It's because that's when studios choose to release chick flicks basically, it's spring time, so it's a good time to do movies about romance. Romantic comedies usually do well anyway.

You would think they would've just given up and put him in the ads. No one really cares though, the top 10 is all that's necessary.

Baby Mama had a pretty diverse cast, which I'm sure cost some $, and even though it takes place in Philly, it was filmed in New York. Then comes all the other expenses associated with a big-screen picture.

Baby Mama being #1 really wasn't a surprise. Some box office tracking had Harold and Kumar possibly being #1, but given it's built-in audience, it would've had to have a huge Friday night. Harold and Kumar was $4 million away from being the second sequel to outgross its predecessor in its opening weekend. And as always, posting the top 21 isn't that necessary

I love the NBA Draft. Watch it every year, start to finish, even though I don't watch much NBA anymore. It goes by very fast, lots of unintentional comedy, and the second round rules. Regarding Memphis- they have a long-term lease with the city, and won't be moving for a while. Which is a shame, since I don't think the city has any Grizzly fans, especially with the resurgence of the Tigers

Ratings aren't really that important to the overall scheme of things, so it's not something to worry about too much. And have tournaments had a positive effect on ratings before? Do we know if they're rating draws?
