Discussion: Possible DC Universe Movies
Lil' Bitch replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in Television & Film
I wish WB (and other movie companies) would quit being pussies about the whole reboot bullshit. It would be easier if BETTER sequels were made and I just hope The Dark Knight will inspire The Man of Steel to be such. -
Joe Biden is a damn good choice for VP. He's a straight shooter who's got the foreign relations and judiciary experience. He'll mop the floor with the G.O.P. Veep candidate (Mitt Romney me thinks) in the debates. Things are definitely looking up for progressives although I think John Edwards would've been the VP choice again if it hadn't been for the affair issue.

Supposedly, one of the reasons that Cherry was released from the WWE was because management believed she wasn't thin enough to be a WWE Diva...
-
I don't think so. The only time I can think of where Luger squared off with Yokozuna again was in a tag title match at In Your House 2. (Allied Powers Vs. Owen / Yokozuna). IIRC Yokozuna pinned Luger.

Anybody else going to watch Death Race this weekend? Looks awesome.

This PPV's unforgivable!

What's the best match you've ever seen live?
Lil' Bitch replied to Chui's topic in General Wrestling
Either Angle / Lesnar from SummerSlam 2003 or Team Austin / Team Bischoff from Survivor Series 2003. Both were awesome! -
I think Orton was planned to return by coming out to interfere and help Batista, but given his accident, I think they just gave the win to Batista regardless, in clean fashion. Amazingly, IIRC, all those losses were clean too. I'd rather see Team Michaels Vs. Team Jericho. Preferably, 5 vs. 5

Rock of Love Season 3 is coming soon. Bret needs to give it up.

That about sums it up.

- Ric Flair to Tony Schiavone during an NWA interview

Yeah, those were all edited out in the intial DVD releases.

Let's Talk About: The Stars and Stripes Challenge 1993
Lil' Bitch replied to haws bah gawd's topic in General Wrestling
Yeah, that surprised me even as a kid. I was like WTF? when Lex of all people did it. I figured Crush was going to be the one to slam Yokozuna. -
NOES re-make casting updates
Lil' Bitch replied to LivingLegendGaryColeman's topic in Television & Film
According to Ain't It Cool News, Thorton getting the role is not true. -
Okay, I admit it. I was wrong. SummerSlam was good. My biggest surprise was while HIAC was MOTN, neither man bladed. I thought that was a nice change. Also, I'm hoping Cena's losing streak will leasd to that long overdue heel turn. I figure for Unforgiven, its going to be Punk / Batista again. Mysterio / Kane, Michaels / Jericho in a Street Fight or Last Man Standing, and Hardys / MVP-Benjamin.

To honor the 20th anniversary of SummerSlam (along with the release of the SummerSlam DVD Anthology), post your thoughts on the PPV tradition from 1988 to now. 1.) Favorite SummerSlam show overall? SummerSlam 2002 2.) Favorite world title match? Stone Cold / Undertaker, SummerSlam 1998 3.) Favorite mid card title match? Bret Hart / British Bulldog, SummerSlam 1992 4.) Favorite tag title match? TLC, SummerSlam 2000 5.) Favorite non-title match? Hulk Hogan Vs. Shawn Michaels, SummerSlam 2005 6.) Favorite segment? Mean Gene's botched interview with Rick Rude at SummerSlam 1989 7.) Things you hated besides Goldberg screwed out of winning the Elimination Chamber? Undertaker Vs. Underfaker going on last at SummerSlam 1994 8.) Random SummerSlam-related thoughts are also welcome.

BONUS ROUND 8. Least favorite SummerSlam overall? 1993. I hate 1995, but as well others have noted, it has more to offer than 93 did. I also have to say 2007. Other than Cena / Orton, the show sucked ass. 9. Least favorite match? Tie. Diesel Vs. Mabel, Undertaker Vs. JBL 10. Most Underrated SummerSlam? 2003. EC was a disappointment and I didn't care for Shane / Eric, but you had Angle Vs. Lesnar, a good fatal four way, a decent Kane Vs. RVD bout as well as the tag title matches with Dudleyz Vs. Resistance.

The card looks pretty bland, I'm not excited for this PPV at all. I just hope its better than last year's shitfest. Predictions: HHH - Hopefully, he'll do us all a favor, squash Khali in 5 minutes, nailing him with the sledgehammer and then finishing this suckass feud once and for all with the Pedigree. Undertaker - Duh. Punk - with GTS on JBL for the win. Cena - Batista defeated him to win the 2005 Royal Rumble and has a pinfall win over him from the NWO 2007 rematch on RAW right before WM 23. Cena also took the pinfall on the last RAW to lose the tag titles. I say Cena wins with the STFU. Tag Match - Beth and Santino as your new champs. Jeff Hardy - Swanton Bomb for the win. ECW Match - Piss break. As for Michaels, he says its not over and we get ANOTHER match with him and Jericho at Unforgiven in a Street Fight or something.

Could someone please explain to me what is so special about Kim Kardashian? Who is this bimbo and why do I see her name way too much?

So Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz are doing

Let me guess, a little kiss action and that's it right? -
I'd like to him make a return at the end of the Unforgiven PPV to get the return pop.

Has Foley ever wrestled Angle?

Changes on the SummerSlam Anthology SummerSlam 1988 - Don Muraco Replaced By Generic Theme SummerSlam 1989 - No Edits SummerSlam 1990 - No Edits SummerSlam 1991 - The Dragon Replaced By Generic Theme SummerSlam 1992 - Possibly some generic theme over the beginning of the PPV when they interview fans. I don't remember any music playing on the original version. SummerSlam 1993 - No Edits SummerSlam 1994 - At the beginning it shows a event name & date banner in the top left corner. Like they show on WWE 24/7. Looks like they just used a WWE 24/7 version. SummerSlam 1995 - They cut the sound out when the guy shills Diesel's t-shirt during the Smoking Gunns intro. They may edit the sound out on all other shilling on the Anthology but I've only skimmed through the set to find the most obvious edits. SummerSlam 1996 - The intro music is altered and a new voice over person is used. - Faarooq Asad Replaced By Generic Centurion Theme SummerSlam 1997 - No Edits SummerSlam 1998 - AC/DC - Highway To Hell Replaced By Generic Theme - Marvelous Marc Mero Replaced By Generic Theme SummerSlam 1999 - No Edits SummerSlam 2000 - Production Theme Song Replaced By Generic Theme - Steve Blackman Replaced By Generic Theme - The Undertaker Replaced By You're Gonna Pay Theme SummerSlam 2001 - X-Pac Replaced By Generic Theme - The Undertaker Replaced By You're Gonna Pay Theme (Obviously 98-01 has WWF logo blurred) SummerSlam 2002 - Ric Flair (Uses his 1992/1993 Theme. Bit stupid seeing as WWE made their own version of Also Sprach Zarathustra) - Edge Replaced By Edge & Christian Theme SummerSlam 2003 - Metallica - St. Anger Replaced By Generic Theme - Dudley Boyz Replaced By We're Comin Down Theme - Pans to the crowd before Goldberg tripping up after him doing his entrance punches & kick. SummerSlam 2004 - Rush - Summertime Blues Replaced By Generic Theme SummerSlam 2005 - Fat Joe (Feat Nelly) - Get It Poppin' Replaced By Generic Theme SummerSlam 2006 - Godsmack - The Enemy Replaced By Generic Theme SummerSlam 2007 - Kat DeLuna (Feat Elephant Man) - Whine Up Replaced By Generic Theme

1.) He was Rey Mysterio Jr. in WCW. Then the Jr. was dropped upon coming to WWE. (Same with Chavo Guerrero) 2.) I believe their only singles encounter was on the RAW IS EDDIE tribute show. They did face off again briefly a few later at SSeres 05 in the RAW Vs. SD main event. 3.) I think it was just Big Show just wanting to make an impact plus he didn't like either of them. And yeah, it was Hebner messing up the finish, the first Rock Bottom was supposed to be the finish. Angle talked about it in his "It's true!" book.
