Honestly, what do all the blind WWE marks see in..
Rendclaw replied to JN News's topic in The WWE Folder
agreed, Sakura, she was much prettier before the enhancement, Although her putting on a little weight doesn;t disagree with her too much, either... -
::sighs as the gamer kid deep inside his soul melts and stuff::

Okay after a particular thread, I decided that I need a new banner... its fairly simple, if a little difficult to fit.. Basically facial shots of Nigella Lawson, Alisha Klass, Daisy Fuentes and Jolene Blalock, with a caption under them saying "Variety *is* the spice of life!" I ask you two because the both of you make great banners, and to be honest I suck at them.

Hoffman for Ran Man. No other actor can hold his jock to that performance.
 -
I do remember a match where a roll of quarters were used and they exploded, showering the ring with coins...

dammit Andrew, where the hell do you get these yummy pics of Gail??

Okay ever since my mini-rant concerning SD5, a though had been rattling around in my head about remaking MatMania/Mania Challenge, two of the best wrestling arcade games ever... how about helping me with this idea, in what a remake in the modern day would be like.... Now mind, the basic look of the game cannot and should not change, but what else could be added and modified to make it more up to date? Here is the lineup of wrestlers: Dynamite Joe Tommy Hurricane Insane Warrior Karate Fighter Coco Savage (bastard!!) The Piranha Golden Hulk Now the best thing about mania chanllenge was that you could counter an opponent when he went for something on you, with an atomic drop or a CRUSHING back suplex... that the moveset was ever so slightly expanded to include the dropkick, which aside from the suplex/brainbuster and the piledriver, became the most important move in the game. Any thoughts/ideas? (and yes I know, this is out of left field, but hey, this is what happens when I sit in a computer room for eight hours a night)

Hence you took the name of the queen of all fighting schoolgirls.... at least until until Alpha 3 came out
 -
I like that one much better that the Sailor Moon one, to be sure.

::chuckles:: I knew from Sakura, the name of the Ryu hero-worshipper from SF Alpha 2, which also means "cherry", not to mention the nice avatar pic... what game is that from? I want to say Parasite Eve 2, but I'm noit certain. ::tactfully doesn;t mention his mistaking her for Yuna::

Now THERE is a show that I would watch, just for the pained expressions of the performers whose songs he parodied while they sing his stuff.

Wasn;t that the "exploding roll of quarters" match?
 -
oh PLEASE, don;t make this like the freaking waffle thread.... I'm begging you....

After Drizzt and Cadderly, anything else Salvatore does is second-rate, though I do have to admit that I liked Gary Leger. Although I am still pissed at him because he killed off Chewbacca. That was the single reason why I stopped reading the Yuuzhan Vong invasion.

Malone wants a ring so badly he would offer up Stockton on an altar if it meant he would get one... I think he's going to go to the Lakers for the 1 million exception. Pippen looks like he's through in Portland, and I would not be surprised if he did the same thing.... Old as they are, I would not be very happy about being the opposing team if I was facing a lineup of Fisher, Kobe, Pippen, Malone and Shaq. Personally I cannot stand the way the Lakers are now because of Kobe's selfishness, Shaq's juvenile behavior and Phil Jackson's subtle arrogance. I personally hope that they will always be right there to get another ring, but never do.

Interesting.... Its interesting to see that he's kept up with what is going on in the E, and to hear his takes on it.

I only can vote for Sweet&SexyDiva for the above mentioned reasons, and that I think I can count the number of times I have seen a post from RugbyDiva on two hands since I have joined. Quality, not Quantity.... although it helps when you have both.

the best thing that Fred durst ever did was make it onto SmackDown: Just Bring It, so I can spend 20 minutes plus squashing his clown ass.

I for one am *not* particularly enthusiastic about that.

actually, most bands get better as musicians as time goes by (well, good musicians, anyways) so they shouldn't have a problem playing these songs they've played for 20 years now. I think a fact everyone is looking over is that although the covers were shit, Metallica themselves had to restart both times they performed... thats not a good sign. DEFINITELY not a good sign.... Also another point... Metallica also crapped the bed over the entire Napster thing, and while I thought S&M was a decent effort, it was going to take more than that to erase the resentment of Load and ReLoad. They have been suffering a lot of negative things, backlash over two really subpar albums, contract disputes with Elektra, conflict with their bass player of 10 years and his subsequent firing, the Napster debacle, James going into rehab and pushing back a desperately needed album release... when you look at all of these things, can you honestly wonder *why* they need such a huge ass push from MTV? I have all the respect in the world for Robert Trujillo, it just surprised me that they would take someone that accomplished. I would have thought that they would take a decently talented, no-name bassist and tell him what to play and how to play it.

I think at one point I had like 40-50.... but my thing was making a wrestling fed out of them.... The Stormshadows were always warring with the Snake-Eyes for the tag team titles, with Quick Kick doing run-ins.... Zartan's Group (I cannot remember the name of them) were the Road Warrior types.... Hawk and Duke were always a tag team, RoadBlock was the Hoss of the Day.... Destro always used his beryllium mask to win matches... Cobra Commander was always interfering in matches.... there was a good ladies division with Lady J, Scarlett, and the Baroness.... oh I could go on and on and on.......

As of right now, my favorite author is Terry Goodkind, though I have a slew of others that could and do take his place from time to time, such as Michael Stackpole every time I read the X-Wing series.

Wow, what a ride.... Sakura. violence is human nature. I don't see us as a species truly mastering those urges for thousands of years. Violence is defense of yourself or others is tolerated, sometimes necessary, but violence against those weaker than yourself for no other reason than self-aggrandizement, is not and should not be tolerated. I have to admit there were places in that rant that question marks were popping on over my head, but the man makes sense in quite a few others..... If it isn't already, this needs to be posted every time he spouts off, if only for the challenge of disseminating and translating it.

Not to mention doing a CAW for either one of them is not hard, Yuna. Yes, this game needs a major overhaul... I actually did a review on it when I applying for a job as a game tester back when I first moved up here. More Advanced Stats: what Tino posted is a good start, but I always said that the needed to go with a 1-10 scale rather than 0-4. It allows for better customization. Interactive submissions: That should have been there from the start, even though the unbreakable submission holds actually helped in certain matches, like the six way dance.... but yes this needs a change. Improved Countering: Just Bring It was too easy to counter moves, Shut You Mouth was too difficult.... there were matches where I could (and would) lose because the opponent got the first shot in, desite hammering the damned square button the whole way through. Countering should ALWAYS be based on proper timing, rather than a button mashing fest, despite who the rest of the game engine operates. Blood: this is what I liked about the Japanese imports, in that if you got run into a post or got hit in the head too much, you would start bleeding, I hope that its not constrained to the First Blood match they advertise. I like the fact that I can bust someone open with a chair, if I want to. The Money for abilities and possible movesets is a decent idea, although the cost for improving your wreslter should get hella steep the closer you get to maxing him out. But the WWE writers, in charge of the storyline??? THAT is going to suck big time, as they haven't proven they can write anything worth a damn for the REAL LIFE roster in YEARS. I really... REALLY hope the got rid of the huge areas to explore in order to speak to wrestlers to get matches or further an angle.... the way I see it they should have 1-5 wrestlers around the arena at all times, and depending on what you say to them get you a match, in the ring or out of it.... but the World and the freaking subway station was a MAJOR waste of time. I would rather do a circuit of the building, see if i can;t start something, and then get on with the damn card. Speaking of that, the card needs to be more than three matches. Seven would be ideal, but five seems to be more plausible.... On another topic, I wish the someone would remake Mat Mania, only with about 50 wrestlers... same basic game, but better.
