This is pure speculation on my part, but the primary reason the US is involved in Haiti is to prevent an even worse crisis than is already happening, thus preventing an exodus of refugees fleeing to the States. So in that sense, it is in America's best interest to bring back stability to Haiti. And, slightly off topic, I just know that there's going to be some movement for the invasion of Cuba, just like there was after the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, but that'll never happen.

Berkowitz is different from the others. Dhamer KNEW what he was doing was wrong. Berkowitz was a psychotic he was unaware of why his actions were wrong. Not saying he should be let go, just pointing that out. I've read articles and reports that suggest Berkowitz knew exactly what he was doing, and he played the psychotic disorder card in order to escape the death penalty, or at least to fool the system into thinking he was not responsible for his actions. The man was fucking brilliant.

Actually, yes I do believe it, to a point: I believe the people like Bundy and Gacy were predesposed towards killing, etcetera, but events in their lives intensified their murderous predispositions. Face it, everyone of us has had our dark impulses, these people just chose to carry them out.
