  1. Well, judging by how many people come into this country each year, most people do love our country.
  2. I didn't think this week's RAW was that bad...it wasn't great by any means, but the tag match in the middle was good, Cody/Murdoch was decent, and there was plenty of Santino's antics. The opening skit with DX, while stupid, was funny in its own way. Still, you have to wonder what they will do next week without any Austin or DX stuff to hype.
  3. I think it was just Sting pretending to be with the nWo, without officially joining. I do remember that portion though. I thought it was silly how later on Sting became part of the Wolfpac nWo, and the announcers made it out like he was a big traitor, when it was obvious the Wolfpac were babyfaces fighting the black & white nWo.
  4. They met while Leyfield was doing a TV show on FOX, IIRC. As far as Brooke getting released, I couldn't remember her name half the time. She was just another pointless bimbo on WWE TV with absolutely no personality. Good riddance.
  5. What is this "political maneuvering" people are talking about?
  6. Rock isn't coming back to wrestling, ever, at this point, so I really hope TNA isn't holding their breaths for that at this point. Really...TNA has everyone they should need. On paper, they actually have a pretty decent roster. I mean, five years ago if someone told you Angle, Sting, Booker T, the Outsiders, Christian, the Dudleys, the Steiner Brothers, Raven, etc. would all be in TNA, you'd think that would be a pretty good promotion, right? I didn't even touch on the X Division. Granted, some of those guys I listed are pretty old, but their roster doesn't exactly read like a bunch of bush league scrubs no one has heard of. They just aren't doing the right things with pretty much any of them.
  7. Ewwwwww...
  8. I don't know...with what they did to him this past Monday on RAW, it might be for the best. "Here, let's take this guy who is the son of a wrestling legend most of our fans are familiar with, who has a great build and decent wrestling skills, and make him as generic as possible. That'll surely get him over."
  9. Pretty revealing how someone like that can slip by so many barriers, because of the government wanting something to happen.
  10. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...GGL:en%26sa%3DN Match from 1976 Mid-Atlantic, apparently.
  11. I also thought it was funny how they announce the people associated with the film in the trailer, as if any of them have done crap in their lives. "Rocki James Hollywood"...LOL
  12. I just think that since WWF was getting somewhat short of top babyfaces at the time, they were trying to build Tatanka up for the future, and the "undefeated streak" was any easy way to do it.
  13. I guess I remember how Jericho was booked the last couple years in WWE, and am not eager to relive it again. Like I've said repeatedly, if he comes back, is booked solidly in the main event scene, and does some new things, great. If he's just coming back to plug his book and then job to Cena and Triple H, I have no interest at all. Been there, done that.
  14. I think if they stretch it out any longer than a couple more weeks, and people are going to stop caring about the promos or the eventual payoff. I also think people are putting too much faith in Jericho making RAW exciting again, as well.
  15. He definitely likes putting up unflattering pics of her, for sure.
  16. I was thinking "The Murderers of Love" would be a good band name.
  17. What was with the UFO question for Kucinich? I guess they're treating him as the new Moonbeam or something.
  18. OK, yeah, that one had me big time. I couldn't believe it when he pulled off the make up and it was Bischoff.
  19. Da Bears Wrestling Flatlander Wrestling International Toll Booth Wrestling Association
  20. OK, I forgot it was Tatanka that was injured. I remember being mad when Borga beat Tatanka, because he blatantly cheated and the ref didn't catch him. I remember he pinned him with one finger, too.
  21. It would be nice if they go old school, even a little bit, and have some blood in the monster battle royal tonight.
  22. WWE never promised shit about Jericho coming back, or the "save us" thing being revealed last night. People have to get a grip on reality around here. Yes, they're dragging it out, but it's not like this has reached "Blood Runs Cold" levels of length and absurdity.
  23. Maybe so, but the Undertaker was in a couple Survivor Series matches when he was still undead or whatever. Though one of them was an injury replacement (against the Foreign Fanatics). That was a heck of a surprise, for those that remember it. Yeah, that was pretty shocking. I remember thinking how cool it was when he revealed the American flag under his coat when Luger and company brought him out. I'm trying to remember...did one of the Steiners (Rick?) actually get injured, or was it just done to make the PPV lineup more appealing?
  24. I think the past year has shown that TNA isn't going to be successful based on any one or two big names coming in. Heck, I would almost say that the Rock himself coming in wouldn't even make much of a difference in TNA. Really, they just need to figure out how to put together the whole "package" of a wrestling promotion, and stick to it.
