  1. It was down for about ten hours. I tried to come on before going to bed, no luck. I got up and a little while later I tried it and still no luck. I've been getting errors like that often though when there are fewer posters on (about 5-6AM board time) and I was actually going to complain about it this morning but it became obvious that it was a whole-board problem.
  2. I don't think it's a permanent lockdown though. As for being here years from now, I doubt it. I have been here for three and a half years, I can't see myself still being here three and a half years from now, as I'd like to think that life has meant I don't have time for this anymore. But perhaps I will stay despite the business of life. In many ways I hope so, because I've enjoyed my stay here. But as for the same people posting here ten, twenty years from now, I doubt there'll be any substantial amount of people. It's hard for me to think of which people still consistently posting here who were posting when I first arrived on this board, aside from Damaramu and perhaps a few others I really can't think of many. And that's in a little over three years.
  3. Upon first reading of Dames Ross, I thought it said Diana Ross. *has a new idea for a gimmick*
  4. It's because those who are in their prime just aren't of the same quality musically. As live performers they too don't seem to be as into it as those older groups. Part of that would be due to the fact that the older groups have better experience than those who are new, but I'd say it also has to do with the music is more important to their generation than to the generation of current artists. The best act I've ever seen live is Prince though, so my opinion may not be the best to hear.
  5. Howard Dean? And I thought we'd reached our rock bottom with Human Jukebox.
  6. Mole, maybe you're just someone who may appear slightly annoying but as time goes by one begins to get used to them and grow to love ya, but it just doesn't come across over an internet board as we never get to completely know you and grow akin to your special nuances.
  7. New Me was Prince Paul. Eagan was just an incredibly annoying man.
  8. Neil Young recently performed in my area and received terrible reviews. Perhaps it was a one off bad show, but he was not very well received by the reports that I heard. At any rate, I'm going to Bowie February 21st. Bowie > all others mentioned combined.
  9. My personal theory: Johnson is nobody on this board (except for Dr. Phil OMG!BANPLZ~!!!!11). The only reason he said that was so as to stir up trouble post-humously. I mean, think about it, if Johnson was a poster here, Dr. Phil and The Brain, that means that when Darkness was here he was juggling four names without drawing attention to himself. Yes, this is just me drawing suspicion away from myself just so that when I reveal myself as THE BRAIN~! it is all the more shocking.
  10. Annoyance? Isn't that a bit of an understatement?
  11. I have to say, FrigidSoul, that is the worst attempt at spelling douche that I have ever seen. And I have seen quite a few.
  12. Johnson has just been banned.
  13. Ah, my big karaoke number was Like A Virgin. Did a little dance in the instrumental part, did the action for "touched for the very first time". Good fun, good crowd reaction. Like A Virgin > I Want It That Way.
  14. I know everyone says it, but I really don't like Nickelback. The singer's voice really grates me. Eric Carmen - Make Me Lose Control. EDIT: The last song mentioned was Nickelback, btw, on the previous page. Just so it doesn't seem as if I am randomly speaking about Nickelback for no reason.
  15. How is Michael Cole both the 8th best and 4th worst announcer? And JR is 3rd best? And in the overrated group, I think Big Show and Kane are both unfair. They've both worked extremely hard this year despite (in Kane's case) terrible angles and constant stopping and starting of their pushes.
  16. Badgers > Cow. The cow did nothing for me. What was that Weeeeeeee thing? It takes the cake.
  17. I did compilation albums for every year from (at this point) 1979-1995. Just found the hitlist for a certain year and picked songs off there I thought suitable for such a CD. For example, 1990: 1. MC Hammer - U Can't Touch This 2. Sinead O'Connor - Nothing Compares 2 U 3. Linda Ronstadt & Aaron Neville - Don't Know Much 4. Heart - All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You 5. Paula Abdul - Opposites Attract 6. Roxette - It Must Have Been Love 7. Jon Bon Jovi - Blaze Of Glory 8. Madonna - Vogue 9. Taylor Dane - Love Will Lead You Back 10. Alannah Myles - Black Velvet 11. Concrete Blonde - Joey 12. Kaoma - Lambada 13. Faith No More - Epic 14. The B-52s - Love Shack 15. Aerosmith - Janie's Got A Gun That's one of the weaker CDs really. But yeah, they have a retro attraction which makes them good for parties.
  18. LPYC, if you had a dime for everytime this was posted I think you'd have three dimes. I know some people may be that cheap, but I certainly am.
  19. It is "If one of those bottles should happen to fall". The first time I ever heard someone say "Take one down, pass it around" I thought it was the stupidest line I'd ever heard. Real men don't take it down and pass it around.
  20. I can't understand half the things that are being said in here. What the hell is Lightning Flik on that would allow him to post such bizarre and disjointed thoughts. He is strange and offputting.
  21. I'm not sure how to react to that.
  22. Knockin' On Heaven's Door. I like most of their songs. I would put their version of that in the bottom five covers I've ever heard (below Madonna's American Pie, even!), so screw that.
  23. What the hell is that guy on the left doing with the little kid?
  24. Reading over what is quoted, only Margaret Cho seems to have the extreme level of profanity that you speak of. All the others seem to be much less colourful in their language.
  25. Is Downhome saying he dislikes Cock Shots?
