts, held by The Horsemen. They would get their shot at Holloween Havoc. The Horsemen managed to retain by DQ, when Pillman made Hall bleed like a mofo by stabbing him in the head with a fork. The Horsemen then scored an upset victory over Hall & Nash, the next night on Nitro. How long will The Horsemen's luck continue? Stay tuned.

Wrestlemania 21 WWF Championship Rob Van Dam def. Triple H to win the title with the 5-star frogsplash Chris Jericho def. Chris Benoit to win the title by reversing the crossface into a pinfall combination. Another 30 minute wrestling classic. After the match, the new WWF Champion, RVD comes out to celebrate with Jericho as finally, their times have come. The End, or is it?

Following developments Triple H defeats John Cena to retain the WWF Title at Smackdown's next PPV, No Way Out. Also, Rob Van Dam defeats Booker T to earn a WWF Title shot against HHH at Wrestlemania 21. Chris Benoit defeated Edge again to retain the World Title on the next big RAW before Smackdown's PPV.

Royal Rumble WWF Championship Triple H defeated Kurt Angle with the pedigree to retain the title, and end Angle's career. Kurt recieves a loud, standing ovaition as he leaves. World Heavyweight Championship Chris Benoit defeated Edge to regain the title by pinfall when Tomko nailed Edge in the head with the title belt on accident. Edge & Tomko got into a fist fight, afterwards as Benoit celebrated his victory. Royal Rumble match-30 men, 1 ring, 1 goal. Winner:Chris Jericho
