That match was a total abortion. Jamie Noble going over three people in a type of match that he is COMPLETELY FUCKING LOST in? Funaki lasting five seconds? Maritato getting COUNTED OUT? Kidman's WORST SSP EVER? Yang not even wrestling? And the crowd wasn't even into it! They completely died right when Ultimo was eliminated. I honestly find that to be the worst match of the show just because it should have been so much better.

It wasn't very good, especially the sketch that had the wrestlers in it. That one was just a spoof of the Jay Leno "Jaywalking" segments where he went out, saw the wrestlers and is like "Hey, they're wrestlers, they must be stupid" and then they beat him up. I didn't even bother to watch the Kevin Smith thing, even the people on the MADtv board I lurk around hated it.

That seems like a pretty nice experience all in all. Here's hoping the Brain has it in him to do some commentary tonight.

Chavo Sr. is the man. He's like Smackdown's Teddy Long; a guy you'd never think you'd see come back and manage, but he did and he's HILARIOUS in the role.

If AJ Styles wasn't mentioned as being one of the most recognizable faces in wrestling I'd shrug, agree, and move on. There's a difference between "Top Star in the Promotion" and "Most Recognizable Face in Wrestling", you know. As for the WWE castoff thing, I have no problem with TNA signing them, but some of them were really pointless and added nothing (*COUGHJamalCOUGH*). However, Raven's been the closest to a draw the company's had, I believe, D'Lo has been good in an uppercard role, Douglas cuts great promos and is good at getting heat, Truth is a decent worker and good on the mic, not to mention a TNA mainstay (needs to ditch 3LK, though, that shit is so bad now), Lynn helped carry the company in its first months, and Crash would have been a great comedy character for TNA if he, y'know, hadn't died. I question B.G. James being mentioned, though. He's more of a detriment to TNA these days than a benefit, especially when he stinks up commentary with his "New French Fries" jokes.

My god, JAPANESE POOL BOY got a mention on NATIONAL TELEVISION. And Justin Credible has to be pissed somewhere.

... Whoa. That was just great. Hilarious, continually interesting show. Sign me up for the rest of the season, this is awesome.

Moreover, even Spike Dudley is more recognizable than AJ Styles right now. I'll conceed that people know Sting, Raven, and to a lesser extent Jarrett (since Raven was in WWE a little over a year ago and Jarret hasn't been seen on national TV since WCW folded), but AJ Styles?

Work or not, backstage WWE over the past couple days has been incredibly entertaining.
