  1. Cyclists that ride on the sidewalk. They're a menace, both to pedestrians and drivers that don't expect them there. I nearly got into an accident with one a few years ago -- I was making a right-hand turn at a stop sign, and there was a building on my right blocking my view, so when I crept out to make my turn, the cyclist going full-speed down the sidewalk (on the wrong side of the road!) nearly went flying over my hood.
  2. If Dama could just let things go, this would never have happened. He takes everything extremely personally. But yeah, this was a weird banning, although I kinda saw it coming after seeing the picture in IKCJ's sig.
  3. I can't believe anyone would care enough about the Killer Bees to wonder who the better of the two was. That's like arguing over which of the Young Pistols was better. Besides, Brunzell could have been the weak link, and you just mixed them up when they had the masks on.
  4. Where does Sergio the Folding Chair get off talking shit about anyone? Try winning a big tournament sometime, Sergio. It won't hurt, I promise.
  5. Jays avoid the sweep against the Yankees, but Halladay left with an apparently injured pitching arm. I swear I'm thisclose to burning the Halladay jersey. Some sort of weird voodoo thing going on.
  6. Apparently Chara got hit in the ankle in tonight's game and had to leave. Also, Evgeni Malkin took a big hit (from his own teammate) and left his game tonight, favouring his arm.
  7. Awesome. I'm in as the Canadian Experience.
  8. Any other openings?
  9. I guess it's true what they say...MAN BITES PANDA is a lot more newsworthy than PANDA BITES MAN.
  10. They clinched a division they hadn't won in 20 years. I'd get excited over that, no matter how far out in front the team had been. It's still a holdover from when the division title was the only way to get into the playoffs.
  11. The Sens beat up the Penguins last night, 5-2. Heatley scored twice. Both goals came against the third-string goalie. I don't think they're going to miss a beat.
  12. 8/14 different than Agent. Should be interesting. I'm not a cheater like you Leena, I don't peek at my opponents picks before I make mine. That's not cheating, that's just smart.
  13. I agree with most of what you said, Dama, but when it comes to big programs, I think there's a huge difference in motivation level between playing in a BCS bowl where everyone in the country is watching you (like Auburn) and playing in a second-tier bowl that's not even on New Year's Day (like Oregon and Cal did). Not that that's an excuse for the Pac-10 teams losing, but the disappointment factor has to be a lot less in the first case.
  14. Didn't he leave after the MikeSC Fiasco 1.0?
  15. I knew Collins had a horrible day, but I didn't know until I watched PTI that his QB rating Sunday was 1.3. He's one step away from being Aaron Brooks.
  16. It's on NBC Mondays at 10. EDIT: I look like a nit specifying the network because it actually is on Sundays at 10 here in Canada on CTV.
  17. They did that last week. He didn't do much.
  18. I wonder how many other people hope to get violently rear-ended on the expressway. Mmmm, whiplash.
  19. I played the arcade version. Twas a bitch to try and control your man.
  20. It was a non-save situation. As you know, closers don't succeed in that kind of environment. Hoffman didn't come in until after Drew's HR, so it was a save situation. My bad, I thought he gave up all 4 shots. Uh *flips through closer's cliche manual*. . . he didn't come in to start the inning. As you know, closers don't succeed in that kind of environment. Much better.

  22. If that's even remotely true, Sooners fans are one sorry group of individuals. That's disgusting and shouldn't even be joked about.
  23. Thanks for posting that. That's the greatest crowd reaction I've ever seen for a regular-season game. Nice to hear Vin Scully calling it, too.
  24. Damn, those three runs in the top of the 9th killed us.
  25. Maybe he's like Chuck Norris and can knock people down just by thinking about it.
