Rico definitely needed to look more vicious there and Spike should have had MUCH less offense. Hard to look impressive when SPIKE is a tough opponent.
Oh, and do you think the "Boring" chants would have started up during Rico/Spike if it wasn't for that angle earlier on? I don't think so.
America has been confined to one real segment on Smackdown. Too bad those segments are fifteen minutes long. Couldn't at least five minutes of that have gone to Rey Mysterio vs. MATT HARDY?
I was one of them too so it's OK (Jericho fans, that is. Along with everyone else in my vicinity), I understand.
Still, that was the most fun part of Mania. And my friend and I laughed at the Michaels fans after Jericho gave him that vicious low-blow, so at least we got the last laugh.
Hey, I'm sorry, us Jericho fans tried as hard as we could to turn the tides, but the damn HBK fans outnumbered us.
So, two PPVs in a ROW Goldberg has been turned on by the crowd against the two biggest heels on Raw. Gosh, he sure was a success.
Eh. The one here is more believable, that's what makes it funny. Even the stupidest fan on the planet knows that the WWE didn't discover Goldberg. But "Kevin Nash is hardcore"? Or the first HIAC being the six-man? THAT is comedy.
Since I watched Velocidental at my dad's where I have little to no 'net access, some random notes...
1. How weird is it that Spanky vs. Collyer was the second-best match I saw this week? (Best was Jarrett vs. Raven vs. Styles on TNA)
2. The comedy part of the Smackdown retrospective was lame. No E&C promos or even Five-Second Poses, but they put in Booker T throwing up? Ridiculous.
3. Christian RULES.
I'm thinking either Jeff Hardy or Shane Douglas. I think it would be really cool if Douglas was brought in by Russo to take Raven out of the title picture.
