  1. No qualification? Perhaps you didn't see this: He's ready for the main event!
  2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Miz
  3. Probably. Except for the 2nd or 3rd seasons which were interesting on their own, the only reason I'd ever watch Real World is if one of the girls on it interested me. That season it was Coral.
  4. I hate the presumption that because you know enough about a subject to have a Ph.D. in it, that all you have to do is get up and talk for an hour and you've done your job. They don't understand that its not enough to simply give the material, but they also bear some responsibility to present it in a way that is conducive to learning. (To be fair, this is the problem a lot of high school teachers have.)
  5. That's what I was wondering. Thanks. "Brainiac Attacks" sounds like it might involve the Justice League, given the Brainiac storyline on JLU. Hopefully, though, there'll also be a JLU straight-to-video movie, or a Legion of the Super-Heroes DCAU series after JLU goes off of the air.
  6. Because its a fucking awesome show.
  7. In the US, we call those community colleges.
  8. I actually like what I've seen on the main page so far...I was just hoping for more of it.
  9. Except I wasn't talking specifically to you, I was referring to the thread in general. I was using your phrase to criticize Stein's point.
  10. Um, yes they are. Its completly different here than in the States. Wait a second...you're saying that in Canada of all places, colleges hire teachers (people trained in learning psychology and lesson design) to teach their college classes instead of people with doctorates in their specific field (who basically just stand up and talk for an hour without any regard to whether they're making any sense or not)?
  11. Reading this thread really brings home how much us fans have turned on Vince and Co.
  12. He was on Real World New York which aired in 2001. He used to run around their apartment pretending to be a WWF Superstar and challenging his roommates to matches. He was always portrayed as kind of an idiot. I didn't realize they kept bringing him back for their stupid reunion/challenge shows.
  13. My understanding is that Jillian Hall is a trained wrestler. Correct? If she's any good, I suspect they'll go the Molly Holly route and have her wrestle/put over the girls only hired to be eye candy.
  14. He was on a reality show FIVE YEARS AGO.
  15. "Ooooh...right in the sinister urge!"
  16. Fuck no. The 1984 movie? Its already been released on DVD, hasn't it?
  17. I suspect the only reason my local Fox station has their shit together is because they used to be an NBC affiliate. I've watched Fox 5 in NYC on my satelitte dish, and its virtually identical to Fox 4 in KC.
  18. The only reason I watch Raw (if I watch it at all) is so I can get on the internet and make fun of it.
  19. Alright that comment has been made before and before. you know it is possible to have two one night stands right? even with the same woman and all (to keep up the analogy) I mean picture this - you meet a chick have a one night stand then a year later she comes along again, she's a little older, a little less attractive to most guys but you're desperate cause you just can't seem to connect with the really fine looking women so you have another one night stand with her. One Night Stand 2 and I think you'll find that analogy very fitting of this situation too Then they should call it "Another One Night Stand".
  20. I thought this was an article about college professors. College professors are not teachers.
  21. HUH?
  22. This is idiotic. Saying something is wrong because it is "out of the mainstream" or not "down to Earth" is not a rational argument, because being those things doesn't automatically make you correct or even just. An idea doesn't have to be popular in order to be right. As far as Stein goes, I could care less what he thinks. He's as much entitled to his opinion as George Clooney, and I'm just as entitled to disagree with him as he does with George Clooney. Y2Jerk's fun fact of the day that's actually a fact: The American Civil War had the highest number of casualties of any war in American history with over 560,000 deaths. I'm sorry, was there even a real economic argument even put forth? Most of it was the same empty "support our troops" platitudes conservatives use every time dares to question the justness of military action.
  23. Also, the 3rd-5th paragraphs are rather Marxist and really have no clear linkage to justifying nationalism (or, at least, nationalism as defined by people who don't make up their own definitions for it).
  24. I think by now we should've learned that a trailer is no indication of how good a movie will be. For example, the Sith trailer was far more exciting than the one for Batman Begins, but we all know which one was the better movie.
