Its part and parcel of what got him over in the first place.

That one line in the trailer fascinated me more than the CGI. I was listening to Stern this morning and he was talking about that, how he thought X2 was great, while they missed the boat with Daredevil (thats what happens when you hire actors with big names and subpar acting ability), and how the Hulk seems to be running 50/50 between being a success or a flop.. His opinions were pretty much spot-on....though I agree that there are too many superhero movies coming out. Being in my mid-30s, I remember the Ferrigno/Bixby days. Considering that they had to dumb down the show to make it palatable to the mainstream, the TV series, for what it was, was pretty good. Even though CGI has made leaps and bounds over the last several years, there are still limits to what can be done with it. Like Tom said, if they came make Elijah Wood and John Rhys-Davies look like a hobbit and a dwarf and do it convincingly, I'm sure that the studio did what it could to make it believable. I'm definitely going to see it.

labels are just that, it makes it easier for other people to define you by their own morals and standards. I am exclusively attracted to female humans. That makes me by society's standards heterosexual. I don't sweat other people's preferences, even though I do not practice them myself. That makes me open-minded. Even though pansexuality is by definiton a freeing of labels, it is still a label in itself... it is human nature to put names to things, simple or complex. It will be this way or a very long time.

While like most of jaded souls here, I don;t hold out much hope for her to be used properly but she has a lot of promise, and yes she's gorgeous, I will say that I wish I was taking bumps from her.... lucky guys. And she has a WAYS to go before she can be mentioned in the same breath as the Jumping Bomb Angels... one of the best tag teams I have seen, male or female... even wrestling the watered down WWF style back in the day they STILL made it look good. aside from Japan, there is not other place where she could really be used well, IMO

If I am not mistaken, TR1's wrestlers were all based off several wrestlers off of the NJPW roster, with a couple of add-ons. Hell, when I used to play TR2 regularly, I always played Wild Pegasus/Chris Benoit, because everything in his moveset was there, from the rolling germans to the snap suplex to the swandive headbutt.... the dragon suplex was his finisher back then in his pre-Crossface days.... but by playing TR2 and then JBI, I could see that things had not advanced very far... hopefully there will be less generic-looking moves in HCTP, though I doubt it.... Speaking of speed, there was a major adjustment I had to make going from JBI, to SYM.... JBI was a faster game, while with SYM, you could think ahead a little more because things happened slower.

I think that in itself is the reson NHB should stay up.

George Steele's flying Hammerlock looked way painful... I thought I could hear guy's shoulder's popping out of joint at times..... though Bret's ringpost figure-four gets a nod too... Ref: Break the hold!! Break the hold!!! Bret: Why? if we are going out of the WWE, Ki's versions of the Dragon Sleeper look way painful... and yes, the Cattle Mutilation is downright NASTY to look at....

and not because of Booker, either.... Personally I think that most wrestler's intensity level drops a notch when they get in an angle with HHH, because they know in the end, they're not going over.

Ye gods, this is entertaining..... Game, set, and match, Bryan. No pun intended.

PMPW was a direct import of Toukon Retsuden 1. I have TR2, with no way to play it now, since I don;t have a modded PS1 or PS2.. I used to have a cartridge that would plug into the back of an old PS1 and allow you to play burned or imported games, but I lost it...

It's sort of a chat network, but you can also download and share files on it. You need to download an IRC client and then you have to know on which IRC server you can get the good stuff. It's probably a little too complex for the average net surfer, but if you wanna try it: http://www.mirc.com/get.html The server to get wrestling stuff: irc.wrestling4free.com Port: 6667 channel: #w4f I've been doing IRC for six years, and its not that hard..

Yeah, what he said.

I think that you are enforcing the rules, Dames. The only time I had any semblance of a problem was when you had moment of self-doubt when you banned whatshisface for the 9/11 comments. You are the final arbiter of what is passable behavior here since you are the one who pays money out of YOUR pocket to keep this place up, so people can bitch about life in general (me), wrestling (80% of the posters here), or whatever. I will say that there are those here who will say inflammatory things just to piss people off, and while I find it immature, I am just another person that posts here, and its up to you and mods to take out the trash, if you will. You set the rules, Dames, you and the mods enforce them, and if people can follow them, bye-bye. Its that simple. Yoiu draw the line, those stupid enough to cross it willfully get tossed.

Hence why he got banned, though our beloved Dames had a touch of personal crisis over it. Tom and Bryan helped him through that, and now hes "unfuckwithable". thank God for quick edits

That's true.. Now I'm going to have to look into Cakewalk... not to mention the price for GuitarPort was a little prohibitive for my budget right now... let me know about the CD, I would love to hear it.

Dames, I am finding out we are similar in approach to such things. You do a great job, and while its big of you to feel that you have to apologize to Mole, don't beat yourself up too much. I mean, its bad enough you look like you could be my younger brother and all but damn... Marney, you've made your point. Let the kid be.

I hope that the book he writes at the end of his career (which is not soon, I hope) is as good as these weekly snippets.. Poor Kurt..... naked, bleeding and confused....

*marks out instantly* That's perfect!! Thank you! I just got done posting a long ass topic and i was all down and depressed, until I saw that..... Again, thank you.

That's something that cold, hard life experience will teach you, and something I still struggle with, because when I give my word I will keep it, no matter what. (See a coming post in LS&D about this topic along with the backstory that will justify it being there) And Ripper my man, trust me, the apartment situation was a good place to be at one point, but it changed radically once I started living there, and now I'm seriously debating taking on a second job to get my ass out of there.

And lets face it, when we're all not talking wrestling (the main reason this board exists) we're putting out little tiny pieces of ourselves... its like SSD told me awhile back, "I can say whatever about myself on here because no one knows me", and she's right. Whether or not you think the kid is looking for attention, the old adage holds true here: If you don;t have anything nice to say, don;t say anything at all. Marney, I understood what you were trying to say to him, but it was just a little harsh, even though you;re right also: when you post things on here of a personal nature, there are going to be some pricks who will piss on you for it, just for their own amusement and self-aggrandizement. Its pathetic, but there it is.

aside from some exclusive titles and a jump on Sony as far as an established online gaming experience goes, there is no major difference between XBox and PS2 in my eyes. Apples and Oranges. and seeing how PS2 has more games and backwards compatibility with the PS1 games, Sony wins. Love or hate the XBox, Sony is getting more and more of a strangehold on the console market. And when the PS3 hits, I can;t fathom anything that will be close... GC is already drying up, Sega has folded completely, the only competition left is the XBox, and they have to do things perfectly over the next couple of years to be able to keep up, especially now that Sony is having finanical troubles, but I simply refuse to trust Microsoft to that degree.

I've been extremely lucky in that I never got taken to the hospital for anything more serious than a lacerated eyebrow when I was 15, as some kid decided to suckerpunch me and break my glasses, the metal cutting a nice little gash in my head... but I have always gone with someone else... my first fiancee for ovarian cysts, my second fiancee for her mother and then for her... my ex-gf for seizures that will not go away no matter what..... and of course my grandmother dying of lung cancer in 1981, and my grandfather dying of a heart attack in 1993... nothing like seeing the people you care about just go away right before your eyes, I'll tell you.....

No problem, I saw you say that you were stressing big time, which is why you let go of the reviewing reins for a while. Just good to have you back.
