  1. I was wrong, Wright did make it out of the second. He did not, however, make it out of the third.
  2. He has for a long time. He might not make it out of the second.
  3. He was quite a schmuck. I wouldn't be surprised if Vince took him out because Vince or Hogan thought he was hurting Hogan's stature. Bossman was way cooler in the fans' eyes, that's for sure.
  4. VERNON~!~!
  5. Not with Angle. He's clearly worked around Kurt's injury for the past several years and now it's coming to the point that it's so bad he doesn't want him on TV anymore. You can't blame Vince on this one like you can with other situations that I agree with. It's just Kurt Angle is who he is and he will die in the ring. However, this suspension is probably something that should of happened quite a long time ago...but at least it happened before it was too late. I hope you're right, and that it's not past too late already.
  6. Somebody needs some reading comprehension.
  7. What's he holding in his hand? Is he pretending that's a mic or something? Anyway, lame.
  8. They haven't shown that they are for real already? They have the best record in baseball and the BP's Playoff Odds have them at a 91.7% chance of making the playoffs. I don't think Chicago has the pitching to knock them off this year, unless they make some sort of deal at the deadline. The main concern I'd have if I were the Tigers is that the pitching staff is a potential house of cards. The team is relying a lot on Verlander and Zumaya, who haven't pitched full big league seasons, as well as Rogers and Jones who could literally fall apart any moment. There are some OBP issues in the lineup, but it really hasn't hurt the offense much. Let's face it, as long as the White Sox were constantly making the Tigers their bitches, there were going to be questions and doubts. tigers took 2 out of 3 from them. thats hardly "constantly". the white sox are 5.5 out. hardly means the tigers have clinched, but its a good cushion for them. And they lost 8/9 before this series. THAT'S constantly.

  10. Except that he has a good track record of sending wrestlers to rehab, even if it wasn't in the public spotlight. He sent Eddie, Regal among others and tried countlessly to get Hardy into rehab. Eddie did publicly embarrass the company with his drunk driving arrest.
  11. Remember this interview?
  12. Vince's track record on doing that is very poor. His past actions have established that he will only intervene if you publicly embarrass the company (e.g. by getting arrested). Otherwise, he'll let you keep going until you kill yourself or outlast your usefulness to him.
  13. Painkillers. I haven't heard any stories saying Angle's using illegal drugs.
  14. Who owns the Score? For some reason I always thought it was BellGlobeMedia (CTV, etc). No, Bell GlobeMedia owns TSN. The Score is owned by a small company named Score Media.
  15. Crazy. When did that happen? I've always prided myself on knowing the names of arenas, stadiums, and where golf tourneys are held. I dropped the ball for about three weeks on Scotiabank Centre this year as well. Small nitpick -- it's Scotiabank Place. The Pond name change won't be official until October, which probably explains the website.
  16. No storyline. Tugboat had just come back from an injury, was teaming with the Bushwhackers in a 6-man tag against Earthquake and the Nasty Boys, and turned on his partners toward the end of the match.
  17. I hope they're at least within shouting distance next month. I'm going to a game against the A's on the 22nd.
  18. I think the current situation is 100x worse than the mid-90s. They at least made an effort with the tag division 10 years ago. Most of the teams weren't very good, but the champs were usually at least passable (and VISIBLE). The Headshrinkers, the Smoking Gunns and the Quebecers were all decent. Now, it's hit and miss on whether I can tell you who both sets of tag champs are on any given day. The titles are invisible, because the champs don't defend enough and there's no one good to defend against.
  19. Dan the Bastard is an idiot. Did you see him on PTI today dressing down Wilbon for liking that Buck O'Neil was at that minor league All-Star Game, when he thought the old guy who had an at-bat last week was stupid? Unreal.
  20. After what Vince did to them for their entire run, they never would have been taken seriously as heels.
  21. He's not on the bench tonight, and there's a big red line through his name on the line-up card in the Jays dugout. Um...what? Whenever a player starts to refer to their team as "they," though, it's time to go. Not good at all. And, of course, they're going to get nothing for him now. Damn, 2-run HR by DeRosa to tie it for Texas. Janssen was sailing though the game until that point.
  22. Your actually bothered by the ticker???? I don't mind it at all. I'm of two minds. I like the ticker if there's a game I want to follow, but I hate that it takes up way too much of the screen. The channel was never meant to carry actual programming. I also hate their crappy sportscasters, but that's another story. I might decide to watch SmackDown if I like the storylines. I haven't watched it in years since I don't get UPN here, and I started watching other stuff (usually hockey and/or CSI) on Thursdays.
  23. Bye. ... Who are you?
  24. If Oklahoma City is considered able to support a team, then Las Vegas certainly is. They have a larger population (and still growing) and a higher median household income.
