  1. How do you get hurt walking to the ring?
  2. Chuck Palumbo was released months ago.
  3. I seem to remember Bonaduce doing a dark match for a WCW PPV in 1994, but I think I remember it being a joke match. I also seem to remember another celebrity being involved.
  4. Nash looks a lot younger with that short haircut. I don't understand why he grew it all back out if he's not going to color it.
  5. Combine Debra in the ring stripping down to nothing but a g-string only be covered up by the Blue Blazer and the bullshit finish of Rock/Mankind, and you had a bad night as a fan.
  6. Not one match is through and Gorilla Monsoon already makes a blunder. George Steele, who was the only one outside the ring when he was introduced, stays outside the ring for the entire battle royal. All during the thing, Monsoon is ranting about how Steele got thrown out and was refusing to leave ringside. Ventura is trying his damndest to make him understand he was never in the ring, but Monsoon keeps firing back with, "BUT HE WAS IN THE RING DURING INTRODUCTIONS, JESS!" Ventura eventually gives up and goes back to sparring with Bob Uecker. Did not even Vince have the balls to tell Gorilla on the headset that he was fucking up and correct him?
  7. A lot of the stuff you blame Kreski for he either wasn't involved in or had no control over. The degrading T&A women's matches were started by Vince Russo, but they proved to be rating grabbers. So McMahon wanted them to continue. Moolah & Mae started showing up while Russo was still in charge. They have always been favorites of McMahon, so when they showed up and helped people get over (Dudleys), they were constantly invited back. Likewise, Mae & Mark Henry was all Russo. Test disappeared from the main event scene because he suffered a really bad broken nose and then tried to come back from it too early and re-broke it. It took a while for it to heal. When he came back, things had passed him by. Tazz disappearing was because he suffered some sort of arm injury that required him to be out for a while. The fact of the matter is that Tazz was never going to get pushed seriously because McMahon has a wedgie about people with his height. Right to Censor was 100% McMahon. He came up with that on his own as a way to villainize the Parents Television Council, who were doing everything they can to get sponsors to stop advertising on WWF. Naked Mideon didn't start becoming an actual wrestler until Stephanie took over.
  8. It was linked earlier, but I felt this needed a specific mention. It's from Kennedy's interview with The Sun. It's mad because no one's ever openly criticized the Wellness Policy publically like he just did. I wonder if there will be reprocussions for that.
  9. I can't wait to watch the marathon that is getting Test's leg unwrapped from the ropes again.
  10. In fact, if it weren't for Vince's funding, ECW would have died a lot sooner than it did. I remember two months in early 1998 when they couldn't pay anyone.
  11. Wasn't the bleach throwing the Mongo's last WCW appearance ever?
  12. Nice sign: "Chyna is my Dad!"
  13. Don't forget, when Bret started wearing those type of sunglasses, they were silver and not pink.
  14. Triple H vs. Taka That wasn't a feud. It was a match that people go ballistic over because they thought HHH was just going to squash him and did a good job making you think Taka actually had a chance to win the WWF Title, especially with the APA patrolling ringside. But it's where it is in people's minds because that's where it stopped. If they had extended that match into a feud and built King of the Ring '00 around Triple H vs. Taka Michinoku, people's reactions would have been a lot different. It's easy to get someone to suspend disbelief in the middle of a match that's already happening, but could you really convince people for 2-3 weeks that Taka Michinoku has a good chance to beat Triple H for the WWF Title and expect them to pay money to see it on a PPV? No.
  15. It's important because John Cena, the cornerstone of WWE, is saying that any athlete who takes steroids should be put in jail. It has to make you wonder what Vince thought of that, not to mention the wrestlers currently in WWE who have a steroid suspension on their record. And holy shit, that Top Rope Theater was hilarious. I never watched any of those episodes until now. Michael Cole showed more charisma in that one segment than he has in 12 years with the WWF/E. OH MY!
  16. It didn't help that Bon Jovi was wearing the exact same thing during his concert run in Fall 2007. Same hairstyle and everything.
  17. John Cena was interviewed by the New York Daily News about his opinions of New York Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez steroid admission: http://www.nydailynews.com/gossip/2009/03/...uez_in_jai.html
  18. The memories of theone posting about 15 threads a day when he joined are still fresh in all our minds so everyone's still on eggshells. But yeah, it's never a good idea to make a lot of threads.
  19. By the time August 2001 rolled around, it was already dead. I specifically remember a Raw in Long Island, NY. The show was fucking terrible and the crowd was D-E-A-D. Long Island is usually hot no matter what, and they were pindrop quiet the whole show for everything. It was so bad, they had Paul Heyman start talking shit about the crowd between commercial breaks about how quiet they were.
  20. http://www2.tbo.com/content/2009/mar/24/24...scribing-drugs/
  21. Kreski left in the middle of September 2000. WWF was still on USA when he left. He was gone before they even started Foley's investigation about who ran Austin over. I think Unforgiven was Kreski's last show. After that, Stephanie took over. She was at the helm when Rikishi was revealed as the driver and the one who let the love triangle die with no resolution. HHH probably persuaded her to kill it because he admittedly doesn't like being a babyface.
  22. Missy Hyatt is not someone who should be criticizing someone's physical appearance by way of plastic surgery. She totally wrecked herself with too many surgeries.
  23. This is exactly correct. This is the same Stephanie McMahon who, while very pregnant, poisoned Shawn Michaels' water. Thinking about that made me laugh about the "H-B-K" chants.
  24. Austin is hardly a cripple.
  25. Bad memory there. The first time I accidentally did it, I apologized. But this place is all serious business about wrestling news, so whenever I'd apologize, people would still make stupid remarks. So I quit being reasonable and started being a motherfucker about it just like everyone else. Good try though. And lol Willy Aybar lol re-posted a video in WWE's General Discussion that I posted a few pages back. I bit my tongue, but Venkman of all people made a snide remark about it. Where's all the torches and hatred for Venkman now? Hmmm?
