Despite the fact that a Jermaine Dye homer cut it to a 3 run deficit, the Sox seem determined to choke it away after giving up 6 in the top of the 5th. This would have been the perfect time to take advantage of the Twins' seemingly inevitable loss, as they are getting raped by the Royals.

Sox 4, Indians 3 Royals 4, twins 0 Both in the top of the 4th. Let's hope things keep going the way they're going in those games.

Thanks for clarifying. I guess that, horrible though they may be, there's hope for the Royals winning since they've had a really good September. It's very unlikely, of course, but it's a chance.

It turns out I don't have to take it yet. I passed one 9 days after smoking before, so I'm hoping for a similar time frame in between smoking and testing. It's been 2 days so far.

Well, it's certainly no monumental collapse like the Mets, but it still sucks. The tiebreaker in head to head victories matters if both teams end up tied in overall record. But with the Chicago/Detroit makeup game in limbo, I guess you're right. Sorry, lot of stuff on my mind.

I was offered a job tonight. It's guaranteed, full time, and union. All I have to do is show up for the interview on Thursday and pass a drug test. However, as fate would have it, I smoked weed on Sunday. It had been a month and a half. I then smoked 1 bowl per day on Monday and Tuesday, I need a cleansing product so I can pass the drug test. I don't know of any true head shops around here. Pipes are sold at smoke shops, usually run by Arabic people, but those places don't carry what I'm looking for. Does anyone know of any chain stores where I can get a detox drink or something similar?

Eagle Eye Cherry? Come on, Czech! They did "Save Tonight" and the album sold a few million copies in a time when any halfassed alternative band could do that...and that's it. I don't listen to Blink much anymore since I pretty much grew out of them after high school, but they were one of the most popular bands in the world for years. And say what you will about Hoppus and Delonge's simplistic riffs, but Travis Barker is an incredible drummer, as others have stated. His work in Blink, +44, and his many side projects show that. Can someone correct the thread title?

I think it's silly to stop someone from getting on a plane due to smelling alcohol on them since they sell $5 mini-bottles on the planes themselves. If they're belligerent, sure. But otherwise, fuck it.

Well, season 8 premieres tonight. I'm very excited, but judging by this thread, I doubt there'll be much discussion.

You know how half my posts in this forum are asking for links to things I missed? Yeah, this is one of them. I missed Fight Night and TUF last night since I thought they were airing next week. I can't watch the replay of TUF on Spike tonight since it's on at the same time as the Smallville premiere, and I do not have a DVR. Does anyone have links to either or both?
