  1. At least golf has nice shots sometimes. I've never understood the appeal of the NFL Draft, it's so long and boring. It's like watching paint dry
  2. I know, I never got why Christopher Walken didn't like Ashley.
  3. But he also didn't win at No Way Out and Armageddon and mentioned those
  4. I believe mike the admin once said that death threats weren't allowed in nhb because someone said something about wildpegasus and he got a phone call. But I don't think anyone takes him seriously. For the most part, the edict in NHB is anything goes
  5. I always believe that anything should be allowed in NHB.
  6. >_>
  7. This is the Chocolate Socket, he's allowed to do whatever he wants. I was completely unaware of this Bob, thanks for pointing that out for me! I didn't tell him to stop. I was merely pointing out that once again he's back to being his old self. You're welcome! And I was saying that him agreeing to tone down the gimmickery doesn't apply to Chocolate Socket. This Marney-EHME debate is awesome, keep it up
  8. The same thing happened on Saturday Night Live
  9. This is the Chocolate Socket, he's allowed to do whatever he wants.
  10. I voted don't be afraid to step in unless absolutely necessary. It'd be good to have one of the more level-headed mods like Czech moderate the folder though. Political debate is going to get heated, that's the nature of the beast. We should encourage discussion and debate, not discourage it.
  11. Well you can't expect long matches tonight given the time constraints.
  12. Good for Czech, he made the right call. It felt weird reading the campaign thread and not seeing BO Hussein
  13. Saying that we can't complain is a pretty dumb argument. As pointed out, many of us live or work in areas that require a car, and you could not live day to day on just a bike. No, it just makes you look ridiculous
  14. Fixed. Not really. Howard Dean could probably cut a helluva wrestling promo if he wanted to.
  15. Antonio Pittman is on the Rams.
  16. It was Jarrett. There was a Steiners-Benoit/Mongo match that explained the angle in more detail.
  17. I thought he just linked to it and even said NSFW. And no, it was hilarious. Almost as funny as the Ashley thread
  18. It wasn't Debra-centric. Debra was involved in the feud simply to further the tension, but she wasn't the centrepiece of the feud. No, it wasn't. Austin kept stunning Rock, but couldn't put him away, and Rock left the final message by laying him out with his own finishing move. It showed that Rock couldn't be beat, and that Austin needed to sink to do everything he could to win the WWE title. Remember that face to face interview, Austin said: I need to beat you Rock, more than anything that you could imagine. He didn't get his ass handed to him- he kicked out of the Stone Cold Stunner, and Austin only survived Rock's finishers because of interference. Austin only was able to win after he destroyed with The Rock with chairshots.
  19. I still contend that Bulldog lifted his shoulder up at 2, and thus is the uncrowned champion
  20. She's still banned.
  21. I think the past few years have proven that "big names" don't open movies like they used to. Would you have guessed the success of Superbad or Knocked Up? Forgetting Sarah Marshall had that sort of buzz growing over it, so it seemed to be a good bet for a big opener, while The Forbidden Kingdom had squat. Besides, when does Jackie Chan ever get a big opening when he's not partnered up with some comic relief? This is a surprise. You're wrong. If most pre-release indicators point out ot Forbidden Kingdom being #1, then it being #1 is not a surprise. Jackie Chan can't open movies on his own, but there's no reason to be surprised that a movie starring the two biggest Asian imports wouldn't do that well at the box office. It had the Li-Chan teamup, plus a PG-13 rating and a family friendly premise that could appeal to all audiences. Forgetting Sarah Marshall was an R-rated movie about a guy getting over a breakup. Superbad's opening? I think the fact that it hit above 30 was a surprise, but not that it had a big opening weekend. Buzz had been building all summer, with advanced screenings causing word of mouth, and Knocked Up doing so well only caused more interest in Superbad. Knocked Up's success? Absolutely. It opened at the perfect time, when there were no comedies in the marketplace, and the month of May saw one big budget blockbustet after another. It was the follow-up to a movie that grossed $109 million and had tremendous word of mouth, had a relateable premise, and a very effective marketing campaign.
  22. Forgetting Sarah Marshall had no chance of doing $30 million. The movie had no big names, and this was a movie about a guy getting over a breakup, not the best sell.
  23. Really not a surprise. Most box office analysts has Forbidden Kingdom defeating Sara Marshall at the box office
  24. redbaron should wait two months and fight his kid
  25. Obama's going to be in New York that night, so he won't be there.
