http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...l_arts_politics http://www.ajc.com/news/content/news/elect...nhunknowns.html I loved his character in the movie (also 'Born Losers' trashy but fun). Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Billy Jack released before any of Bruce Lee's movies made to the States? It was my first exposure to martial arts in movies and Billy Jack was the first true 'bad ass' to make an impression on me. Dirty Harry and Bruce Lee followed shortly thereafter. Too bad he appears to be a nutjob in real life.

Sadly I have to say Golf. I never would have said it a few months ago, but since a 14 year old girl scored better than several PGA players--who are grown men and the world's best--I have to question its validity as a sport. In a few years she'll be smoking half of these guys.

I remember this guy at Wimbledon a few years ago. Funny as hell seeing him moon walking on centre court. I'd like to see a video of the tackle at the Super Bowl...what if he had done a move on the Patriots player and avoided the tackle...dude never would have lived it down.

Why doesn't Justin have some backbone and stand by what he did... Lying about it being an accident is lame...the guy has no balls (big surprise). -

Why Dirk Pitt is Exhibit A on Why Hollywood sucks
Swift Terror replied to a topic in Television & Film
I'm also a fan of the books. The movie Raise the Titantic was shoddy filmmaking at best and completely missed the mark as far as what the Cussler novels are. I would love to see quality movies made from the books--they are right up Hollywoods alley, despite their slight lean to the right, politically (they don't deal with politics much IMO). BWT, I'm suspicious that Cussler is still actually writing the novels. There is a distinct difference between his earlier novels and recent ones. I think it is quite glaring. Perhaps he is cranking them so fast the the quality suffers. P.S. James Bond was actually featured in one of his novels from the early 80s. It wasn't one of his best, but it was interesting. -
Has anyone else seen moveon.org's commercial that aired on network TV last night (I forget what show I was watching or which network). It depicted an elderly person being tossed out of a window, having the rug pulled from under them, causing them to fall, and a few other things where they were hurt physically. The person committing these acts against the elderly was shown only below the knees, wearing cowboy boots engraved with the initials 'GWB.' Oh yeah, really good stuff. They are definately trying to be mainstream--this only makes the left in general look horrible. Moveon.org can no longer simply be dismissed as 'radical' and therefore are a legitimate target to be used to criticize the folly of the left. You won't be seeing any network commercials sponsored by 'ELF' or 'Earth First,' which are absolute crazy, insane radical environmental groups.

O'Neill should know that Congress passed the Iraq Liberation Act in 1998, stating that it was U.S. policy to pursue regime change in Iraq and establish a democratic government. How shocking that Pres. Bush should follow that policy and plan options. Favorite O'Neill line: "It was clear to me that there was a conviction that Saddam was a bad person and that he needed to go." (Breathless look on Leslie's face, followed by a slight moisture in panties.) Amazing, there was a conviction that Saddam was a bad person.

Some other Clark beauties: - he said that had he been President, he would have caught bin Laden by now - he believes in abortion up until the moment of birth On the current Administration, which he seems, oh I don't know, to not hold in high regard: And don't forget, Madonna has officially endorsed him...

Alright, when we get to Mars, let's finally get in contact with the civilization currently residing in Cydonia for Pete's sake. In a related story, Richard C. Hoagland, who believes there are remnants of ancient civivlizations on Mars and the Moon, has now claimed that the Mars rover has photographed metal objects and machinery on Mars... http://www.enterprisemission.com/spirit.htm

On a semi-related note: http://dailynews.att.net/cgi-bin/news?e=pu...cespacemosaicdc Fun fact of the day: The Soviets were the first to land a craft on the surface of Mars. It failed after 20 seconds. ('Mars 3' Orbiter, 1971.)

Well, I couldn't resist taking this a little further off topic. Here is another article that will make you want to wrap your head in duct tape to keep it from exploding. You may want to grab a dictionary as this is an 'intellectual' piece. http://www.opendemocracy.net/debates/artic...&articleId=1653

Speaking of not liking LOTR, I heard a guest on a radio show, Lloyd Hart (San Diego Progressives) who wrote a column saying that LOTR was racist because all the good guys were white and all the bad guys were dark-skinned. (Apparently he didn't notice Christopher Lee.) He said he and his wife (an Asian) were distressed that there were no light-skinned bad guys and no dark-skinned good guys. He suggested that perhaps Jackson could have made the Elves dark-skinned so as to include people of color. BTW, Dennis Prager also said that he loves the glorification of violence in the films, i.e. waging war against Sauron and the forces of Mordor. Hear that, Viggo? HEHEHEHEHEHE

Week 16 results for kkk/braves contests...
Swift Terror replied to kkktookmybabyaway's topic in Sports
Hey kkk (and Human Fly)--I see that you have Fly picking Cleve. on this thread, but I noticed on the prediction thread that Fly had chosen Baltimore. Just checking, maybe it was changed or something. Just for the record: Tampa Bay can bite my ass!! Fuckin losers. -
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3757111/ Alright, what do you think about it? Many people have opposed the idea of putting up another very tall building, thinking it would only be a nice big target again. Of course, it is far from becoming a reality, but it looks like the architects have reached a definitive design. Just go to the site for pictures.

On a side note: It is a testament to the incredible feat of the two Ohio inventors that modern day pilots failed to duplicate their flight.

Well, today IS the 100th anniversary of the Wright Bros. first flight and that had me thinking of the brand new Smithsonian Air & Space annex museum near Wash., D.C. (http://www.nasm.si.edu/museum/udvarhazy/) This museum has many aviation artifacts, including the B-29 Superfortress known as the Enola Gay. This plane is now the subject of protests by several groups--just as the Enola Gay exhibit at the Smithsonian building was several years ago. Throwing red paint at the plane? Aw, don't hurt the nice little planey waney. http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/7484979.htm http://www.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/getart...n20031214a6.htm http://www.zwire.com/site/tab1.cfm?newsid=...id=506035&rfi=6

Ok, I overracted, shouldn't have attacked you. I left myself wide-open for that comeback. (maybe I'm a latant disheveled-old-man lover)

Yes, being a right-wing nut, I want to fuck Saddam Hussein. Another VERY funny post.

Perhaps you need more time to consider. Well, I probably have them both beat--my fucking DICK got hard...
-
(looks like SideFXs has been dipping into his pharmacy cabinet) Art Bell Forever, George Noory Never! I think Ed Asner is involved--he wants to get Saddam to Hollywood so he can get a scoop and produce the TV movie.

I wish to hell Popoff would come out with an updated version of The Collector's Guide to Heavy Metal. Great book, but hasn't been updated since 1997.

I've heard everyone going bonkers over the BSC rankings. Well, how about questioning the 2 other polls? Maybe they are the ones that are fucked up. They're totally subjective after all. I'd like to hear more comments along the lines of "Oh man, can you believe those AP morons? Wow, they screwed up the poll, this is an outrage! Oklahoma should still be 1 or 2...USC doesn't deserve to be moved up to No. 1." I know where your coming from Dama, I had to put up with that being a Ohio State fan (I don't mind the criticism THIS year however; OSU was not much without Clarrett and Mich. was the better team).

Christmas trees seem to be an increasing target as well. The Dean of the law school of Indiana University removed the Christmas tree from the atrium after a professor and a few students complained. The complainers said they felt excluded.

1978 Pontiac Trans Am, Gold, 4 speed. While driving from N. Carolina to Ohio, fell asleep in the middle of the night on the highway, spun out into guard rail, totalled...an ignominious end to such a car.
