  1. Yet another instance where the Clinton campaign has to back track on something Hillary said.
  2. Pretty decent Flair video there.
  3. I was planning on ordering it, but found out the friend I was going to split it with can't make it. I don't know if I can swallow spending 50 some bucks on a PPV, regardless of the card.
  4. It's weird how they brought in Tenryu for several PPV matches, but didn't really make a big deal about him, and didn't explain who he was. I mean, he was one of the biggest stars in Japan at the time, if I'm not mistaken. They didn't really do anything to play him up, other than a quick blurb maybe in the PPV promo reports.
  5. KotR '95 was kind of in WWF's "We have no fucking clue what we're doing" period of roughly late '94 through mid '96. Diesel being champion didn't help much, as I don't think anyone but the biggest marks were really into him as champion. So many bad gimmicks during that time. Plus, the company was losing money and dealing with legal issues...just a really embarassing time for the company all around.
  6. Joey, I do think people tend to over romanticize the old NWA stuff a bit too much (I mean, there's many reasons why Crockett didn't take over the US wrestling scene and Vince McMahon did), but you have to remember that for its time, this TV show was pretty cutting edge.
  7. As far as the WBF, I remember at least one of the top "stars" in that thing was supposed to transition to wrestling, but it never happened.
  8. You can't really rank OTE '99...Owen Hart's death should just disqualify it from discussion. KotR '95 still probably ranks as my least favorite WWF PPV ever. I mean, King Mabel. That enough should make it the consistent winner of worst ever.
  9. Right, which is primarily Bush's fault. I don't know why this isn't talked about more in the news. China could basically wreck our whole economy if they chose too. They won't right now, because they need America's trade right now because they are growing so rapidly, or at least that's my understanding. Still, I don't get why the Democrats can't call Bush out on stuff like this more. Anyway, if the world just stands by and lets the riots in Tibet get crushed again, I don't want to hear any bitching at the US. The rest of the world could stand up and do something if they wanted, but they won't.

    Hybrid Vigor

The Humanzee: OK, it's not really part human, but this is Oliver, a very strange chimpanzee who walks upright.
  11. Yeah, but how many US troops wounded? Anyone know?
  12. Well, you have to love how completely silent Bush has been on this whole thing. I guess he doesn't want to piss off his Chinese masters.
  13. Hey, a white belt to match the color of your skin. How fashionable.
  14. Don't get Carlito Brigante riled up guys...he's very athletic, you know.
  15. Was anyone ever able to determine if Psicosis was actually supposed to win the title in that match? The way it happened, it almost looked like an accident. It was also kind of weird since Psicosis was never really booked as a top contender to the CW Title at that point.
  16. I was going to mention that one. I think Malenko and Misterio had a couple really good TV matches, IIRC. They would have to put at least one token lucha six or eight man tag, just to show how many luchadores WCW was featuring at the time. I would also include Lex Luger's World Title win over Hulk Hogan, just because it was such a huge moment, and somewhat unexpected. Of course, it ended up not really mattering six days later, but it was still a pretty big deal. The Regal/Finlay parking lot brawl would have to be on there, too.
  17. The thing was, I think a Vampiro/Sting feud could have been decent, if they had just ditched all the hokey stuff Vampiro was doing and just made it a situation where Vampiro was trying to take Sting's spot as a main eventer.
  18. She must not have much of a job or life if she has this much spare time on her hands.
  19. Surprised there were no comments about the Naturals being used in a squash match.
  20. As much as I like RVD, I have to say that I never got the big deal about the RVD/Lynn matches. Maybe it's because I've never cared about Jerry Lynn at all.
  21. Heck, I have to point out that even in the relatively rural area that I live in, they used to have train service between cities. People decided they liked driving a car better.
  22. Huckabee's comments are very fair and spot on.
  23. Oh geez...the Misfits In Action...yeah, that was just a mess. I mean, I think even the biggest WWF marks who thought Val Venis and the Godfather were great at the time probably thought a guy named "Hugh G. Rection" was pretty lame. I really don't get who that was supposed to appeal to. I agree though, Storm was used pretty well by WCW. He kind of got lost in the shuffle in WWF.
  24. I never got why people were so into the Impact Players...mainly because I totally hated Justin Credible.
  25. Another thing to thank George W. Bush for (and yes, I know other presidents before him, to a point). How does he expect to ever spread democracy to that part of the world, when they've already basically bought our own?
