PWG ''The Musical'' Comes To Town On April 17!

What's this look like? It's a Piledriver out of Gorry Special/Widow's Peak ETC Position. It looks sick as hell. He's only hit it twice to my knowledge (both times on Quicksilver) Once in an APW tag match (AXP Vs. SD/Bosh) and once at RevPro's Pride of the Mask 3 Six Man. I keep waiting for him to do it again and so he far he hasn't.. maybe he'll do it at this show as he's against Quicksilver again.

PWG ''The Musical'' Comes To Town On April 17!

Since the show is this weekend I figured I'd waste some time by doing yet another installment of my PWG: Thoughts and Predictions!!! On to the card: Phoenix Star & Zokre vs. Charles Mercury & Top Gun Talwar Thoughts: This should be the standard fun PWG opener.. that's all I can really say about this one. Prediction: Mercury/Top Gun Disco Machine vs. Scorpio Sky Thoughts: Now I'm not sure I understand this booking as I think Scorpio should be in a higher profile match coming off his Main Event appearances at the last two shows. But still I'm sure this will be a very good match against his Teacher Disco Machine. Just as their last match was in RevPro (which BTW is available to Download at ClickWrestle.com: http://www.clickwrestle.com/modules.php?na...._Disco_Machine ) Prediction: Scorpio Sky Apollo Kahn vs. Ricky Reyes Thoughts: I've never been a huge fan of Apollo but I know Ricky Reyes is more than capable enough to make sure this is a solid bout. Hopefully Apollo will surprise me here and show what he can do. Prediction: Ricky Reyes X-Foundation (Funky Billy Kim, Scott Lost, & Joey Ryan) vs. The Thomaselli Brothers (Brandon, Sal, & Vito Thomaselli) Thoughts: I'd say this is my pick for the sleeper match of the show. As the Thomaselli's have really impressed me lately in PWG and I'm interested to see how they perform with Vito's brother Brandon thrown into the mix. Plus of course the X-Foundation are always top notch as a unit. Another reason I'm looking forward to this match is to see if they build apon the angle from the last show that had Lost superkick Ryan by mistake and cost them the tag titles. I have a feeling this match could be the end of the X-Foundation.... Prediction: Thomaselli Brothers after the X-Foundation break up B-Boy vs. "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels Thoughts: Despite appearing in alot of the same promotions over the years I don't think they have ever met One on One before (I could be mistaken though). If everything clicks I truly think this has all the makings of a classic. Prediction: Very tough one but I'll say Chris Daniels Hardkore Kidd vs. Messiah Thoughts: This is a rematch from the PCW June 2003 show and while that one wasn't too highly regarded... it certaintly wasn't bad either. I'm sure both have improved since that time and will produce a good match here and just maybe Messiah can silence a few of his critics. Prediction: Messiah PWG Tag Team Championship Match Chris Bosh & Quicksilver © vs. S.B.S. (Excalibur & Super Dragon) Thoughts: I have really high hopes for this match as SD and Excalibur have always delivered as a tag team. Every match where they have teamed has been mind blowing and I think Bosh/Quicksilver will be perfect opposition for them. I just feel bad for Quicksilver... that guy always takes a hell of a beating when he's in there against SD. Maybe we could see the very rare Psycho Driver #3 in his match as Quicksilver has been the only one to ever take the move thus far. Very Bold Prediction: Bosh/Quicksilver retain with help from an outside source. American Dragon vs. Samoa Joe Thoughts: What can be said about this? It's Samoa Joe Vs. American Freaking Dragon. I've really enjoyed all 3 of their past meetings (The brutally stiff time limit draw classic in EPIC most of all) and I'm sure this one will no different and possibly alot better as both men have improved greatly since their last One on one match up. This will also be the rubber match in the series as they split their ROH matches and their EPIC match ended in a draw. This could be a possible MOTYC and will probably be worth the price of admission by itself.... Prediction: American Dragon So there you go another outstanding PWG card. Also keep in mind the flyer for this show promised "a surprise or 2 PWG style" Right now the clear prediction as to the surprise would be Teddy Hart. Who will be in town anyway for the Inoki Dojo show the day before. But who knows what the surprises could be! The show could indeed actually be a musical! Jon Ian could sing the ring introductions! Elvis could return from the dead to challenge to Disco Machine to a dance off for all we know. Only way to find out is to attend the show! (or well by reading the results saturday night) Anyway, you know the drill, if in the area do yourself a favor and by all means attend this show if not in the area/state/country/galaxy buy one of the many excellent PWG DVDs at http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com/merch/ although currently only The Debut show and Super Dragon Vol. 3 seem to be available... umm still go there and buy those!!! Now look at this awesome Dragon Vs. Joe banner:

AWS in Cali features Super Dragon, Samoa Joe,

Great card top to bottom from probably the most underated promotion in SoCal. 4-Way should be awesome, As should the XPW dream match tag, Pitbulls Vs. Los Luchas and Rising Son Vs. Human Tornado and I'm sure Nosawa will carry Vampiro to an ok match. As for SD Vs. King Favi... it actually has a pretty interesting backstory. Which Favi goes over in this SoCal uncensored interview: http://www.socaluncensored.com/article432.html Def. check this one out if in the area...
  5. Didn't see this posted here... From NJPW.com "FRIDAY, APRIL 16th at 8PM at the Inoki Dojo 3200 Olympic Blvd. Santa Monica, CA 90404 Block A: American Dragon vs. Chad Collyer X-Pac vs. Bobby Quance Block B: Iceman vs. Rocky Romero Ricky Reyes vs. Teddy Hart Winners of Block A & B, advance to the Best Of The Super Junior 2004 in Japan Also: Special Match 1: Aaron Aguilera (aka Hardkore Kidd) vs. Samoa Joe Special Match 2: Tommy Williams (aka Funky Billy Kim) & Jose Moreno vs. Eric Matlock & Joey Ryan Tickets only $10 and available at the door" Looks like a hell of show for 10 bucks. Be cool to see finally see Teddy Hart live. The 16th and 17th should be an awesome couple days in SoCal.

PWG ''The Musical'' Comes To Town On April 17!

No, they just took a little break after a bad show in November. They recently returned on March 26th 2004 and also stripped Messiah of the PCW title (which was then won by Joey Ryan) And I hope you weren't counting on that Proctor deal, because he retired/left/was fired or whatever from PCW and then went crazy on the SoCalUncensored boards and started bashing wrestling fans in general. I have no idea what he is doing now....

PWG ''The Musical'' Comes To Town On April 17!

Messiah Vs. Daniels was from PCW in Nov 2002 and Messiah Vs. Kazarian - Ladder match was from PCW/AWS April 2003. Both are available on The AWS Messiah Shoot. Both were very good and well worth checking out. Messiah also had a very very good match with Super Dragon in PCW that sadly will probably never be released due to poor lighting (The "arena" (parking lot) was lit by car headlights!) He also had good matches with Kaos and Hardkore Kidd in PCW. Really Messiah's PCW work is very underated. IMO His 2003 PCW Title was far better then his 2003 CZW title run. And don't forget Messiah's excellent 2000 XPW match with D that was considered XPW's best match ever for a time. Thought it's probably not the best way to showcase his talents (I'd book him against Bobby Quance myself) I'm sure his PWG rematch with Hardkore Kidd will turn out just fine...

It was at the last show, they lost the belts to Bosh/Silver after Lost superkicked Joey Ryan by mistake.

    Best female vocalist...

My vote is for Anneke Van Giersbergen, The Gathering, I've been a huge Gathering mark since I heard "In Motion Part 1" on a compilation back in 1996. I personally love everything they have done from Mandylion to Sleepy Buildings. As for the other two, I like what Lacuna Coil I have heard, but quite frankly Evancesence just annoys the hell out of me.

That is the same as Steve Corino's Old School Explusion. A Twist of Fate Neckbreaker type move.
  16. Even if my predictions were way off... this was an incredible show. The attendance was way up. Sky Vs. SD was a great hardcore match, PUMA Vs. Reyes was amazing Heck it was all good. Also Cabana is freaking hilarious and Spanky is a freaking god, WWE really missed the boat with this guy. Show is well worth picking up when it's released on DVD... They announced that the next show will be on April 17 with Chris Daniels, American Dragon, Samoa Joe, Messiah, B-Boy and all the PWG regulars (sans the "suspended" Slymm, Pearce and Frankie) plus a "Surprise or 2" already announced.
  17. Yeah, more or less it's just a falls count anywhere No DQ match. If it's anything like the first one they did... that match will be f'n incredible.
  18. Little late with this but since the show THIS SATURDAY night, I figured I'd post my thoughts and predictions for this show. Doesn't that sound fun? Yeah I know it doesn't... but I'm doing it anyway! Disco Machine vs. Charles Mercury Thoughts: Teacher Vs. Student, this should be a fun opener and a good showcase of the much improved Charles Mercury and maybe add fuel to the already hot PWG-Scorpio Sky/Quicksilver/Bosh/Mercury/Talwar feud. Prediction: Mercury • Ricky Reyes vs. Puma Thoughts: This should be an excellent match as both have been working and training together for years now and should know each other in the ring very well. Havana Pitbulls have always been very underated as singles wrestlers. Hopefully Reyes can showcase his singles ability here and in the upcoming ECWA Super 8 tourney where I think they will steal the show. Prediction: Ricky Reyes • The Ballard Brothers vs. Samoa Joe & American Dragon Thoughts: I have mixed feelings on this one. On one hand I'm sure the match will be very good even though it looks to be a huge mismatch but then again so was Shannon Ballard Vs. Samoa Joe from Feb. 22 and that match turned out alot better than most thought it would. So don't discount the Ballards here. But on the other hand I can't help but think that AD and Joe's talent could be put to better use. Prediction: Joe and AD murder them • Babi Slymm vs. "Classic" Colt Cabana Thoughts: Really looking forward to this one, I think alot of people are overlooking just how good this match could be. Slymm has improved greatly and Cabana is just the guy to get an excellent match out of him. This is my pick for the sleeper match of the night. Prediction: Babi Slymm leading to a title shot • Frankie Kazarian vs. Spanky Thoughts: PWG beats NWA-TNA, ROH and every other Non Zero One related wrestling company in the world to the punch as will Spanky will make his return to (Non-Zero One related) Indy Wrestling at PWG after year or so stay in wrestling hell. He will be facing someone very familar to him, in the former PWG champion Frankie Kazarian. Now I've seen these two have had several very good matches in the past and I see this one being no different. Just hope this leads to more Spanky in PWG... Prediction: Tough one by I'll say Spanky PWG Tag Team Championship Match • X-Foundation (Scott Lost & Joey Ryan) © vs. Chris Bosh & Quicksilver! Thoughts: Those who follow PWG may be saying "Didn't we already see this in the Tag Tourney?" well yeah... but this time it has a little more meaning and isn't in a tournament setting. So expect it to be better than their last encounter at "Tango and Cash" Prediction: X-Foundation PWG Championship Match • "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce © (With Valentina) vs. Bobby Quance Thoughts: Odd match in terms of storylines as Bobby Quance hasn't really earned a title shot (having only won one match in PWG against Osaka Pro's Tiger's Mask) and Pearce still has unfinished business with Babi Slymm and Frankie Kazarian. But all that aside, this match will be outstanding. As Pearce is able to have good matches with wrestlers of any style and Quance is a great talent just waiting to break out nationwide (if he doesn't join the navy that is) Prediction: Pearce retains Guerrilla Warfare Match • Super Dragon vs. Scorpio Sky Thoughts: If there is one reason to attend this show it's this match. IMO it's worth the admission price by itself. No doubt this will be the match of the show and maybe a MOTYC. And yeah this match does have alot to live up to. It has to top the first Guerrilla Warfare match from Nov. 03 and it also has to top the first SD Vs. Scorpio Sky SoCal MOTYC from August 03 (which is available for download at ClickWrestle.com) and while that maybe a little tough, I'm sure they are up to the task. As Paul T said on the PWG website this will be Scorpio Sky's chance to really show what he can do and really breakout worldwide this year. Don't miss it... Prediction: Scorpio Sky pulls another upset against SD So there you go, Overall this could be one of PWG best cards ever. So if in the area, by all means attend this show!! Come on for only 15 bucks you can see the return of Spanky, SD Vs. Scorpio Sky -Guerrilla Warfare (which I can promise you will be an amazing match to see live just as the last one was) American Dragon, Samoa Joe, Quance, Adam Pearce, Colt Cabana and all the stars of PWG! Just go already.... And If by some slim chance you live in some freaky weirdo Non-SoCal place then by all means buy some PWG merch at http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com/merch/ Including the New Super Dragon Evolution Vol 3 four dvd set. No it doesn't have Teddy Hart on it but it's still pretty damn good.

Was there any doubt? That's great to hear.
  21. That's a hell of a card. Scorpio Sky Vs. SD should be insane. Plus I think in his non-Zero One related Indy return of Spanky Vs. Frankie Kazarian, Pearce Vs. Quance. This card should rule. I'll post some of my PWG thoughts and predictions as the show gets closer.

    Chris Bosh Has A Surprise

Hmm interesting stuff. Who would shock the wrestling world? ok well I guess RevPro hops on the Teddy Hart bandwagon as well. Which would be cool because I would love to see him live.
  23. New PWG Press release from SoCalUncensored.com: "By Silverback, PWG Staff Writer Citrus Heights, California - With tensions running high after "Taste The Radness," Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com) decided to lighten the mood by bringing in two of the most light hearted wrestlers on earth; American Dragon and Brad Bradley! But to off set the easy going nature of that match, PWG also decided to book two of the most intense rivals wrestling has ever seen, two men whose hatred burns with the heat of ten thousand suns; Ebessan and Kuishinbo Kamen! On March 7 at the Santa Ana Elks Lodge, wrestlers will collide, matches will take place, battles will be won, and limbs will be lost! • "Black Tigers" Jeremy Lopez vs. Puma - Recently returning from safari in Japan where he hunted the elusive Tigers Mask, Jeremy Lopez has come back to the United States in order to capture the majestic Puma! Lopez has spent months tracking his quarry, and finally has tracked Puma to the Los Angeles area, and like any great hunter, has even predicted where the mighty beast will be! Fans in the first three rows, consider yourselves forewarned! Not only will you be in the proximity of phenomenal professional wrestling, but you will also be near Jeremy Lopez and a loaded elephant rifle, trying to shoot down Puma, one of the fastest men in the sport today! Please bring adequate protection, such as a kevlar vest or a thick sweater. • Bobby Quance vs. Tigers Mask - When one of the most promising up and comers in professional wrestling comes to PWG and demands a match with another young wrestler from a completely different side of the world, Comissioner Paul T tells them to go fly a kite. However, Bobby Quance and Tigers Mask are both really nice young men, and would never make such a demand of PWG or Comissioner Paul T. Therefore, to instill a bit of a mean streak in one, or possibly both men, Paul T made this match with one stipulation: the loser must walk home! While Los Angeles resident Quance isn't too worried about this, Tigers Mask definetely feels like he has something to prove, and will be giving it all at "88 Miles Per Hour!" • Gurentai (MASADA & NOSAWA) vs. Havana Pitbulls (Ricky Reyes & Rocky Romero) - In the Democratic People's Republic of Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, all international competitors are required to register with all 6 bodies of the government, from the Department of State (Joey Ryan) to the Department of Agriculture (Scott Lost). With that said, it is no surprise that upon registration for "88 Miles Per Hour," the Havana Pitbulls found that they will not receive a title shot, but will face off in a DPRPWG/United Nations sanctioned match again Gurentai, the team of Japan's MASADA and Mexico's NOSAWA. Will the winners of this match receive a title shot down the line, or will evil Ministers of State and Agriculture plot and scheme their way out of another title defense? • American Dragon vs. Brad Bradley - Imagine this scene: A man riding in a limousine decides that he wants a better view of the city, so he opens the sunroof, sticks his head out, and takes in the sights and sounds of Los Angeles at 35 miles per hour. At that very moment, a clown on stilts is crossing the street, on his way to the circus, or possibly a festival, or perhaps even a street fair. Closing in on the clown, the limo driver depresses the brake pedal, only to find that he is unable to stop! The driver lays on the horn, and the clown, startled by the sudden noise, stops dead in his tracks, bends over and looks backward between his legs at the incoming threat. The limo passes under the clown's body, the car goes between the stilted legs, but the head of the clown and the head of the limo passenger collide, instantly decapitating both men! As crazy as that sounds, the match between American Dragon and the Midwest's own Brad Bradley will be even crazier! • Frankie Kazarian & Babi Slymm vs. "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce & Hardkore Kidd - Much like the proposed merger between Comcast & Disney, Frankie Kazarian and Babi Slymm decided to come together in the face of increased market pressure, the increased market pressure in this case being Hardkore Kidd and PWG Champion Adam Pearce! With the belt in his hands, and the new partnership with Hardkore Kidd, Adam Pearce is doing all he can to insure that his title reign will more successful than Frankie Kazarian's! Without a rematch clause in his contract, Frankie is forced to work his way back into title contention, but because Slymm was the last to be eliminated in the 4-way match for the title in January, Frankie is not instantly named number one contender. Also attributed to the convoluted nature of the PWG title picture is the position of the moon, Commissioner Paul T's mood, especially on days where he is forced to go on missions with the other Surf Ninjas, and the rulings of the Santa Ana Elks. Therefore, challenges were made, a tag match was signed, and gauntlets were thrown! • Ebessan vs. Kuishinbo Kamen - In every super heroic relationship, there is a leader and a sidekick. From Batman & Robin to Superman & Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen, that's just how it is. However, when it came time for Japanese crime fighters Kuishinbo Kamen and Ebessan to make a decision about the nature of their relationship, the men failed to reach acceptable terms, and their days as partners was over. For many years now, their battle has raged all over the great continent of Japan, from the icy wastes in the far, far north, to the arid, 10,000 square mile desert in the south, seemingly no place in Japan was safe from the destruction brought by these powerful forces! Now, not even the peaceful island nation of America can avoid the rampage! Entire cities have been leveled, fields left fallow and radioactive, water left polluted and undrinkable, all in the name of figuring out who is the Green Hornet, and who is Kato? Who is Super Dave Osborne, and who is Fuji?! Find out on March 7th! Guerrilla Games Elimination Match • Super Dragon, Disco Machine, Excalibur, Joey Ryan, & Scott Lost vs. Topgun Talwar, Scorpio Sky, Quicksilver, Chris Bosh, & Charles Mercury - The paint that is hatred which was sprayed and speckled all over the canvas that is PWG has barely had time to dry when another bucket of hateful paint will be thrown carelessly in the direction of the PWG canvas. No, fans, this is not a bit by painter/auteur Andy Warhol, this is, in fact, the biggest rivalry PWG has ever seen! Much like a great painting, there are many subtle elements to this Guerrilla Games Elimination Match, so subtle that only the trained eye can see them. To some, this may appear to be simply a fight between Ye Olde Timers and the youngsters, the vets against the rookies, painted easily with broad strokes. To others, the individual feuds and agendas make up the finer details, the finer details of the biggest metaphorical painting that fans have metaphorically seen! Whatever the case may be, this match will end with one team, and one team only as the clear winner, with the canvas painted in the loser's blood! (See, that's tricky, because I could mean the canvas of the ring, or the canvas of the painting I referred to earlier, there's only one way to find out what I really meant!) "88 Miles Per Hour" takes place Sunday, March 7, 2004 at the Santa Ana Elks Lodge, at 5:00PM. The Santa Ana Elks Lodge is located at 212 S. Elk Lane, Santa Ana, CA 92701. Tickets are $18 each, and will be available at the door. Tickets will be available online at http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com, or by mail (PWG Tickets, PO Box 1527, Temple City, CA 91780. Certified checks or money orders only, please.) For more information, please visit http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com or email [email protected]" Another amazing card, I'll post my thoughts and predictions sometime next week...
