In Random Fan's review of the CZW Fake You TV show the move was used on, he said something like Sonjay goes up top and flies off with the Bollywood Splash. So, I don't know. YOu may be right, but from that it sounds like a move from the top buckle...

If this was like 10 mintues long, this could be FANTASTIC. Too bad it was probably like a 2 minute squash.

I haven't watched RAW in several weeks, but WOW...this thread caught my attention upon entering the WWE forum... I've always thought Brian was underrated. He's a really solid worker, IMO. He's got a great look and gimmick and of course lots of charisma. I think people are unfair about his workrate, though. He's SO much better than Scotty 2 Hotty. Jesus, speaking of Scotty...where the hell is Scotty these days? I remember he was on TV like two months ago. Has he been on since then?

AWS in Cali features Super Dragon, Samoa Joe,
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
Oh, really? My bad. I remember hearing about them when they released the Messiah shoot interview, but hadn't heard about them since, so I (erroneously) assumed they hadn't ran in awhile. My bad. -

CREDIT: SoCalUncensored message board Nosawa vs. Vamp could be great if done right. It really could. Vamp isn't awesome like Nosawa, but Nosawa could cover up his weaknesses quite well. Super D./Faviano...meh. Could be good, though. The four-way looks really good, all of the tag team matches look great...AWS's first show in months is looking good. And you can't go wrong if you're gonna bring in Sonjay Dutt, either.

WOW, there is a God. That piece of shit got what was coming to him for years. I've never been able to stand him. He's a worthless asshole who should rot in jail. He's violated probation and stuff so many times ever since the mid 90's. I remember when he offered to have his finger cut off on a live ECW PPV in return for getting a spot on the ECW roster, and then getting sued by WWE for the whole Undertaker.tv, Therock.tv, Stonecold.tv, etc. deal.
-
Are they now the new PWF Tag Champs? They beat the guys who were the champs, Hidaka & Fujita, but was that a title match or not? Anyone attend the show and have any idea? Whose the champions now?
-
I fucking can't stand him as a wrestler, and I've said that many times before. But as a person, he's one of the nicest wrestlers there are. This one wrestler I referred to above, he was there for them when their father died, during marital problems, etc. He's a very good guy in real life, from what I hear. That doesn't make him a better wrestler, though.

Hey Markingout: Couple more CZW questions you may be able to help with... What are... - Sonjay Dutt's Bollywood Splash and Bombay Lock (the 3/26 show FU TV show) (the 6-man tables match) - AMIL's Dime Drop, Thug Passion, and Paid In Full (all done in their four-way tag team match that aired like last night on FU TV) - Joker's Joker Choker and Jokerplex (same show as the AMIL tag match) Thanks in advance.

For the first few seconds when I read that, I thought it said Sabu, and I was like, WTF?!?!?!?!
-
Not sure. I'll have to ask him. I do know he was walking backstage after the show, though.
-
Oh, boy. Long story. Which incident are you referring to? LD or Free Fall. Living Dangerously 2000 (ECW PPV). Grimes and Jack were both supposed to go off the scaffold, but Grimes chickend out upon getting up top, and New Jack had to pull him off. Grimes fell on Jack's head and caused him to become blind for several weeks, and also broke several of his bones. When they came to XPW, Rob Black sat them down for a talk and made them promise they'd be peaceful, but that didn't work. The Free Fall match was a legit shoot, and Jack was legitimately going to hurt Grimes. I was told by another XPW wrestler who was at the show that Jack told him (this wrestler) to come into his locker room before the show. Jack then turned the lights off and asked the wrestler if he saw it. The wrestler asked what he was referring to. Jack flashed a flashlight, and revealed a legit taser. He said that he was gonna pay back Grimes for talking shit behind so many people's backs. Grimes is a very nice guy in real life, but his main problem is that he talks about a lot of guys behind their backs, and he did that in APW, WWF, ECW, and XPW. So, Jack said he didn't care how much troube he got into, and that he was gonna taser Grimes off of the scaffold. They got out there and Jack chickened out, telling this wrestler after the show that he just couldn't do it because he already had problems with the law and he knew that Grimes would try to put him up on charges for attempted murder. But he did use the taser. He just didn't use it to try to kill him. He was going to shoot him like seven times until he stumbled off the edge and fell off the scaffold, but decided that he couldn't risk getting in trouble, so he just stunned him three times, then grabbed him, whispered to him that he was going to throw him off, and Grimes took the bump. The taser spot was 100% legit and 100% unplanned, though. Since then, Grimes hasn't talked shit about anybody, and it seems that he's learned his lesson. Grimes would've died that night had they not moved the ring about three feet over before the show. If they hadn't done that, he would've missed the ring completely (as it was, he touched the ring ropes and only hit two of the tables) and died...no question about it. XPW would've been done right then and there if that had happened. I'm probably going to be talking to Grimes in the next few weeks about his entire career, and the LD and Free Fall incidents will most surely be included. For a full recap of the Grimes/Jack feud, written by me, go to http://geocities.com/joycebarber2001/grimesjack.htm

I love you, Corey.

OK, let's see. They have Boz & Bradley, and let's face it...they're one of the best big man tag teams in the U.S., along with the Carnage Crew, Rainman & Mikal Adryan, etc. But besides them, who else does IWA-MS have? Sure, they've had Matt Sydal & Delirious team a few times, but let's face it - they're really IWA-MS guys. They have like NO steady tag teams besides, B&B. With the upcoming tag team tournament, things will probably change, though. They got a great list up on their message board of guys they may bring in, and it's lookin' good, to say the least. So, who would you like to see team up? I think Steve Stone & Danny Daniels would be a nice start. Maybe pair Arik Cannon up with someone, but then again he's getting really over as a singles guy.
-
Oh My God! According to this video, Bret Hart is returning to WWE! WOW, I can't wait!
-
I talked to someone who's really good friends with RVD this past weekend and they said he's (and I quote) "absolutely miserable in WWE." I don't think he'll last much longer.
-
You're suggesting he get trained by Ruckus? Don't get me wrong - Ruckus is a very nice guy, but I wouldn't want him training me as a wrestler...I wouldn't want him getting anywhere near me while I'm training, let alone INSTRUCTING me...

LOL. Samoa Joe does in fact live in Cali, although he does hang out at CM Punk's house somewhere in like Delaware I think quite often, when he's booked for East Coast shows. They should bring back Altar Boy Luke. In the last six months since he worked for him, he's really stepped it up a notch in Wildside, to the point that he, Sal Rinauro, and Seth Delay are the three best cruiserweights they have probably (maybe throw Ray Gordy into that group, too). Some of the Chikara Pro guys like Gran Akuma, Mister Zero, Hallowicked, and even Mike Quackenbush could shine in X Division six-mans. I'd love to see Masada come in. I'll post more as I think of other guys.
-
DuskTillDawn - Actually, this show started an hour 15 minutes later than scheduled, so they still have that problem. Good to see AMIL getting booked. Rave/Hero and Acid/Hart should've been good. Cannon/Maff was said to be a "headdropfest." Whitmer's decent. Like a lot of good workers who aren't charismatic, he has a stereotype about him as being kinda dull, but he knows how to work. I think it's a lack of personality and charisma that's keeping him from going to the next level - i.e. TNA.

INTERVIEW: GQ Money/"Devilish" Lee Handsome
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
UPDATE: I talked to Steve Rizzono pretty much this entire afternoon (at least six hours, maybe more) about his entire career. The depth of our interview was equivalent to about two RF Video shoots, but here's just a small preview of what he discussed: - everything and everyone he encountered while in XPW; I'm not gonna name everything; he discussed everything I previewed in my last few posts; I'll just preview the non-XPW stuff - getting into the business - working with Mike Modest, Vic Grimes, Spike Dudley, Crash Holly, Chance Beckett, Juvi, and others - drug use in the business - egos in the business - his thoughts on Veronica Caine, Dave Meltzer, Rob Black, GQ Money, John Kronus, and many, many others - the life of Crash Holly, and what led to his downfall to drugs; also - his memories of Crash - how the business has changed over the last decade - his retirement speech a few months ago, and how it was one of the most emotional nights of his life - how Kaos changed over the time he knew him - his friendships with Sabu, New Jack, and Chris Hamrick, and memories of meeting each guy for the first time so many years ago - his thoughts on the idea of "death matches" and "hardcore wrestling" - and perhaps most interestingly, the toll that wrestling has taken on his body...I gained a whole new respect for him after talking to him about this subject The full details of what we talked about will be released over the next few months. Also, coming in the next one or two weeks: - part 4 of an interview with GQ Money - an interview with Leroy the Ring Crew Guy - some major announcement on several relatively big name indy workers who'll be contributing to this retrospective about XPW And in the next few months: - many never-before-seen pre-XPW photos of The Messiah, Johnny Webb, Kaos, Supreme, Angel, and many other wrestlers from XPW - part 1 of my retrospective about the company's history -
RESULTS: - a 6-man tag team match featuring some Chikara Pro wrestlers - Jon Dahmer d. Merc - Nick Berk d. Corey Kastle and Niles Young - Nate Hatred and Wifebeater confront Trent Acid, who has returned to CZW - Rebel's Army d. Jude/ DJ Hyde (yes, you read right...two heels defeat two heels...oyyyyyy) - Danny Rose d. former partner Adam Flash - Sabian/Petey Williams d. Jacobs/Sonjay (this should be good) - MAIN EVENT (B-Boy and Messiah missed their flights so their match was cancelled): Roderick Strong d. Chris Hero, BJ Whitmer, and Arik Cannon in a 4-way match. Great, they didn't even bother booking Joker or Ca$h. Oyyyyyy...
