  1. Oh really? Do you remember what fed they were wrestling for or who they were wrestling, back in 98, by chance?
  2. Does the interview work for other people? I can't get it to work.
  3. WOW, the interview is so popular now that the site is taking several minutes to load. That just shows how big this interview is.
  4. Easily one of the best music videos I've ever seen, and I've seen A LOT of music videos.
  5. And sex with Jasmin St. Claire. Oh wait, that's already accessible...
  6. I haven't seen the actual DVD, but I've seen everything that's on it and anything with the Enterprise is really entertaining. If you're an XPW fan, which you appear to be, it's definitely worth getting. Plus, it has clips of Supreme vs. Kaos where Supreme got seriously burned. That match has never been released in full, but that DVD has the most clips of it that have yet been released. I'd definitely recommend it.
  7. Mike clearly said that according to Jim. That's what happened. So that's not to say there wasn't some type of controversy. If he is such a good guy, then he - like any reasonable person - wouldn't want to be associated with such controversy, would he?
  8. I'm accepting questions for Kaos for my interview with him. I need them by this coming weekend at ABSOLUTE LATEST, and even that's pushing it. Please post them or PM them to me by Friday. Thanks.
  9. Mike Johnson does ROH's bus trips. How is he any more credible than MiC? At least wait for Dave Meltzer or someone independent of all parties like that to report it.
  10. Nobody knows this???
  11. CREDIT: DeclarationOfIndependents.net The DOI has found out today from sources in Ring of Honor, that Ring of Honor Boston Promoter, James Quinlin, is no longer involved in the company. Ring of Honor would like for people to think that Quinlin was fired, but the real truth about Quinlin's dismissal from the company is because Quinlan felt cheated and used by two key people in the company. According to our ROH sources, Quinlin originally left the company 6 months ago, but was asked to return by ROH Owner, Cary Silken. Cary Silken respected and appreciated Quinlin's work in the company and wanted Quinlin to continue his work with ROH. Quinlin agreed to return to the company, under the condition that he woudln't have to deal with the "difficult business practices" used by Gabe Sapolsky. The reason Quinlin left the company the first time six months ago, is the same reason why he's leaving today. Per his agreement with Ring of Honor, Quinlin was supposed to receive a certain percentage of the gate that ROH grossed when they ran shows in Boston. Quinlin was supposed to receive $1 per fan in the building. For example, Quinlin would rent 500 chairs per show, and expect to be paid $500 at the end of the night, because all the chairs were filled. However, that did not happen. Quinlin felt that ROH employee, Syd Eick, would lie about the attendance figures to him. Quinlin was told by Syd every show that there were a lot of comps in the building. While comps are expected in indy wrestling, complimentary tickets aren't meant for 100+ people, like Quinlin was being told by Syd. Quinlin felt that Syd would undercut numbers to him for either personal financial gain or for ROH's financial gain. There was a similiar incident with ROH and JAPW, when the two companies held a joint show last year, where it looked like JAPW was being undercut money, by Syd, as well. Either way, Quinlin would be stuck with less money. Quinlin also felt mistreated by Ring of Honor, which led to Quinlin leaving ROH the first time 6 months ago. Quinlin felt like he was treated unprofessional by ROH Booker Gabe Sapolsky. Quinlin would tell Gabe that there were problems in ROH, such as paying off the chair rental companies, paying the municipal police for security, and other bills, but Gabe would brush Quinlin off and tell him he "had no time for him right now." Quinlin felt that he was treated as "insignificant" by Gabe. By not having these problems answered by Gabe, Quinlin would then have to feel the brunt of ROH's Boston's problems, while ROH counted their earnings problem free. Quinlin, being the stand-up guy that he is, would take care of all of Ring of Honor's Boston's bills, and would expect reimbursement later on. Quinlin was said to be on great terms with Cary Silken and found Cary Silken to be 100% professional. The reason Quinlan put up with Gabe and Syd's attitude and lies, according to people close with Quinlin, was because of his strong professional respect for Cary Silken. Cary Silken was said to be a true professional during all of this. Quinlin is now supposedly going to be replaced with a referee, who is under the age of 18, to help promote the Boston shows. The kid will help promote the shows by flyering the area, having a street team, and use other basic promoting techniques. It is not 100% confirmed that the kid will now be the official ROH Boston promoter, but it is expected, according to our sources in ROH. Quinlin will now be helping Jersey All Pro Wrestling, as JAPW makes their Boston area debut on May 21st. From people I've talked to, both parties are ecstatic about the arrangement. Both parties are looking forward to the event, as the show features alot of wrestlers making their Boston area debut. It should be interesting to see how many fans JAPW draws, compared to how many fans ROH draws in the same area. There is also a rumbling in the Ring of Honor locker room that any new wrestler who associates themselves as "personal friends" of the DOI or "associates/friends" with RF Video will not get a look by Ring of Honor. This is a statement that Gabe Sapolsky has told several people in the wrestling business already. One wrestler, who made his ROH debut this past Saturday night, was told by Gabe that he would not be allowed in ROH if he was friendly with members of the DOI or RF Video. It is obvious that Ring of Honor is trying to force the wrestlers to choose either doing business with ROH or their friends. I don't know why ROH would do something like this, but I guess it shows that ROH is somewhat threatened by either the DOI or RF Video. It also sets up ROH as having the power to all the younger guys who come into the company. RF Video's no-compete clause with Ring of Honor expires in the summer, and it is no secret that RF Video has been sending out feelers to independent wrestlers, as well as ex-WWE wrestlers, about working for RF Video, once RF Video debuts their new promotion. Once RF Video launches their new promotion, expect a "Monday Night War" feel on the indy scene between RF Video and ROH, as ROH has already made it look clear that they are threatened by RF Video and will do anything in their power (such as refuse bookings) for anyone who associates/talks to RF Video employees. RF Video employees have told the DOI they don't care what ROH does, as they are only focused on what RF Video does. As you can tell, RF Video has worked with several ROH wrestlers on outside projects, and have no interest on where a wrestler picks up a payday from. To dismiss other rumors, from other message boards, the DOI and RF Video have no business relationships, outside of advertising. Why Gabe would lump DOI into his business either shows paranoia by Gabe, or a fear that the DOI will help RF Video later on down the line. Either way, it is pretty ridiculous, from a personal viewpoint. According to an ex-WWE wrestler that the DOI has been in contact with, ROH is very interested in two wrestlers who were recently cut by the WWE this past month. We'll have more news on these deals once more information becomes available. Dan Maff is still in possession of the ROH Tag Team title, and according to people we've talked to, Maff has no intentions of giving it back. Who knows, maybe it will end up on eBay? After all, Jasmin St. Claire put 3PW up for bid on eBay earlier this month. ROH returns to NY, for the first time since 2003, in May. Expect something big to go down with the Rottweillers, who are NY based. The show will feature American Dragon vs Homicide, in a Steel Cage Match, to settle their Best-Of-5 feud. This feud has been one of the better feuds ever since the days of Homicide/Corino, Punk/Raven and Joe/Briscoes. UPDATE: ROH has officially confirmed the DOI's story about Quinlin leaving the company. According to the ROH newsline, which is written by ROH Booker Gabe Sapolsky, Quinlin has mutually left the company. ROH officially said the following: "ROH and Boston area promoter Jim Quinlin have mutually parted ways. We want to thank Jim for all his contributions to ROH and we wish him and his family the best in the future. ROH is now looking to rebuild the Boston market by stabilizing the building situation. We will announce a return date in the future." I find it interesting that ROH said that they need to rebuild their Boston market. ROH always considered Boston one of their top, outside of the Philadelphia area, to hold shows. ROH's first outside of Philly shows were held in Boston. They consistently drew strong numbers in the Boston area in the last three years. The word "rebuild" seems odd in ROH's press release. I don't know if the word rebuild is used to knock Quinlin or their own personal business. ROH is rumored to be in negotiations with a teenager to help them promote shows in the Boston area in the future. For more on ROH, visit http://www.rohwrestling.com
  12. It never did take place. It was scheduled to occur in LA I believe, but they cancelled it because XPW couldn't afford to put it on due to them having to finance their lawsuit against ECW at the time. That and there was a falling out between FMW and XPW.
  13. EDIT: PM me for info on this ad.
  14. That's another move. The Death Sentence is the Flying Leg Drop where the one guy is holding the victim.
  15. I prefer the last one.
  16. I'd prefer to trade for it...$10 is the best I could do if you want to buy. Are you still interested?
  17. What the heck? Why is Wildside ceasing operations? This came out of nowhere. Did they give a reason?
  18. DOI NOTE: As much as I don't want to cover the WWE on this indy-only site, no one else has this story, and I was asked by someone with a WWE contract (who told me this story) to inform the masses on what really happened. As many people know by now, Matt Hardy was released by the WWE, after publicly commenting about his break-up from long-time girlfriend, Amy Dumas aka Lita. The WWE felt that Matt Hardy was out of line for commenting about his break-up. Matt Hardy even wrote that "Adam Copeland (Edge) is feces." Matt was the one who first made the story public when he pulled Lita's pictures off his website and alluded to Lita's untrustworthy ways in his "Matt Facts" section of his website. The DOI has now found out what led to the break-up between Matt and Lita, and how Lita got involved with Edge. DOI NOTE: Usually I don't like to report about people's personal lives, but this is a story that has now affected someone's job and was made public on Matt Hardy's website. Matt Hardy and Lita's relationship started heading south a few weeks ago when Matt Hardy received a phone call from Edge's soon-to-be ex-wife. The woman told Matt that she suspected that Edge was fooling around with Lita. Matt denied that Lita was doing anything with Edge, but Edge's wife said she found a cell phone number on Edge's phone bill that had a North Carolina area code. When Edge's soon-to-be ex-wife called the number, she heard a voicemail that sounded alot like Lita's voice. Matt asked for the number and said it wasn't Lita's, when Edge's soon-to-be ex-wife gave him the number. After hanging up with the woman, Matt decided to call the number for himself. When he called the number, he was in bed with Lita, and Lita was sleeping. Much to his shock and dismay, when Matt called the number, a cell phone in Lita's bag started to go off. That is when Matt found out that Lita had two cell phones. One phone for normal use and one for her to use to cheat on Matt with with Edge. With Lita still sleeping, Matt went into Lita's bag and checked the second cell phone out. Matt browsed through Lita's cell phone, and he stumbled across her text messages. Matt was horrified and shocked to see text messages, to and from, Edge in her phone, especially when they contained "I love you", "I miss you", "Can't wait to see you" and other messages along those lines. He also saw her recieved and dialed calls, and saw that most of the calls were to and from Edge as well. Matt woke Lita up by screaming at her about the second cell phone that she hid from him. When Matt confronted Lita about these backstabbing messages, Lita broke down and cried. Lita admitted to having a crush on Edge and having sexual relations with him. Matt felt like someone ripped his heart out, and ended the relationship officially. Lita still told Matt that she cared about him and was sorry, but she was in love with Edge. (The same Edge who has had two ex-wives before hitting the age of 28.) And just like that, a meaningful relationship was ended by the wrestling business. Matt then kicked Lita out of his North Carolina house. Lita left and told Matt that she was going to her mother's house in Atlanta. Despite Lita's slutty ways, Matt still was in love with her, because he has loved for her a long time. Matt tried calling Lita's mother in Atlanta, only to find out that Lita wasn't there. Matt then found out through Lita's mother that Lita was staying at Edge's house in Tampa, Florida. This is when Lita's relationship with Edge became a reality. Matt did want to confront Edge about all of this, as he planned to attend a RAW to meet up with Edge face-to-face, but WWE management, not wanting a scene or incident, told Matt to stay home. It is not known if Matt has been able to contact Edge over the phone, but he has certainly fired alot of shots (deservingly so) at Edge on his official website at http://www.thematthardy.com Why Lita decided to betray Matt and throw away a lasting relationship is not known. Of course this is a personal matter, but it has affected the professional careers of all three wrestlers. It also makes the WWE look sick, slimey and disgusting. To recap real quick: Lita cheated on Matt Hardy with Edge. Edge really wanted to get it on with Lita and did so behind Matt's back, when Matt was recuperating at home. Two years ago, when Lita was rehabbing her injury, Matt would constantly check up on Lita and did not bang any ring rats nor any WWE women wrestlers or valets. It is obvious that Edge is the bad guy in all of this. Lita is either easily manipulated or a flat out slut. Matt is the innocent victim. What does the WWE do knowing all of this? They fire Matt, make Edge the number 1 contender (despite never getting over since 2000) and have Lita make out with Kane on WWE TV. I didn't know that Vince Russo was back in the company. Edge has had numerous chances in big time matches for the WWE and has proved that he can't carry the ball. On the flip side, Matt Hardy was able to get himself over with limited TV time with his V-1 gimmick and was never given the green light to steal a show. Matt was always a loyal WWE employee, even butting heads with Johnny Ace for being a "WCW guy" during 2001. He even took WWE's side over his brother's side, when Jeff Hardy left the WWE. It's stories like these that make the wrestling business look bad. The true victim, Matt Hardy, who many indy wrestlers who have met him, have told me that he's a great guy, loses his job. The snake in this situation is rewarded with a huge push on TV. It also shows that love is a two way street. The DOI wishes the best for Matt Hardy in all of his future endeavors. From what we are told from people who know him, have met him and have spoken with him, he is truly one of the better guys in the business. It is rumored that Matt will pop up in TNA once his 90 day no-compete clause expires. Hopefully he will also be able to show everyone what "Mattitude" is in the northeast area. 19. Billy Reil sent the DOI the following retirement statement: It's been a really rough year for me, as this past 12 months has been exausting. I just returned from my surgeons rehabilitation center where I've been trying to get my ankle fixed for the past 6 months. I had two surgeries in the past 3 months on my right leg, and sadly things didn't go the way the doctor anticipated. I wanted to come on this message board and write this because Frank Goodman was the last promoter to believe in me, and give me a forum to show my talent. I loved working for USAPRO/UXW, as it was almost like a wrestler reunion every show. It was a place where I would occasionally run into somebody that I haven't seen in 10 years or so. These past 10 years have been the greatest gift that a scrappy kid from South Philly could have ever asked for. Wrestling taught me so many valuable lessons in my life. Lessons that I have to use now as I move to a different part of my life. I wish I could still perform the way I did when I was in my prime.. Hell I wish I could perform a lil enough even to hang onto the business, but I can't even do that because of the severity of my ankle injury. I feel like I'm writing a eulogy almost and in a way I am. As sad as I may feel about never being able to perform again, I am happy enough to have the memories that most people only dream to have, so in that I am very thankful. I want to thank Fat Frank,Carmine Sabia, Ricky Otazu, and Tommy Fierro for all their help making me into a "Name". I remember how difficult it was back then not falling into 1 cliche considering how much heat their was amongst certain afilliations. I always kept true to myself and kept it real with the boys, and that helped me more than anything. For all the fans that continue supporting indy wrestling I want to thank you. The fans have been extremely awesome over the past 10 years, and I will never forget how cool you guys were to perform in front of. Whether it was South Philly, New York, North Carolina or California it was my utmost pleasure to be able to entertain you. Keep supporting the indy's as there are new stars born every day. I don't want this to drag on, so I'm gonna wrap this up quick. Thanks to the late Dennis Corraluzzo for believing in me enough for me to believe in me. Trent Acid you've been the little brother that I never had in this business. You were a great opponent, but a greater friend throughout the past 10 years. For guys here in UXW like Mike Tobin, Tony Lo I just wanted to thank you for the great times that we shared in that ring over the past 2 years. Pass along the message to Danny Drake that he was awesome to be around, but in a very similar situation because of the physical damage that has been done I can no longer be able to wrestle. I know I've retired before as part of angles and storylines, but this time its legit. I will miss everybody greatly, as I looked foreword to seeing you guys on the weekends, but like all good things this too must come to an end. On a lighter side, I do apologize for getting Dana into the business, but I wanted head. LOL... Thank You all for the memories Billy Reil Classic, Billy. I wonder if he'll become a fireman now that he's retired. (inside joke)

  21. I will trade these tapes and DVDs for stuff on my want list or for custom comps (DVD preferred if possible, but VHS is OK, too). I'm mainly interested in indy wrestling custom comps or recent ROH/RF Video shoots for trades. PM me if you're interested in anything. If you want to do a custom comp trade, then PM me your tape/DVD list, too. If you want to do a regular trade, well, PM me your list, too, I guess. However, you’re going to get a much better deal if you make me a custom comp (i.e. instead of having to give me a 3 or 4 hour master, all I'll ask for is a 2 hour custom comp with first generation stuff). I would prefer custom comps, as there's a lot of stuff I'm seeking that aren't on the same shows, but if there’s something on my want list that you have, please PM me. Thanks. 22. What I did is clip down the following CZW COD6 matches to feature the good parts. The file totals about 18 minutes. Matches contained (in clipped form) are: - Beef Wellington vs. Kid Kamikaze (including Sexxxy Eddy's post-match shenanigans) - Shelley/Storm vs. Stevens/Strong - Sonjay vs. M-Dogg Enjoy... http://s27.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3RB02EH...PD2FYY9KOBNIM2U http://s22.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=212G7UG...WS1NUBHBYHGWRXE http://s22.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0D8SWL8...L1381QZ3TD54PWR
  23. Yes, it was a work. And yeah, E-TV was great stuff. Kaos and GQ were awesome in their roles.
  24. Thanks for the info. Does anybody know exactly when they switched it from Thursday to Tuesday?
  25. What day is it taped? I always thought it was taped Thursday and aired Friday, but in this thread - http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?showtopic=68861 - the subject says "last night" and the thread was posted on a Wednesday, so that would indicate it being taped Tuesday. So, what day is Impact taped? And whatever the answer is, was it always taped on that day, or were the first few episodes taped on a different day than it currently is is taped? Thanks in advance.
