Division I-A college football, in addition to being the only sports league I know of that doesn't have a playoff of some kind to determine its champion, is the only sports league I know of where there are entire blocks of teams that have no chance to win a championship NO MATTER HOW WELL THEY DO. We all joke about how teams like the Pirates are eliminated from World Series contention before Opening Day even rolls around, but this is a literal truth in college football for dozens of teams, and no one does anything about it.

Seriously, is it that hard to find an announcer?? I'm not saying it's an easy job, but there's gotta be someone in america who went to broadcasting school and knows very little about wrestling. For what their pay is rumoured to be for all the travel and other crap they'd have to put up with, it actually doesn't surprise me at all that WWE can't find someone else.

No way. Poker is HUGE. Everybody . . . and I mean everybody at my work plays it, follows it, and talks about it. It's not going anywhere . . . yet. Ratings are down everywhere. The Main Event did alright this year, but not as well as the past few years. Considering a gigantic douche won it, I'm not surprised. Ratings are only going to get worse -- the US government outlawed bank transactions funding online gambling in the last session, and a lot of the online poker rooms barred Americans from playing, including the largest one. Interest is going to really die down in the next few months, I think.

Uh, why exactly? Please don't tell me THIS is the answer at short for next season. The guy's only cracked a 700 OPS twice this decade. Meanwhile, John McDonald produced a .579 OPS and Russ Adams produced a .601 OPS. Second base was a HUGE hole for the Jays last year, and they filled it as best they could. Clayton's no world beater, but he's a huge improvement. Shortstop. And I don't know I'd exactly call it a huge improvement, although it is somewhat of an improvement, I guess. Heck, Alex Gonzalez would have been better.
