It said the most recent post in here was from Kotz, and now I find nothing. Is David Lynch directing my life? And if so, why is he doing a movie about this board. Ovciously someone's career is at a standstill.

"Croc Hunter" Steve Irwin Avoids Charges

I think we see it as both actually. The country-continent. I don't agree with this tall poppy syndrome being prevalent here at all. It depends on the person and the way they present themselves to the public. -
No, I really don't remember it. That's strange, I quite liked that movie too. And I normally have a pretty good memory with that sort of thing.

Did you just say it would be shit with you? You really need to raise your self-esteem level.

You mean that's not the way you're meant to shave? That explains people talking about shaving their pubes, I always thought it was so incredibly risky.

And I'm posting twice to just test that post counts are frozen in this folder. Why, who can say?

I don't even remember Tarantino in Pulp Fiction. When I first read that post about directors in their own movies and it said Tarantino in PF, I figured it must have been a mistake on his part for Reservoir Dogs. What does he do in it?

PESG, I think Crowe is quite a good actor, and I thought he was robbed of the Oscar for A Beautiful Mind. All I was saying was that in L.A. Confidential, Guy Pearce was the standout actor yet Russel Crowe (and Kevin Spacey, though he was already pretty famous) became break-out stars while Pearce had to get a few more roles before he could have any major fame.

Yes, I don't get all the Yoko hate. While I dislike her music and I don't like her artwork, she made Lennon the legend and to say she destroyed it is ludicrous. She introduced him into all these alternate thinking. Without her some of the greatest songs ever written wouldn't have been. Like her or not, she is not a legend killer and to say that is ignorant and it seems your way of thinking was "Everyone puts trash on Yoko, why don't I do the same?"

Obviously The Beatles, but I think everyone will name them. The Jimi Hendrix Experience and The Doors were both still good, but as you said with Nirvana and Joy Division, there were major deaths in those bands. Buddy Holly was still good when he died. Simon & Garfunkel were probably at their peak when they both split up. And I think Bruce Springsteen has had a pretty consistent level of quality. Can't think of many more though.

Mark Hamill in the Star Wars films. Anyone could have been in that and the films would still be awesome. He was just one lucky man. While he is by no means a brutal actor, Russel Crowe was lucky to have been discovered in LA Confidential. Guy Pearce was by far better in that film, yet was not discovered in the same way Crowe was.

Isn't this an urban legend?

I love that red x picture of Kylie.

Johnson, at least you're just saying "sarcasm" now. Because that whole "slaps knee" thing was beginning to worry me that you had been driven to masochism and that knee would be seriously bruised by now. Thank God you're giving it a well deserved rest from your (seemingly endless) beatings to it. Anyway, there are people here worse than Johnson.

Don't get her hopes up, I doubt she'll get to see Nicole Kidman.

Yeah, 2003 was so last year's news.

I'm about to go now to bring in the New Year. I hope everyone here has a wonderful NYE, and a great 2004.

I agree with NM. Nobody deserves it more than Madonna. Maybe Michael Jackson, but she's influenced more artists I would say.

That was a pun.

I am going to a club and be the main source of entertainment. Envy me.

I know people like that.

In honour of me you should all name your children Throatwobbler Mangrove.

Yes, that's like complaining that Finding Nemo wasn't just for kiddies and is accessible to all ages. By no means did I like The Hulk, but I feel your line of logic is strange and unusual.

I find it interesting that a few people have put Colin Farrell as breakout actor for the year when I actually put him down for last year in Minority Report. I am so ahead of the times. You are all so pastiche.
