  1. Way ahead of you on that one. As of now, the only money Marvel gets from me is for Capt. America and Fantastic 4. In the last year I've dropped all Spider-Man books, all X-Men books (except Astonishing...which who know when that'll resume), Huk, and Avengers.
  2. I'd agree with this if it weren't for the fact that they're still using the spinner title belt. That seems like a sign that they're putting it back on Cena soon and don't want to bring back the old title for Edge to use and then replace it again with the spinner title in a short time frame. Either that, or Vince is now convinced the spinning belt is "cool".
  3. I recently rewatched Jerry Maguire on VHS entirely in fast forward. I honestly couldn't remember a damn thing about that movie and watching something in fast-forward is a lot easier on VHS.
  4. http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/01/15/iran.congress/index.html Is it just me, or do certain senators seem more concerned that the Holocaust was called a myth than with the possibility of being incinerated by a nuclear bomb?
  5. I hope not, since not only would that make SD look bad by having Michaels go over their champion, but Michaels was the one who eliminated him from the Elimination Chamber.
  6. And this makes reason #458 why I quit reading Marvel Comics.
  7. So I guess all those hammerlocks, bridges, and restholds he does were just figments of my fucking imagination. And I've absolutely never seen him chain wrestle. Seriously, what fucking guy have you been watching? You have absolutely no CLUE what the hell you're talking about.
  8. When's she going to wrestle again anyway? It's been a year, and they need competitors in the women's division. Do not EVER encourage or hope for Lita to start wrestling again. Even if I have to endure Ashley "chain wrestling" with her shitty hammerlocks or Torrie Wilson "wrestling", it's still better than Lita, who is suppose to be fully trained, wrestling. I disagree. Lita's at least shown herself to be carriable, and can do 2 or 3 cool spots. Neither Ashley nor Torrie are even close to that level. Yeah, seriously - let's not forget, it was just a few years ago that Lita was MAIN EVENTING Monday Night RAW in a very entertaining Womens Title match... against Stephanie McMahon, no less. Yes, it had the undercurrent feud of Triple H and Special Ref The Rock, but still. Lita is very entertaining in the ring when allowed to use the top rope. I was actually wondering when she was going to stop being Useless Sex Object and do some real ringwork, too, and I have a feeling it will be when she goes face again (if ever), for a similar reason for why they prevented Brock from doing the SSP - no one's going to boo that. Also, the December 2004 match against Trish Stratus.
  9. Ummm, if you can keep a big secret, I'll let you in on something..... Next you'll be telling us that .
  10. I've seen a lot of Divas who are over 165 pounds of mostly muscle. Citing gross exaggerations as evidence really isn't a good way to convince people you're right. Nor is calling a good all-around worker a "glorified gymnast". Smaller as in shorter. Maybe if you'd actually said "Mysterio is a glorified gymnast who is shorter than some of the divas." you'd have realized how weak that argument is.
  11. The collection includes: * Superman Annual #11: "For the Man Who Has Everything" * Detective Comics #549: "Night Olympics" Part One * Detective Comics #550: "Night Olympics" Part Two * Green Lantern #188: "Mogo Doesn't Socialize" * Vigilante #17: "Father's Day" Part One * Vigilante #18: "Father's Day" Part Two * The Omega Men #26: "Brief Lives" * The Omega Men #27: "A Man's World" * DC Comics Presents #85: "The Jungle Line" * Tales Of The Green Lantern Corps Annual #2: "Tygers" * Superman #423: "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow" Part One * Action Comics #583: "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow" Part Two * Secret Origins #10: "Footsteps" * Tales Of The Green Lantern Corps Annual #3: "In Blackest Night" * Batman Annual #11: "Mortal Clay" * Batman: The Killing Joke
  12. They could've put the belt on Benoit that very night on Smackdown. They could've still done the program with Booker T/Orton, and had the same finish to that match, then in the main event Benoit could have been in the battle royal (maybe even being the first guy in) and win the world title. It would have had the same feel as Wrestlemania X, where Bret Hart lost to Owen early in the night, then went on to win the WWF championship later that night. Maybe, but I'd be worried that having the guy who JUST lost a match to win the secondary title winning the primary title might look weird. And it'd automatically put Orton in the World Heavyweight Championship picture because he just beat the champ.
  13. That's a pretty poor counter-argument to limit it to just matches from 1999. I don't know if he's referenced matches specifically from 1999, but he has referenced matches from years passed. I don't sit down and write down what year each match Styles or other announcers reference matches from. You've got to be kidding me.

  15. Yeah, like anyone would ever do that on THIS board.
  16. Close but no cigar. After a trial run (that I didn't actually ask for) as "Mr. Jerk"... ...Yeah, I'd still like to be Y2Jerk again. Please?

  18. I think you're vastly underrating Mysterio's ability to work with opponents larger than himself.
  19. Nope. That doesn't describe Joey Styles or any other wrestling announcer at all. Here's a whacky question: would Goldberg have been able to do all these magical things you claim he can with a product he has no knowledge of?
  20. I find it funny that Angle was moved to Raw in the first place since he spent most of his time feuding with a came that came over with him from SD. they also could've waited a week or more and put the belt on Benoit, so Angle wasn't the only choice.
  21. Why would Angle be allowed to compete for the Smackdown World Championship if he's still going to appear on Raw?
  22. I assumed he was the guy who calls the UFC matches. You're saying he's a color commentator. Maybe I was listening to someone else. Regardless, I don't see the point of criticizing the play-by-play guy for calling play-by-play. Okay...I've got UFC on right now. If Mike Goldberg's one of the guys calling what's on right now...I don't know. It sounds to me like two guys sitting on their couch talking about what they're seeing on TV. Maybe I'm being too harsh, but I'm not horribly impressed by the announcing at all.
  23. Why? Interracial relationships are still frowned upon over a lot of the southern US. What he means is, the southern states are full of rednecks. Why be polite about it? They're a bunch of sociopathic gay-bashing homophobes whose idea of a good way to relate to gays is to bash their skulls in. The sad truth is, the Catholics are actually more tolerant of gays than Protestants are.... InuYasha: Trinity's not playing a gay character. Haws bah gawd & twiztedmind: This is 2006. There probably isn't any more racial prejudice in the South than in any other part of the country. Thus, singling out the South isn't fair.
