  1. I guess they figure that the third time's a charm.
  2. Holy crap, I'm getting more sick of Gerber with every game he plays. The guy doesn't do anything but give up rebounds and overcommit. The Canes should be up by 2 or 3 goals right now. In spite of that, I'm really satisfied with the team's play so far.
  3. No, Quebecers are a nation. Like the First Nations. Which is still stupid, but not as explosive.
  4. King Kong Bundy losing a hair match in WCCW is one of the few that were respected. Then again when you get a tub of Nair on your head for losing you kind of expect it to never grow back besides the Brady Bunch perm was not a good look for him. Kurt Angle against Edge was another one. He still hasn't grown it back; he probably figured out that it suited his character better. He looked less goofy.
  5. I was on the "Giants are fucked" bandwagon, until I looked at the standings and realized there'd have to be a pretty bad team that would make the playoffs if the Giants didn't (unless it was Atlanta, but I think they're REALLY fucked). If they go 3-2 in their last 5, they'll almost certainly get in. Even 2-3 gives them a decent shot at 8-8, given that the teams chasing them are 5-6 San Fran, 5-6 St. Louis, 5-6 Atlanta, 5-6 Minnesota, and 5-6 Philadelphia. Their conference record would give them a good chance to win a tiebreaker against any of those teams. As for whether they'll make a good showing in the playoffs...no, I think they'll get beaten up pretty good against any of the division winners.
  6. The fuck tense is this in?!? I don't know, but I think he will also be check in on it a very day.
  7. I'm sure there were numerous "Loser Leaves Town" matches where the stipulation was respected back in the territory days. That's how Mick Foley left World Class, if I remember his book correctly.
  8. The Niners did it to Montana. It's business, and no one should think of it as anything else. The Packers shouldn't be holding onto him if it keeps them from moving forward.
  9. Maybe so, but the USC hate would have gotten him banned here this season anyway, even if the Oregon game never happened. I can't even imagine the flamefests he'd be having right now with Spicy and 909, among others. There's no one there to really goad him, from what I can see, which is a pretty good thing for him.
  10. Same shit, different pile.
  11. Some people are hopeful they can one day be thankful Dama is no longer around...
  12. Don't forget Furface. According to Wikipedia, you can add Ed Boulder, Eddie Golden, Brute Force and the Clipmaster too. He wins.
  13. Well, then. Zaun was who I'd hoped they would sign in the first place, so I'm not at all upset. Weird turn of events, though.
  14. Week 15. Dallas/Atlanta in week 15 is the only game of the 3 that has a chance to be interesting (other two or KC/Oakland in week 16, and Giants/Skins in week 17).
  15. Wayne Brady was ridiculously good in last night's episode. TVLand did a list of the top 100 catchphrases in TV history. Apparently, "Suit up!" made the list.
  16. I forget who it was exactly, but someone on ESPN.com had an article last week saying exactly that. It was refreshing.
  17. First Britney, now Pam. Clearly, love is dead.
  18. Sucks that I have to miss the Army-Navy game this year. It's always the most enjoyable game of the year for me, even if it's not particularly close.
  19. It's been a weird week up in that area. Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia got 6 inches apiece, and they NEVER get snow.
  20. Snow game. That should make this game a little more fun than it would otherwise be.
  21. To clarify, that's the five-year survival rate for anyone with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. It could be different for a white male of Piper's age.
  22. That's a great hire for Michigan State. Dantonio got Cincinnati to a respectable position in the Big East very quickly.
  23. Fun facts I got from looking at the Blackhawks team page on ESPN.com... Martin Havlat still leads the team in goals, with seven. He, of course, has not played since October 20. Since he went down, the team has scored 15 goals in 14 games.
  24. This company is so hopeless. I've seen sixth-grade classes that are less juvenile than WWE.
  25. I agree with all that, but you still can't go out and single out your QB for the loss in front of the media, especially with all the players that have called Coughlin out for bad coaching so far. That's only going to get worse now. They're going to quit on him really soon.
