The big race I'm interested in is the Maryland Senate race. Michael Steele has been gaining in the polls and Bob Novak now has the race tilting his way against Ben Cardin even with Cardin still leading the polls by three points. I'm rooting for Steele but I sense that Cardin may still be able to hang on and get Paul Sarbanes seat. Of the Senate seats (since I could care less about the House) I see George Allen hanging on in VA, Bob Corker beating Harold Ford Jr. TN, John Tester defeating Conrad Burns in Montana, Menendez over Kean in NJ, DeWine and Santorum both lose, and Lincoln Chaffee pulling off a miracle and winning in Rhode Island to retain his seat. All told, by the end of the night the Democrats win the House, the GOP holds the Senate by a narrow margin, and the Democrats win control of more governorships and we get deadlock across America and in Congress.
