Good to see the new AD going in a different direction. Pasqualoni was a good coach, but the program had stagnated and recruiting was terrible. Can't imagine who they might go after that would be eager for the job, though -- it's not exactly one of the glamour jobs. They're probably going to end up with a coordinator from somewhere else.
Because everyone is still fixated on the notion that Gonzaga is a Cinderella team, because they play in a low-major conference, even though they were top-5 in the country last year. It's one of the reasons why I'm glad the polls in college basketball are totally useless, unlike college football.
Didn't much need the clip show, but DAMN were there some fine racks tonight. Kudos to the producers for the bonus footage of Kris at the beach in Senegal.
They came through? The Eagles were playing their third stringers.
The Eagles could've put the practice squad out there and I still wouldn't have been comfortable.
Wow, the Rams actually came through. Who'da thunk it.
Now I can focus on getting that #1 seed. Incidentally, the tiebreaker order atop the AFC appears to be 1) CLE, 2) DEN, 3) BUF, 4) HOU.
They should have just voted the entire Eagles team to the NFC roster. Same difference.
Antonio Gates made the AFC squad, which made me happy. I love watching him play.
A playoff system won't impact that, though. It would've been more accurate for me to have said that a playoff won't make people more or less likely to watch lesser bowls.
I think people are grossly overestimating the impact of a playoff system on the lesser bowls. People have ALWAYS watched the lesser bowls, even when you knew the two teams weren't playing for anything more an 8-4 season as opposed to 7-5. A playoff isn't going to change that -- people will still watch college football if it's on TV.
All this system will likely do is crown three national champions instead of two, unless the NCAA takes away the power to crown a national champion from the polls.

I'm still shocked that the NFC West is so bad Arizona could still win the division.
Here's how bad the NFC as a whole is:
1) The final wild card team is guaranteed to be no better than 8-8 (and that's only if one of the 6-8 teams wins both games);
2) New Orleans is tied for a playoff spot;
3) Everybody except San Francisco is still in playoff contention with 2 games left, even though only five teams have a .500 record. Six teams are 5-9 and only a game back.
The teams were created 60-80 years before there even was a CFL. When the league was formed, the names were kept as they were.
Ottawa's Rough Riders were named for the loggers who worked on the Ottawa River, and Saskatchewan's were named for (I believe) the unit that Teddy Roosevelt led in the Spanish-American War, as there were some Canadians in the regiment.
Why does Martz still even have a job? I can't believe he'd be retained after the spectacular flameout the Rams look to be on the verge of completing this season.
