I didn't like the beatdown myself. It took way, way too long. This push for Cena is pretty ridiculous.....I mean, Finlay and Regal can destroy Lashley and Batista in like a 1/10 of the time it took to knock down Cena. It reminded me of that whole Shawn Michaels/Spirit Squad thing where he'd get destroyed and then just pop up, fresh as a daisy for a few minutes before he was cheap shotted and knocked down again. I know it's 'sports entertainment' but try to bring just a small sense of realism please.

Big Vis must not really love her, he didn't even come help. What a jerk.

I agree 100%. Kurt Angle can't sell at all and it's one of the main reasons I don't think he's nearly as good as a lot of people give him credit for. As far as HBK goes, seeing him hop up after being destroyed by the Spirit Squad for 5 minutes was way more ridiculous than anything RVD has ever done.

No, I watched it, unfortunately. I have to agree, definitely a backyard fed. I can't buy a bunch of dudes at about 130 lbs in t-shirts wrestling in the grass as a legit federation, sorry.

Right, b/c Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels are known for their great selling

I live in St. Louis and I heard a little thing on the radio regarding Fozzy. There is supposed to a RAW party at Pop's, followed by Fozzy afterwards. I'm guessing the paper has 8pm b/c that's when the RAW party would start here.

This is his reasoning for saying SmackDown! has better wrestlers? Charlie Haas is very good but the other 3 suck ass in the ring. The last line is pretty funny as well. I mean, Booker T is like 40 and has been around at least twice as long as Angle. To say he's on the verge when he's clearly at the end of his career is a joke. This interview has to be at least partially kayfabe. There is no way Angle can honestly believe he's half as good as he says. Before all the neck stuff, he was definitely up there. I agree with PLAGARISM! though, he can't sell for shit. He's very good in matches with very good wrestlers. When has he ever taken a bad wrestler and made him look good? (I'm honestly asking)

My question isn't whether or not what CZW did was right or not.....my question is why was there a kid at a CZW show? That's some good parenting there.

I know Spike took over for Human in the Fire Pro series. When you say timing of button presses, is it similar to that, with the extra step added in (grapple to move, instead of straight to the move)?

That's why VPW 2 just might have been the greatest video game ever. I do have VPW2........it's an incredible game, but I don't want to dust off the N64 for it, heh. The new moves are nice as well, another reason I've had a want for a new wrestling game (don't mention the SmackDown! series.......I hate the arcade-y feel to it.) If you don't already have a PS2, I found that this site would be a good place to pick up a new one to play imports and such: http://www.xmodd.com/

Any game that lets me slap an Anaconda Vice on someone is good by me. My only wish is that it had Dragon's Gate, Osaka Pro, and Michinoku Pro on it as well. I understand those are considered indies there though. I'll definitely be getting this game regardless.

Cool/Historic Stuff You've Seen Live

- Owen Memorial RAW - Survivor Series 1998? The one where The Rock won the belt and became part of the Corporation. - The RAW when Foley became Cactus Jack after being Pedigreed through the table by HHH. I believe he "became" Jack after the show, off the air though. -
I can barely make sense of this but I'll try anyway. Spanky didn't get fired, he quit, there actually IS a difference. Shawn didn't have only Bret, he pulled out pretty good matches with larger opponents as well. London has a moveset that would work with pretty much any size opponent so if given any opportunity at all, I think he could be moved towards the top of the card. I have yet to see his promo skills as well, so I'll wait to pass judgment on that.

I'm not positive but it looks like Satoshi Kojima in a half Sasuke mask. It even has orange and black as it's colors, so yeah, most likely Kojima. EDIT: That guy on the left looks like Kaz to me. Same build and everything. "no way they have him with both tag titles under two identities" This is Keiji Mutoh booking still right?

I saw "Major Japanese Star" and thought that, you know, it'd be a major Japanese star......not Kendo Ka Shin. This guy sucks, but then again, I'd hate to see what they'd do to one of my favorites....

Just to clear this up for sure.........it's not a Battle Royal, Chavo is in it, and the winner is the champ. From Wrestlemania.com: Open Cruiserweight Elimination Match Just days after Mr. McMahon announced three blockbuster WrestleMania matches, Paul Heyman fired back with a WrestleMania mega-match of his own. According to the SmackDown! General Manager, Chavo Guerrero will defend his Cruiserweight Championship against any cruiserweight willing to participate in an Open Cruiserweight Elimination Match. Considering the fact that many of the participants may be a mystery to Chavo, this will undoubtedly be a near impossible hill for him to climb. Can Chavo leave Madison Square Garden with the belt?

GTA stole their font from Starsky and Hutch so it's ok. On topic, seriously, what has Cena done to deserve a DVD? Ooh, he raps......I mean, he's mildly entertaining and all but he still needs tons of work in the one place where it SHOULD matter, the ring. Why not make a DVD for say, Chris Jericho? He's wrestled in 3 federations that WWE owns footage from. Then you can have your amusing promos AND good wrestling.

The point he's trying to make is that Shawn isn't the same anymore. He's found God and he's serious and all that. He's not HBK anymore (didn't he say that when he first came back?). I'd say changing his theme once in the past 13 years wouldn't be considered "constantly". Flair, he's still the Nature Boy b/c well, his character hasn't changed in 30 years now, hehe.

The Proof that's in Def Jam: Vendetta isn't a real person. THIS Proof I'm guessing is from D-12, Eminem's best friend. He's a pretty damn good freestyler too. I think this is a stupid idea b/c any half-way decent rapper could beat Cena badly.
-
I'll buy that......he wasn't very trained. I can't stand when they take guys with possible talent and bring them up way too early. Perhaps they figured wrestling guys like Juvy, among all the other great cruiserweights in WCW, would be a good way to make him better? Phoenix splash.......yeah, basically a moonsault twisted into a 450.
-
Psychosis or Psicosis or Nicho or whatever the hell name he goes by.......either way, I want him back. I know he'll be used like crap, but hell, seeing him get a few moves in is better than what I see from him now. Ugh, no Blitzkrieg. That guy blew. Sure, he could do a Phoenix Splash but couldn't wrestle for shit. I realize that someone will say how he's better than a hoss or something but still.......a bad wrestler is a bad wrestler, no matter what size.
-
Tiger Jeet Singh makes Bradshaw look like the real Stan Hansen, instead of the cheap imitation he tries to be. This is true..........but Texas has Mark Henry......which is pretty damn close to Jeet.....ok, Tiger Jeet Singh is possibly the worst wrestler ever. I can't battle that, even with Mark Henry.

WWE News: Randy Orton, Edge, Spanky, More

If you call laying on the ground for 5 minutes to blade, Hardcore I saw that he was knocked out by a RVD kick......that's why I thought he was laying there. -
Was the Honky Tonk Man ever face? If so, when, b/c I don't remember it. I know the Warrior was heel.....he was the Dingo Warrior in WCCW. What about Lex Luger or Barry Windham? Did they ever switch sides? (ok, I'm joking there.....don't actually answer that)

Finally........I hope it works out for him. It almost makes me forgive him for cutting the skunk mullet. I did see that Tenzan talked of fighting Hogan for the title. Personally I wouldn't mind this if he was to actually win. As far as GOOD challengers, Kojima would be a perfect choice. Play up the whole "knows him better than anyone" b.s.
