  1. The two most egregious on that list have to be Halloween and The Fly. So now Brundlefly will be CGI? great. I still don't get remaking Texas CSM and Dawn of the Dead. By the way, any thoughts on how 'House of the Dead' will be? I also hear 'Undead' rocks (from people who have seen it overseas). Zombies movies are making a comeback!
  2. As one critic pointed out, we'll most likely get THREE DVDs. Vol I, wait several months, then Vol II, wait several months, and then a Spec. Ed. with the two combined. Just another way to get more money, after all, we are going to have to pay $18 to $20 for 1 freakin movie, since they are calling this 1 movie, split in two.
  3. correction: should be Vichy France, not Vuchy. Churchill hated the guy (French boy Petain wanted to concede to Hitler, Churchill wanted to fight), yet another reason to make fun of the French.
  4. http://www.expatica.com/france.asp?pad=278...,&item_id=34732 I wasn't aware that Mumia has profound humanity. Well, she's a learned member of academia, I guess she's right. I'd love to see Ms Davis' syllabus for whatever class she teaches. And now for today's "this date in French history: 8 Oct 1940 Marshal Henri Petain (ruled Vuchy regime) says, "France must free herself from all so-called traditional friendships and enmities." LMAO
  5. I also heard that C Owen was going to be the next Bond, after Brosnan completes one more film. I've never seen the guy in any movie but he reminds of George Lazenby--I believe he is Australian as was Lazenby.
  6. PETA is usually worthy of heavy criticism--like when they compared the plight of chickens to that of the Jews in the Holocaust--but when it comes to animal torture they are right. G Gordon Liddy has had Ingrid Newkirk (PETA honcho) as a guest several times and has researched the abuse of animals by certain companies that engage in animal testing. His book 'The Monkey Handlers' details some of these abuses. For instance, there is a procedure where the animal must be kept completely still and yet must be conscious. So, these bastards use something called a 'Stereotaxic Device'. Part of this device has two hooks, which are inserted into the animals' eye sockets and clasp onto the bone therein. Further details on this are not necessary. As Liddy has pointed out, animal physiology is radically different than humans, etc. IAMS should be held accountable.
  7. There seems to be a lot of this going around-- A guy freaked out and severed his penis, scrotum and left hand: http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2002/09/19/...2054871762.html The funniest thing about the above story is that surgeons described the operation of reattachment as 'microsurgery.' I cannot find the story, but I read a few days ago about a drugged up dude who cut out his tongue and then his penis. He was apparently really tripped out on some kind of new fad drug. They say he will need a lot of psychological counseling...you got that right.
  8. Just a reminder of some of the headlines on that day. That is probably my favorite.
  9. Bears=17 pts New York Jets - THURSDAY GAME Buffalo Bills Jacksonville Jaguars Denver Broncos Cleveland Browns Detroit Lions Green Bay Packers Kansas City Chiefs Miami Dolphins St. Louis Rams Pittsburgh Steelers Dallas Cowboys San Francisco 49ers Seattle Seahawks Tennessee Titans Philadelphia Eagles - MONDAY GAME
  10. Type in Anna Kournikova in any search engine and you will get a gazillion hits, mostly celebrity porn (not that I'm into that kind of thing ). Some other babes in women's tennis: Ashley Harkleroad Elena Dementieva Old school babe: Gabriela Sabatini JC Ferrero, I think, wants to prove himself on hardcourts very badly. Look for him to put up a better run than most Euro clay courters.
  11. Put me down for da Bears, I'll take em.
  12. He went over many of his views, liberal included. I'm sure he had a few cracks on Republicans--in fact, Matt Drudge called him and brought up a remark he made about Limbaugh. Miller said sometimes he likes Rush, but often he is turned off by his histrionics. He said Judge Moore is taking the 10 Commandments thing too far. He defended Hollywood liberals, to a point. He said they are well-meaning and nice people for the most part.
  13. Dennis Miller had a good line about just this thing. He said give the judge a Derringer, and, seconds after slamming the gavel down, have the judge shoot the bastard himself!
  14. I will wait for the Spec. Ed., rent the current release for now. kkktook..., you know the deal, women rule, baby. Good job, you have a healthy relationship. BTW, I love these critics and others who are 'wondering if ROTK will live up to the first 2 movies'. Oh brother, come on.
  15. Dennis Miller hosted the Sean Hannity radio talk show today. I thought he was refreshing and hilarious. His views run all over the place, but he is always interesting. He supports Pres. Bush and he agrees that we need to preemptively strike the radical Islamists before they hit us--it's called the civil right of "not getting blown up." He got off many of his usual similes and obtuse pop culture references. Some good lines from today (wish I could remember more): "It's no longer the San Andreas fault, it's Gray Davis' fault." "If Clinton was any more low-rent, he'd be a spring break destination." "The only way the Clinton's marriage could be more obvious as a marriage of convenience is if a Slim Jim rack and Icee machine were installed at the foot of their bed." "Unless the middle eastern, shoe-bomber-looking cat with the black clothes and Converse is the drummer from the J Geils Band, I want his ass off the plane, profiling be damned."
  16. Right on, Clive should stick to the animals at the Zoo. I doubt if the ultimate destiny of humanity is to stop reproducing. I also doubt if Richard Simmons is representative of a highly evolved being.
  17. whoops, missed see that thread, didn't mean to be redundant. Bruce as Elvis, must see
  18. http://www.bubbahotep.com/ This movie looks killer. Hopefully it will get wide release this fall.
  19. On a side note, a prominent Zoologist, Clive Bromhall, has stated that homosexuals represent the "pinnacle of evolution" among humankind. Well, I agree, I for one would like to have the guys on 'Queer Eye for a Straight Guy' pick out my place settings. http://www.planetout.com/pno/news/article....te=2003/08/15/3
  20. Yes, it was 100% sarcastic parody folks. I thought that was obvious, I guess it hit a little to close to the truth...
  21. Michael Moore is a Big Fat Sloppy Tub of Gooey Crap Just adding to the debate...
  22. New York, New York This just in: the United Nations, as part of a comprehensive action to respond to an attack on their headquarters in Baghdad, Iraq, has called an emergency meeting of the Security Council in an effort to determine what they had done to anger the terrorists. "We want to open a dialouge with those involved in this attack. We want to assure them that we are not here to help the U.S., or any other member of the coalition, in their unjust invasion. We are here to help the Iraqi people, all the people," an unidentified UN official said. Others at the UN, speaking on condition of anonimity, have expressed the view that this is just an example of the terrorists lashing out at what they perceive as yet another in a series of intrusions by the West into their way of life. "We can understand their frustration," said one UN worker. "It is a fact that most of the UN presence here (Baghdad Headquarters) are individuals who look...Western. We will work through this. We will make it known to them that the UN is a diverse organization. We are not the enemy."
  23. I've been wanting to see this, being a fan of both Westerns and Costner. From these posts, this movie sounds like a throw back, like a Zane Grey novel brought to life. I for one appreciate a low-tech, non-CGI gunfight every now and then. I'm sick of handguns being fired sideways, behind the back, etc. Long live the Western!
  24. Adam Dunn is becoming known as "The Windmill" around these parts--he is batting around .165. Maybe he'll come around, who knows. The A-Team concept is good, now if only Dunn starts to play like an 'A' player.
