I really hope the Angle DVD ends up being a set that has the 2001 Austin feud in it's entirety on it (promos, everything). That would be fantastic. I have new hope in their DVD's ever since the Flair set.

Currently, Orton is bland. A lot can change in 6 months to a years time though, I'd say wait and see how he develops further. Honestly, once the current top dogs have run their race, I don't see a lot of wrestlers coming up to pick up the slack. There are one or two standouts, but nothing special or even that interesting right now.

Well, it depends on whether or not the match is in Canada.

Yeah, but like I said, consider the circumstances around that. Angle said, I think it was around 6 months before WM that if he and Lesnar went toe-to-toe it would be the greatest ever. That was obviously long before Angle could have seen how the bookers and writers were gonna handle their feud. You also seem to forget one crucial thing, all those matches were against Brock Lesnar. In my opinion, Brock dragged those matches down big time. Angle may still be somewhat of a rookie, but Lesnar should not have been anywhere near any of those types of matches at his stage of development.

Angle never delivers good matches? That's news to me. I could have sworn he's had dozens of good/excellent matches. People point out WM with Lesnar and how Angle promised it was gonna be the best ever. Well, that feud wasn't exactly booked very well, and I hate to break it to you, but Lesnar isn't the workrate dream everyone seems to make him out to be. The fact is, Lesnar was still greener than grass when he had that big WM program and still has a long way to go. If anyone dragged those matches down, it was Lesnar.

There's a difference between being confident and being conceited. I'd rather Angle think every match he will have will be the greatest of all time, because then he is gonna work hard to deliver such a match. Would you rather he be apathetic towards every match? "Oh yeah, if Bret Hart and I wrestled, it would be okay at best, I don't really care either way." He's basically gotten to the point where he's damned if he does and damned if he don't. Damn him for wanting to have a high profile match! Damn him for wanting it to be good! Sure, I don't agree with him trying to get Hart back in the ring like he is, but you never know. Maybe he knows something we don't. Maybe if other wrestlers were as enthusiastic about having great matches, we wouldn't be seeing such a crappy product right now.

Lesnar should be more careful when he's dishing out chairshots too, especially to a guy who already had major neck surgery. I swear, that big ape is gonna bumble Angle into a coffin.

I picked it up today, along with Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town for my GBA, but I have yet to start either of them. I'll post some impressions when I've logged a couple hours into the game.

I really hope Ultimo starts his own rival stable to fight Tajiri and the "Yakuza". That would be fantastic, so they probably won't do it.

Well, picked up the game today. I'm addicted, which is a bad thing because I have other important stuff to do. I started doing my first season with Steve Austin, and I've started a small stable so far with just Rey Mysterio. I already hate Brock Lesnar in this game. Damn it, one F5, two tops and everyone and anyone is put down for good. Meanwhile, I'm giving out stunner's like they're halloween candy and Lesnar shakes them off. Sadly, as I should have guessed by the name of this game, the Yuke's developers must have a collective boner for Brock, because he is way too powerful. I'm already champ as Steve Austin by the way, and I just finished my first month in Season mode at my first major successful title defense against Kurt Angle in a ladder match. Good stuff. A small thing I noticed, which I thought was a really nice touch (maybe someone else has already mentioned this or it's old news) but when the Rock does the People's Elbow more than once in a match, he reaches for his bare elbow first, and realizes there is no elbow pad there. Then he goes to the other arm and throws that one into the crowd. I just thought that was a really nice touch.

The developers realized RVD has the weakest looking offense in existance, and tweaked the game accordingly. I must say I approve. I have the same problem with Taker. It sucks, man. You mean you can't beat Taker with RVD or you can't beat Taker in general?

I thought this line was hilarious. All most of my friends (marks aged 20-something) remember about Warrior was him shaking the ropes like the mad man he was. I thought that was his talent in the ring?

*MARKS OUT* Does he stalk his opponent around the ring while walking? Do his finishing moves (such as the chokeslame etc.) differ from the UnderBiker? Thanks DH. I *hate* people like me who are too impatient to wait ONE WEEK till they get to find all the answers out for themselves. I also say someone buy fucking IBM a PS2 & HCTP game for looking after this thread so well. UYI From the video's I've seen, he moves totally differently from Underbiker. When he chokeslams someone, he really raises them high into the air with one arm and just throws them down, like he has superhuman strength. I'm looking forward to Rowdy Roddy Piper myself.

So shows and matches take place in specific cities as well? Do they have any Canadian cities?

Well, I like the sound of the grapple system, because it does remind me of No Mercy's system a little bit. I also think the mashing for the submission moves sounds good as well, because it makes you work for it (will be lots of fun with friends playing). It sounds great, but I guess I'll just have to wait and see until tonight. Has anyone tried things with weapons or tables/ladders? How do they work? How do you get weapons in the game? Keep in mind, I haven't bought a wrestling game since No Mercy (and Ultimate Muscle, but that's a different story) so I'm most familiar with a similar set-up.

I don't know, I'm excited about the game (getting it tonight) but I'm worried Downhome is just hyping it so much it'll never live up to it for me. I pray that I am wrong and this game is as fantastic as Downhome says. The other side of the coin has Coffey saying the game degenerates into nothing but button mashing and is boring and difficult. I don't know who to go with here, they're both extremes.

Keep your eyes peeled for KaneRVD420 as his next name. As for the stable, I think it was really smart of Tajiri to refuse it being called the Yakuza, that could get those guys killed in Japan. I have a bad feeling WWE will either go through with that name anyways or something terribly racist, like "The Chop Suey Boys" or "Rice Squad 4000".

Well, it's over. What are everyone's thoughts? I think everyone feel's this way, but I'm REALLY disappointed that nothing has happened with the DVD set yet. Let's hope they can get something together in time for his book(s) release date. As well, it was sad to hear he isn't currently planning to give a speech at Wrestlemania XX because of his emotional state... but things can change in the next few months.
