Crush (Bryan Clarke) was on tour with Randy Savage when he was rapping. Clarke and Adams (Adam Bomb) are, as Kronik, doing indy shows now apparently.

I like Nash, and he seems to be into it more "for the hell of it" these days than wanting to play politics and be on the absolute top. I just hope he's thrown into things with 3LK or something rather than screw up the main event.

We've always known Hardbody Harrison was a pimp. Just remember those dreds and that freakishly small, but at the same time ripped, body of his.

They generally don't do great in the U.S., but even crap like Kingdom of Heaven tend to find enough audiences overseas to justify making more.

Simpsons Season 6 DVD Set Complaint
Placebo Effect replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in Television & Film
With the season sets for just about any show, I'll get them off of Netfix if I really want to see them. After that, if I still want to own it for the future, I'll just wait six months to a year and a half, and at that point you can often find the sets dirt cheap. -
I need this tape.

Coq Roq (That Burger King "band") question
Placebo Effect replied to cynicalprofit's topic in Television & Film
They just had a hugely succesful album and did a stadium tour. They're doing fine. -
So true. Bret Hart WILL end up working a storyline. I guarantee it.

I didn't notice the MOTHERBOY XXX until seeing that episode for the fifth time last night.

No one is really getting hit by this right now. As I said, I think it's just a note for the future so wrestlers and the internet fans don't get angry when some group with a big money-backer pops up and they're suddenly told not to work for them.

Tomorrow I'm going to a show that was created thanks to the cancelation of Hellfest. It's nine bands, but I'm only showing up to see Comeback Kid, Emery, Norma Jean (I'm dreading sitting through them), From Autumn to Ashes, and Rise Against. On the 26th I'm seeing Seether, Crossfade, and Dark New Day. Cold and Smile Empty Soul may be fun in September. The awesome Stellastarr* is doing a headlining show in early October. I'll go depending on the opening band(s). In October I'll be seeing Trapt, although I'll sadly have to hear Blindside first. Cypress Hill is also going to be here in October, but I'm not sure if I want to blow a Friday night on them. I'm thinking about these shows: Stratovarius/Into Eternity, Our Lady Peace, and Life of Agony/Brand New Sin.

I think it serves as more of a forewarning so that the wrestlers won't get their hopes up. What's bad for TNA is that groups like CZW and ROH don't have consistent distribution deals. But there's always a chance they'll be renewed, which would allow them to release older footage of course.

I read about this earlier. I'm still shocked.

I'm a huge fan of nu-metal and get at least partial enjoyment out of the shittiest of shit (Adema's second, incredibly whiny album for example). A lot of people hate Three Days Grace and Smile Empty Soul, but I find the former fantastic and the later more than listenable.

All Canadians secretly want to be Americans, and clinging onto Hogan's patriotism is the closest they'll ever get.

Everyone? When the WWE grew in ratings (1997-1999), Tammy was not involved with Chris. She was with him in ECW for a brief period of time, and then all of a month or so in WCW. I'm not saying this is a good idea, but only a small section of the audience associates them together.

HAHAHA! Wrestlers Re-inact Entourage.
Placebo Effect replied to CBright7831's topic in General Wrestling
I've been waiting to see that forever. Awesome stuff. What's funny is that DDP really wants to be taken seriously as an actor, so he probably signed the contract before realizing that the whole thing was a giant joke with washed-up wrestlers. -
WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot
Placebo Effect replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
Holy shit. I just sat here for something like twenty minutes reading all those with absolute glee. That's why I loved watching WCW. It was such a trainwreck that the trash on screen, and not the actual wrestling (most of the time), was the entertainment. -
Fuck, just when I thought TNA was improving within the last few months. Is TNA trying to turn Daniels into Jericho or something? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks to a distraction. What's the big fucking deal? I refuse to believe that something like this matters to the marks. As long as he's continued to be built up strong, it doesn't matter.
-
Meh. The cocky champion losing to the biggest joke in the company thanks to a distraction is a time honored tradition of building up a match. It's not like it's going to hurt his heat.
-
We'll see tomorrow if WWE.com posts a blurb about it.

Did somebody say posedowns and bench press contests?

I think he didn't come out to the music because that would've made him a face against Holly. I'm guessing it may be dead though. They'll continue to pay Meanie for four more months to stay away from a lawsuit, and keep Nova in that dead end gimmick as a Smackdown jobber.

As much as I love London, he is just awful on the mic and as an actor. Jimmy Jacobs looked tiny, and why he picked those tights is beyond me. Anderson rocks. Richards having to come out to his old video because he's facing another face is terrible.
