I think they should test the waters with him. Have someone beat the crap out of him to where he's off tv for a few weeks. Have Tenay do the sit down interview where he is out of character and talking about how he is going to come back as himself to get revenge. That will put the crowd behind him initially and then its all on him to keep them. If it turns out he becomes bland and people stop caring, you bring back the Machismo and realize he won't ever be the top guy.

AFTER TRYING TO SODDER IT AND IT STILL NOT WORKING THE TECH SHOWS ME THIS LITTLE BLACK BOX THAT HAD NOW TURNED PURPLE AT HTE BOTTOM OF THE BATTERY THIS HE SAID PROVED I HAD WATER DAMAGE AND IT WAS NOW VOID OF ANY WARRANTIES, EVEN THE 1 YEAR MFG WARRANTY. BEWARE TO THIS LITTLE BOX ON THE BOTTOM OF THESE BATTERIES, I KNOW I DID NOT HAVE THIS ANYWHERE NEAR WATER BUT IT WAS HUMID, IF MERE HUMIDITY IS CAUSING THESE BATTERIES TO SHORT OUT A PHONE AND PUT IT IN CAR KIT MODE THEN THERE WILL BE A LOT OF WASTED MONEY OUT THERE. I really like MVP but to me he comes off as more of a punk than a legitimate badass. And maybe that is how they intended him and maybe it is the outfit.

I really liked his character in that when he was about to get beat down, he knew it and you could tell he was thinking "I'm not a wrestler, what did I just get myself into." And his skits with The Rock were classics.

I could see Russo writing some steroid story where they talk to Chris in a dark room where he says he did roids and how he wants a clean start. They could find a way to take shots at WWE without actually saying certain things to avoid a lawsuit. Have him say he's clean and wants to show his real talent without the meds. I went to a Smackdown/ECW house show last night. After CM Punk defeated Miz he and Kelly Kelly left holding hands. Not sure if it was just to pop the crowd or if this is heading somewhere.

In my earlier post I forgot to mention my meeting of Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express around 1986. We used to go to the NWA shows early to see the wrestlers get out of their limos and snap some pictures. A cab pulled up and out came Jim Cornette, Bobbie Eaton and Dennis Condrey. But for some reason, the cab driver couldn't get the trunk to open. He was saying he didn't have the key for it or whatever. So for the next 30 minutes, the wrestlers were stranded out there while the cab company sent someone over to unlock the trunk. Cornette and Condrey gladly took pictures and signed a few items for people while Eaton was pissed the whole time.

It doesn't count since there are other pro teams in town. The Raiders have the A's, the SF Giants have the 49ers and the Warriors are in Oakland with the Kings being 2 hours away. And the fans in Oakland hate the fans in SF and they hate the Kings fans too.
