Did Matt Young ever pay you a visit? -
VX said if I said As TSM Omubdsman one more time, he'd replace me with Brody. I did, so he did.

This is why I don't like the NHL salary cap. And the cap going down in 09 or 10 is bullshit. How can you expect to build a team knowing the salary cap is going to be reduced? What a joke.

Who throws a shoe.....honestly?

Newman was in it!

The Globes not recognising it for Best Drama and Best Director doesn't help its chances. Harvey Weinstein buying the Reader nomination shows he's making a very strong push for the Oscars. Right now I think the 5 will be- Benjamin Button Slumdog TDK Milk Frost/Nixon. I don't believe there is a 2008 frontrunner yet. I wouldn't call winning three to be "sweeping" the NY film critics. Last year, No Country won 4.

The controversy over Matt Young's campaigning was funny stuff.

Maybe Marvin will start boarding hard?

We could use it for March's Worst Poster Tournament

I actually thought Iron Man had a lot less action then most comic book movies. If anything, it almost moved too slow at times. It was more about what it means to be able to do good in the world. Just because a movie is sold as a popcorn flick, doesn't lessen it in my eyes. I don't disagree that Burn was a fun little movie, I just think Iron Man was a lot better movie and more entertaining.

I have Iron Man ranked #24 for 2008. And you voted for Burn After Reading, which while a funny movie, was not one of my 2008 favourites. I have it ranked 37th.

I don't think Nighthawk and I would get along too well -
The announcers talking about Losman wanting to put together a highlight reel for teams is just funny.

Holy shit, that's fucking crazy

Transporter was a solid Statham vehicle. The girl was really annoying, but the stunts were fun.

They had been working on it since 1999. The Friday average was $58, the weekend average was $400 something, because it had a better than expected Saturday. I saw it and it was pretty bad. The last 20 minutes are kind of cool, but nothing happens for the first hour. And no one disguses their voice at all.

Because there wasn't one at of 3pm in the afternoon is why. Looks like there was a good reason for it too. Fuck, I hate WWE nowadays. Why? While they have their missteps and the usual wrestling bullshit, I felt the booking has been pretty good recently. I really like what's going on in the Smackdown title scene, and Jericho's heel run has been great

I find it funny that you guys took the position way more seriously than I did. I only got the title b/c I agreed with the Vanhalen banning to the shock of Czech. But then Vanhalen's banning was overturned. Good for you, Cheech! I thought a TSM Market Research thread was unecessary. Also, did you do anything with the results? I don't mean that as a slight, I'm actually curious. The mega-thread discussion went nowhere, sicne you screwed up the polling. Plus, you said you hate hate hate megathreads, when the sports folder, where you primarily post, is nothing but mega-threads! I never thought someone would take something at this board more seriously than I did, but I was wrong. Because for the most part, I think this message board is doing fine, and there aren't many changes needed. And no one complained to me specificially about changes that needed to be made. Also, one of the reasons I complained was to generate discussion and see if others agreed. With public account (Which I never wanted to be spun off into its own thread) it seems that some people do agree with me. When asked, I weighed in on my thoughts, which is what an ombudsman is supposed to do. And I used to forward my views on message board changes. If you didn't like the job I did, then I said I'm sorry. Go take it up with Brody what you'd like to see done.

No need to crap on someone for starting a PPV thread. This def looks like a filler PPV. The only match I'm looking forward to is Punk v. Mysterio

I love that the OAOAST is still around, especially since AS was banned in 2005

I've been tested, though next time I'll have the tester read my postings on an internet message board, initially geared to discussion of professional wrestling. I've already explained that before. I didn't get many officialquestions or complaints, so I decided to tweak it a little to what I wanted it to be. I looked into what GrungyPunk said, and I expressed my opinion on the posting status of BrusierBrody when others complained about it. That and I knew it wasn't a serious position. If that made you or others think I was a shitty ombudsman, then I apologise.
