    CDs question

Shit, I thought I was using CD-RWs but I just realized they're CD-Rs I'm using. Reason is I have a CD-RW drive, so I assumed it was a CD-RW I was using, but apparently not. Anyway, about how many years will a CD-R work for before I should start thinking about making a copy of it? I appreciate all the help. Whenever I ask a question in this forum, nobody ever lets me down! To Czech Republic: Yeah, I found out labels aren't too good the hard way. I labeled the first few CDs I made and when I put them into the drive, it kept eating up the label so that when it came out, there was no label attached anymore.

    Audio/video out of sync

How out of synch was it? The video may've just been captured out of synch with the audio. It may not be your player's fault. It kinda depends.

Thanks. How long to CD-RWs last, do you happen to know?

    JoeDirt's old school match thread

I have the old WWF Superstars TV show opening. Do you want that?
  6. Pro Wrestling Torch and Big Vision Entertainment have teamed up to present the first "Ultimate Insiders" DVD set. This three DVD set is exclusively available right now to PWTorch.com readers for just $19.95 (plus shipping and handling). This 3 DVD set includes a volume dedicated to the WWF, a volume dedicated to WCW, and a volume dedicated to a random assortment of topics. Ultimate Insider DVD - Vol. 2 of 3 - Inside WCW In January, Torch editor Wade Keller sat down with Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara, the top two writers/bookers during the WWF's most successful boom period and discussed for nearly four hours in unprecedented depth one behind-the-scenes aspect of the WWF and WCW after another. (VIP members can listen right now to an exclusive ten minute excerpt of the DVD interview - including Keller confronting Russo about the David Arquette WCW Title win - by clicking here. I also introduce the clip with additional details on what went into the making of the DVD.) Russo and Ferrara, once close friends, had that bond broken from the stress of working together in the WWF and WCW. For the first time, after years of barely speaking to each other, they are back together to reminisce and put in perspective the whirlwind period they were part of in the late-'90s. With no involvement in the wrestling industry anymore, they reveal: Details never heard before about how the WWF operates... What many of the WWF's top stars were like to work with including Triple H, Steve Austin, and The Rock... What it was like to work side-by-side with Vince McMahon around his dining room table every week during the highs and lows of Raw's battle with Nitro.. What it was like to be part of the Bret Hart Survivor Series Swerve... In-depth thoughts on their involvement the night Owen Hart died... Specifically why they each left the WWF and joined WCW and whether they regret the move... What the WCW environment was like compared to the WWF... What WCW's top stars were like compared to the WWF's top stars... And much, much more... Vince Russo, Ed Ferrara, Wade Keller on set before the interview began There were no restrictions on what could be asked. There was no topic too taboo to bring up. Russo is confronted head-on with his decision to put the WCW Title around David Arquette's waist... and later his own. Why did he do it? Does he stand by either or both decisions? Does Ed Ferrara regret following Russo to WCW? Does he regret not taking a stand alongside Russo when Russo found himself odd-man-out in WCW? How much of Raw did they really write? How involved was Vince McMahon? How did Steve Austin deal with his rise to the top differently from The Rock? Or compared to Triple H? What did they have planned for WCW storylines that never happened? And ultimately, how do they look back at the wrestling industry now that they're out of the "wrestling bubble" and have some perspective on one of the most fascinating roller coaster rides anyone's ever taken behind the scenes in pro wrestling. The dynamic between Russo and Ferrara, together for the first time ever since leaving the wrestling industry, brings out new stories, at times sharply different perspectives, and vivid details about the biggest stories and personalities they experienced and influenced first-hand during the Monday Night War era - a time period that will never be forgotten by wrestling fans or those who were part of it behind the scenes. And now, thanks to this DVD set, a time period documented like never before. Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara backstage watching the match they booked play out in the ring. No punches pulled. No promotional affiliation to cloud judgment or soften opinions. No incentive to hold anything back. Would they do it again? Why or why not? Do they forgive each other for past perceived transgressions? Who did they most enjoy working with? Who the least? What angles did they like best? What storylines do they wish they could take back? This unique DVD set also includes unprecedented backstage footage from a January 2005 SCCW indy show in Los Angeles where Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara were guest bookers for the night, working closely with the wrestlers backstage (with camera and microphones eavesdropping on their every word), showing exactly what process goes into planning a match. Then watch the match - and watch the reactions of Russo and Ferrara from backstage as the young wrestlers attempt to pull off what was planned. Then listen in as they critique the wrestlers' performances afterward. (There are also three bonus matches included as extras from the indy show.) Over the course of these 3 DVDs you will experience 5 HOURS OF EXPLOSIVE INSIDER INFORMATION and 4 HOURS OF BONUS MATERIALS including seeing Vince and Ed script pre and post-match promos and an actual wrestling match. 9 HOURS from the ULTIMATE INSIDERS in all! ULTIMATE INSIDERS VOLUME 1 - INSIDE THE WWF Introduction Ferrara- Life Before the WWF Ferrara Gets Hired Russo - Life Before The WWF Russo Gets Hired Russo Stars to Influence the WWF Who? I wonder if Scorpio Sky, Quicksilver, etc. are unmasked when planning their matches with Russo...

I've Been Out Of The Loop For A Few Years...

Where is Vince Russo now? He was last doing CSWF shows in New Jersey. They did a Q&A session with him on his last wrestling show a few months ago. As others said, he's now retired and going to seminary school or something like that to be a preacher. Has Rob Van Dam done anything worthwhile in the past couple years? He opened his own comic book store in California and frequently holds autograph signings for WWE talent there. What are some of the biggest news items that has rocked the wrestling world (backstage-wise) in the past 2 years? One of the last things I remember was the infamous "Flight from hell" situation where Brock Lesnar and Mr Perfect almost killed the entire flight crew... Teddy Hart is the new God of self-marketing. An ECW reunion PPV is in the works for June this year (2005). Marty Jannetty and Shawn Michaels made up and are now real life friends again after both becoming born again Christians. Big Bossman died about a year ago.

    Dan Maff pulled from shows....

I never said that's a possibility. I just stated that he was married, so that makes it less likely, which is true.

    Dan Maff pulled from shows....

Like Maff, Homicide is also married (as has been since the mid-90's, as he said in his Do Or Die 1 promo) and has a 10+ year old boy (same source), so I doubt Maff cheated with Homicide's wife.

    Shotgun TV

When did this show begin airing? I'm pretty sure it was airing at least back in '97 and I have somewhat of a recollection of it airing before that. I didn't really watch it that far back, but I remember JR always plugging the show on RAWs that were pre-1998. However, the Wrestling Information Archive web site only has results that go back to 1998. I'm seeking match listings for the older episodes, pre-'98. Anybody have any suggestions as to where to find such info? Thanks in advance.
  20. From Rob Feinstein, like him or hate him: Tommorrow we will have a ton of news about all of the new DVD's that we will be putting out for sale. We have new shoot interviews that we just conducted, a new major show that we just filmed and we just got back in stock ECW commercial tapes once again that come in their original packages like you would buy them from a store. We got so many old titles back in stock and we will have news on that tommorrow as well. We also have an incredible package to offer you as well. I just have no time today to explain everything because we are at the office's once again for our new video series with Sabu!!! Well If you liked the Behind Closed Doors with Jake Roberts your going to love this DVD just as much. We are not even done yet but we have sat down with Sabu and we are watching his favorite matches from his entire career with him and he is doing voice overs for them. It is the same concept that when you buy a movie on DVD and you have the special option to listen to the director talk over the film well this is what we did over the last two days with Sabu. He is giving you his views and opinions on all of his matches that he hand picked himself. The concept is amazing and we are calling it Behind Closed Doors with Sabu :The Suicidal Insight series....If you want to know what was going thru the mind of one of the most innovative wrestlers in the 90's this video is a must. It is a must for any Extreme fan of pro wrestling because we have him talking about all of his famous matches and you will see them first hand with Terry Funk, Cactus Jack, Chris Benoit, FMW matches, Louie Spicolli, RVD, Taz, Chris Candido and so many more. This video is a must for any Sabu fan and I will have so much more to comment on either later tonight or tommorrow. As a special bonus Chris Candido showed up and is on the video as Sabu's co host going thru all of the matches and letting the fan's know alot of inside scoops that they never knew before. It is entertaining, funny and most of all innovative like Sabu. I will try to be back tonight to give you the full run down of what the video will be like because this was just a small explanation. As I am watching them I was marking out so I know this will be a huge hit!!!! Man, this sounds awesome.

    My updated trade/sale list (tapes/DVDs)

    HUGE update!
  22. I will trade these tapes for stuff on my want list or for custom comps (DVD preferred if possible, but VHS is OK, too). I'm mainly interested in indy stuff for a custom comp and indy stuff and shoots for trades. PM me if you're interested in anything. If you want to do a custom comp trade, then PM me your tape/DVD list, too. If you want to do a regular trade, well, PM me your list, too, I guess. However, for most of these I'll give you a much better deal if you make me a custom comp (i.e. instead of having to give me a 3 or 4 hour master, all I'll ask for is a 2 hour custom comp with first generation stuff). I would prefer custom comps, as there's a lot of stuff I'm seeking that aren't on the same shows. Thanks. All masters are perfect quality. - Martha Hart's "Broken Harts" book - 3PW Ravens Rules – master w/ box art and case (Raven vs. Sandman vs. Sabu, Low Ki vs. Joey Matthews, Homicide vs. Xavier, and more) - Best of Sting: Deadly Venom – master (box art and case included) - RF Video shoot interview with CM Punk/Breaking Kayfabe (both on same tape) - WWF RAW Attitude – master (highlights from 1998 RAW is WAR episodes) - WWF SummerSlam 1999 – master (box art and case included) - WWE Hulk Still Rules - 2-DVD master set w/ box art (perfect quality...must-have for Hogan fans) - WWF Armageddon 1999 (taped live, great quality) - WWF Backlash 2000 (taped live, great quality) - WWF Fully Loaded 1998 - master (perfect quality) - WWF Survivor Series 1998 - master w/ box art and cover - ROH Do or Die I - master w/ box art and case - ROH Night of the Grudges - master w/ box art and case - WWF One Night Only 1998 - master w/ box art and case - WWF’s Stone Cold Steve Austin: Hell Yeah!
