I have done everything there is to do on the internet.

I take a break, oh, whenever my life's going well and I'm too busy too waste my time with this crap. There's always an inverse corrolation between how happy and fulfilled I am with my life and how much time I spend on the internet. It's not so much that I "get bored with it" as much as I always find it boring and only spend a lot of time on it when I've got nothing better to do.
  2. If you thought that trying to bring in guys like Kane and Batista to be faces in ECW worked well, just imagine how well it would work to try to turn RVD heel right now. The idea's just silly; I can guarantee you that it wouldn't work.
  3. Has anyone else noticed that Cena's forearms look like they've been inflated with ten pounds of helium lately? It just looks completely unnatural. If he comes up positive when they do the roids testing on Raw, I certainly wouldn't be crying any tears.
  4. What does that even mean, "stealing moves". There was a first person to do a clothesline, a powerbomb, and a moonsault, but you don't get pissed off at every wrestler that comes down the pike that "steals their moves". If anything, you should be praising Punk for bringing new moves to an audience that's likely not familiar with them.

What is that noise that plays when..

You mean they used to use the cage lowering "music" when people walked to the entrance curtain? That's odd.
  6. Well, I just saw the show now. I don't care enough about it to watch it as it happens, but I do usually watch it fairly soon after. Anyway, I liked the show tonight, and I thought the crowd reaction was about as good of a wake-up call as you could possibly send to Vince on this whole issue. They were basically just letting him know that they really didn't want to see this revolving door Raw and Smackdown main event crap, and that there really was an audience that cared to see the ECW guys get pushed. I think all the "super smart marks" here who are saying the fans "shouldn't have showed up if they didn't want to see a toned down product" are just being silly. If it's worth $30 or so for them to see Dreamer, Sandman, Punk, and Sabu then why shouldn't they go to the show? They cheered for the stuff they liked and vocally let the bookers know what they didn't like. The real test is next week though. Do they start booking the show to center on ECW guys for good or do they stick with the formula that's obviously not working? If we see Big Show vs. Triple H next week or something, I think that's when it's time to really start worrying/give up.

Well, I got my first win on Heisman. I was planning on playing the 1st half of the North Carolina game on Heisman and the second half on All-American, but then I had a 10-3 halftime lead so I just stuck with it. I ended up winning 13-10 on a made FG with 0:10 remaining. My Georgia Tech squad's currently 7-3 (6-1), although they're still unranked, and won't make the conference title game unless Miami loses both of their final two games. BTW, that's kind of neat that you get invited to a better conference if you improve the program. If I knew that I would have been more likely to take a mid-major team. Do they ever do that for CPU teams or does it only happen for user teams?

    HBO Sunday Night Lineup

Yeah, I finally caught a whole episode of Lucky Louie tonight. That show's fucking hilarious. I think it's definitely the timing of the actors, as they seemingly just take basic ideas and execute them perfectly. Oh, and I agree that Louie's wife's hot as hell. A lot of it's the character, but the whole smart confident woman that's just a little bit slutty definitely works for her. Anyway, after one ep, the show has basically earned "record every week and watch almost immediately" status for me. Even though I liked Entourage quite a bit this week, I'd have to say I'm looking forward to the next Lucky Louie more than the next Entourage right now.

Spring college football practices are starting...

Well, Texas lost 4 first team all-Big XII defensive players in addition to Young. They'll probably be the best team in the Big XII by December, but I don't think they'll have developed well enough by October 7th to beat Oklahoma.

    I'm depressed out my mind

I'm depressed too. I just found out my DUI's probably going to go through, and I'll likely be on probation for a year. I was thinking things were going to be moving forward really well, but it's looking like that might not happen right now.

2006 USC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 2005 Oklahoma I mean, yeah, #2 might be a little high, but it's far from absurd. CFN puts quite a bit of effort into their predictions and they had them #1. The fact is there's no clear-cut #1 team this year. USC lost most of their offense, Ohio State lost most of their defense, Texas hasn't won the big one without VY, Notre Dame's untested, etc., etc. You could really make a strong argument for about ten different teams at the top spot.

This is subject to change before the start of the season, but here's my rough Preseason Top 25 at this point based on how good the teams are with nothing to do with their schedules: 1. LSU 2. Ohio State 3. Notre Dame 4. USC 5. West Virginia 6. Louisville 7. Florida 8. Michigan 9. Miami 10. Oklahoma 11. Arizona State 12. Texas 13. Auburn 14. Boise State 15. California 16. Florida State 17. Texas Tech 18. Iowa State 19. Georgia Tech 20. Georgia 21. Nebraska 22. Virginia Tech 23. Tennessee 24. Oregon 25. Iowa With schedules factored in, here are my BCS projections: National Title Game: USC over Louisville Rose Bowl: LSU over Ohio State Sugar Bowl: Florida over Notre Dame Orange Bowl: Miami over West Virginia Fiesta Bowl: Boise State over Iowa State

Well, I played Miami with the first half on Heisman just like I said I would. After the first quarter, I had a 3-0 lead, and I was thinking "Wow, Heisman's not so bad after all. Maybe I should finish the season like this." Then the Hurricanes lowered the boom on me. 6 turnovers (including 4 lost fumbles) led to 40 2nd-quarter points, and I found myself down 40-10 at halftime. I scored and scored quickly on every possession but one in the second half, but it just wasn't enough. I wound up losing 60-40. Now, my conference title hopes are looking very slim and god knows how long it will be until I'm actually ranked again. I'm no longer getting any votes in either poll, and I could easily end up in the Gator Bowl, even with a 7-1 conference record.

You must be about the seventh person to ask about the stories. I almost think it needs to be pinned at this point. (BTW, basically Lita likes gangbangs and golden showers. That's the gist of it.)

Still in Year 1 of the Georgia Tech dynasty, and I'm already in the process of changing over from All-American to Heisman. I was playing at Clemson (who's an A-), and I scored 23 points in the 2nd quarter to take a 26-7 halftime lead. Thinking "enough of this", I switched over to Heisman for the second half. When Reggie Ball went down in the 3rd, it was tempting to switch back, but I stuck it out and held on for a 29-22 victory. I'm thinking for the Miami game (next week, it will likely decide the division), I'm going to play the first half on Heisman, and then try to make a thrilling second-half comeback on All-American. I'm a little bit pissed off that I'm still not ranked considering I'm 5-2 with an A+ schedule, and the only undefeated team (in conference play) in the ACC, but that should all change with a victory next week.

My Top 50 NBA Players of All-Time

I don't think Kobe's getting enough credit here. He was a major part of part of three championship teams, and he's certainly right up there on a pure scoring and talent basis. I think he's a much better all-around player than Iverson and much better than Clyde Drexler. I'd probably bump Pete Maravich up a couple spots too if we're focusing on peak ability as opposed to just longevity. Willis Reed seems a little high me to me too, as I can't really see him higher than 10 on the centers' list. I think that one Game 7 leads to people remembering him as more of a long-term force than he actually was.

Going to a casino for the first time.

Slots are hella gay. If you're under the age of 60, there's no reason in the world that you should ever play them. Poker's the best way to gamble if you actually take the time to learn how to play, but otherwise you'll just get raped. If you just want to get your gamble on a little bit, then blackjack's definitely where it's at. There's a low enough house edge that you have a pretty decent chance of winning, and if you memorize basic strategy, and practice counting a little (it's really not that hard), there's no house edge at all.

Well, I started off my GT dynasty with an OT loss to Notre Dame, then left town for three days, so when I came back, I was naturally rusty and lost to Stanford as well. (Brilliant add to the schedule.) Since then though, I've been rolling pretty well. I beat Troy something like 54-6, then I beat Virginia 31-21, and lastly I beat Va. Tech 30-9. The VT game's actually got me worried a little that things might get too easy since they were an A, but I did get a lot of breaks (3 takeaways, no giveaways), so I'll just assume things are fine for now. I was ranked until I lost to Stanford, and I was kind of pissed to see that the VT game didn't even bring me back to the "receiving votes" stage, but whatever. One thing I was wondering is how you check your national rank when you're not in the Top 25 without actually starting a new game. Is it still possible? You used to just be able to hit select on a game that you hadn't played yet, but that doesn't work any more. Oh, and that pitch thing is interesting. I'd been reading their little comments, but I certainly hadn't been paying attention to what they said. I should have figured that it would be useful at some point.

    TSM Fantasy Baseball 2006

Well, Pujols and Soriano are pretty much automatic (the #1 and #2 players on Yahoo this year), even if they do take away a couple of early picks. After that, it's up in the air. I've got Derek Jeter (the oldest player under consideration, and initially a third-round pick), Bill Hall (youngest player under consideration, has really been breaking through the last couple months), Aaron Harang (taken in the 11th round, one of the top 35 players on Yahoo this year), and Bronson Arroyo (taken in the 16th round, having a real breakout season as he's currently ranked #52. If I were to say where I'm at now, I'd say Jeter's probably definitely out, and it's between Hall and the two pitchers. Harang's had better stats than Arroyo and he's a shade younger, so I'd say he'd be in at this point, and Hall and Arroyo are really too close to call. With the stars I've had this year, I almost wish this was one of those ridiculous six-keeper leagues, where you can keep all your stars and the bad teams are just screwed.

Actually, that's another positive working for USC this year that I ignored. Leinart was never that good to begin with (the most overrated player I can remember in college football since I started watching), and I wouldn't be surprised at all if Booty or Sanchez is better next year. I still think the losses in the backfield and on the offensive line will be hard to replace, but I'm sure USC has lots of talent stepping into those positions. As for the Big XII, I agree with Dama that Texas won't be all that great this year. Vince Young took a program that had been mired in medocrity for years and single-handedly carried them to the national title. It would be crazy to think that there wouldn't be a drop-off this year. I say OU beats them this year, and wins the tiebreak for the division title after dropping a game to Texas Tech. If I were to predict a conference winner though, I'd have to take Iowa State. They're damn near unstoppable when Stevie Hicks is healthy, and they've got almost all the talent from last year's team back.

I don't see how anyone can make an argument that USC is the best team in the country talent-wise. It's not even close. It's not like they just lost Leinart, Bush, and White. They lost most of their offensive line as well, and their defense was never really a strong suit to begin with. However, with that being said, I wouldn't be surprised to see them finish the regular season undefeated. Remember all those close calls they had last year? What did they have in common? They were all on the road. Well, guess what. This year, all those tough games are at home. The four toughest teams on USC's schedule (Oregon, Cal, Notre Dame, and Arizona State) all have to come to Los Angeles. The toughest road game they play all season is at Oregon State. I was originally really high on Ohio State as well, but with only 11 starters coming back, I'm not so sure. I kind of have the feeling that all the advancements they make on offense will be undone on the defensive side of the ball. Add in the tough Big Ten schedule, and I see them picking up at least one loss, maybe two. This could easily change before the season starts, but if you pressed me to pick a national cahmpionship game right now, I'd have to take USC over Louisville. I don't think the Cardinals have what it takes to win it all, but they do have a very favorable schedule with both Miami and WVU at home, and I could easily see them getting through the regular season undefeated.

Yeah, that's one thing that I'm pretty good at too. If I actually get a D-lineman before the play, I get the jump close to half the time. However, since you can't switch players in both directions pre-snap, if I have to move my safeties or linebackers up, they usually get the play off before I can switch. Oh, and what's really annoying is when you get the jump perfectly, go in for what looks like an automatic sack with your hulking DE, and then get stiff-armed to the ground by some skinny white QB who follows up by throwing a TD. As for the Dynasty, I forgot to save, so I took one more shot at Temple. I was down two scores in the fourth again, got first and goal on the one, and scored a TD only to get it reversed on challenge, (WTF! They don't have challenges in college football this year, do they?), got stopped three more plays, and then when I blitzed looking for a safety the next play, gave up 100-yd TD. Anyway, I'm officially done with the Louisville dynasty, so I think I'm going to start a new dynasty with Georgia Tech on All-American. Running the option with Reggie Ball kind of intrigues me, and if I change Samford to Stanford, the schedule shouldn't be too easy. Plus, they're my favorite team, so that's a bonus.

Well, I'm not sure how well this dynasty's going to work for me. Playing as Louisville, my second game was against Temple. I was down 24-10 with under a minute left in the game and no timeouts remaining. Got downfield for a TD, recovered an onside kick, and then scored the tying touchdown with 0:07 remaining. (For some reason this only swung the momentum to even, I'd qualify that as a glitch.) Anyway, I lose the coin toss going into OT so I have to go on offense first. I pass it down to the 3 where I have first and goal. A goal line running play is stopped for a loss of two, and then on second down, I throw to my receiver offscreen who looked like he was uncovered, but actually had a corner right on him to pick the ball. Temple goes about ten yards forward, and then kicks the winning field goal on first down before I can even take the ball away. Sooooo infuriating. To make that kind of comeback and then still lose. Anyway, I don't know how much longer I can continue this Louisville dynasty if I can't even beat Temple. I'll probably go 1-10 or something and get fired at the end of the year before I even get the chance to see the fruits of any recruiting efforts.

    NCAA Football 07

Well, after much deliberation, I finally decided to start my dynasty with Louisville on Heisman since the schedule is backloaded with the tougher teams, and I figured I might be able to coast by on talent until I get used to things. So far, it's looking pretty shaky though as I lost my opener to Kentucky, 31-14. I actually had the lead 14-7 with under a minute left in the 3rd, so I'm not getting dominated or anything, but I have the feeling it's going to be a disappointing season and a quick firing by year two or three. I can't even imagine how ugly the Miami game's going to be.
