I wish they'd do Benoit vs. Snow.

Tazz and Cole took a call from "Bubba" on night two of their Sirius trial and no, it was not Bubba The Love Sponge but ... Bubba Ray Dudley. Bubba said anybody could be a ten time World champion if they married the boss' daughter. He said his last name was "Dudley" and did not care if WWE legal heard him. Tazz commented that they were listening for sure to the show. They talked for about ten minutes and kidded about Cole being on the "gas." Bubba asked if WWE started testing yet. Bubba said there is something really good on TV on Saturday Nights on Spike and to check it out. Tazz then invited Bubba to call back "anytime" and to call again for their Sunday pre-Super Bowl Show. Bubba said he has both XM and Sirius, but put over Sirius as the better of the two satellite radio providers. He congratulated Tazz and Cole on the show and hoped they get the gig full-time. Tazz and Cole keep alluding to being on TV (Smackdown) at the same time they were on Sirius.

I had to see this show to believe what I read on the spoilers. I've been looking for a good reason to stop watching WWE for good, and I think this horrible exploitation of Eddie Guerrero is good enough for me. Adios, WWE.
-
If I want to read what people thought back then, I'll fucking search for it in the archives myself.
-
Yeah, but it was released right before WWF had to switch to WWE, so it was kind of fucked and couldn't sell it as long. I don't think so. Watch the DVD. None of the logos are blurred and all mentions of "WWF" are still in there, so they only had 6 months to be able to distribute it.

I always thought it was ridiculous that they released a John Cena DVD way back in 2003.
-
So, where is it?
-
Meh, it's their first show. 99% of the time, no one can nail it on the first try.

The theme for this month is "Midget Mania" On the plus side, they've officially reached the nWo era on Nitro, with Scott Hall's first apperance. Still pretty surreal watching it today. I was at that Nitro. Imagine how surreal it was to me!

Michael Cole and Tazz start tonight in a Thursday through Sunday 8-11 p.m. time slot on Howard Stern Ch. 101 on Sirius Satellite Radio. That means they compete with themselves on Friday nights, and Sirius is carrying our show, their show and Chris Jericho's show all head-to-head on Sunday. Cole & Tazz will be playing radio personalities doing comedy and sarcasm, and will talk about wrestling, but it's not meant to be a wrestling show. credit: Dave Meltzer/WrestlingObserver.com This is probably the format that Cole & Tazz and WWE couldn't agree on for the WWE.Com "Talkin' Smack" show.

Let's attempt to bring back Scott Hall too!

Will/Should Rey Mysterio Make It To WrestleMania 22?
Enigma replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
I'm with the other people. If Mysterio doesn't make it to Mania, I'm not ordering it and will probably watch WWE a lot less and TNA a lot more. -
Good 'ol Paul, always putting the family business before himself. Who needed 4+ ratings anyways as long as HHH is the top heel, right?

Will/Should Rey Mysterio Make It To WrestleMania 22?

I honestly don't see how they can do another ECW PPV considering how many people that were on that show that they can't use now.
-
Yeah, acting like Eddie is suddenly God now and controls everything. And it looks even more stupid since Chavo was eliminated in like 50 seconds.
-
I love how Palmer Canon and the midgets suddenly came back after disappearing for no reason. WWE really needs to chill out on the Eddie references. Having Orton go out there and say, "Eddie's in hell" and "You have as much of a chance of beating me as Eddie does of coming back to life" is really offensive and tasteless. I wouldn't be surprised if Vickie Guerrero goes to Vince McMahon and asks him to cool it. I would. I understand Orton is just doing what he's told, but he really needs to put his foot down on some of this stuff. And Rey should be totally ashamed of himself for taking part in this crap. I can live with Rey mentioning Eddie often because they were best friends, but when you have wrestlers suddenly insulting Eddie when they were crying their eyes out over him 2 months ago, it looks incredibly stupid. I have no idea what the fuck WWE is thinking going forward with Angle vs. Orton. Orton is a heatless wonder now. No one gives a fuck about him anymore, especially since UT obliterated him and Benoit kicked the shit out of him the past two months. The crowd is red hot for Rey, always has been. Even more now that he's getting the Eddie sympathy heat going. Orton vs. Angle may be the lamest WM main event since UT vs. Sid. If Rey ends up losing his title shot, WWE can forget me ordering WM22 and me ever ordering another Royal Rumble. HHH vs. Cena and Orton vs. Angle = me keeping my $50. And how stupid is Rey for even putting his title shot up anyways?
-
I know there's another Rey thread about if he could be a credible world champion, but this one is focusing exclusively on whether or not he will actually make it to the main event of WrestleMania 22. Dave Meltzer said this in his Sunday, pre-Rumble update: Of course, the winner of the Royal Rumble turned out to be Rey Mysterio, who entered at #2 and broke the record for longest time in the Rumble. Ever since this update, speculation has been rampant everywhere about whether or not Mysterio will actually find himself going for the World Heavyweight Title in the main event of WrestleMania 22 against either Kurt Angle or The Undertaker. Meltzer does have a history of being wrong about the WM main event, such as when he said the main event of WM20 would be a ladder match up until about 2 weeks before the show. One probable scenario is that Randy Orton will start to taunt Rey to the point where Rey gets so fed up that he will put his title shot on the line against Orton at No Way Out or Saturday Night's Main Event in Detroit on 3/18, where Orton will defeat Rey for the title shot and go on to face Angle at WrestleMania 22. Meltzer said last night on The LAW that the plan for the Smackdown title match is still Angle vs. Orton. So, will Rey Mysterio make it through all of this to main event WrestleMania 22? And should he even be there to begin with? EDIT: Right after I posted this, I read the Smackdown spoilers and something very significant happens about this subject.
-
Hopefully Meltzer is wrong about Orton vs. Angle at WM22 like he was about WM20 being a ladder match. Nobody gives a fuck about Randy Orton.
-
"Edge was said to be very upset backstage at the Royal Rumble when he found out he would be dropping the WWE Title back to John Cena. Upset in the sense of being distraught, not angry. Edge was said to be in such bad shape over it that Vince McMahon pulled Edge into his office privately to assure him that they weren't going to give up on him. Edge was upset that his lifelong dream lasted only 3 weeks."
-
They'll probably give John Tenta/Earthquake a sympathy induction before cancer kills him in a few months.
-
Yes, Meltzer said in his Sunday update that the winner of the Rumble won't be getting the WM main event, so it gives Rey Mysterio a bigger shot at winning.

So TNA Could Have Gotten Jericho But Went With Sting
Enigma replied to BoboBrazil's topic in TNA Wrestling
Yeah, because Jarrett mentioned Jericho in a promo during his "Flavor of the Month" rant. And to the poster, if TNA could have gotten Jericho with that money instead of Sting, they would have gotten Jericho. Jericho made that "I'd go if I got Sting money" comment in passing when he was told of Sting's TNA salary, and I doubt he was even serious about it. Jericho and WWE are still tight.
