I think it worked better than the one post gimmick. That is one of my complaints about it, yes. I also don't think mods and admins should hide behind a shared account. I don't have autism. I thought I did once, but I don't. That's CWM. Not liking Public Account is not really a want or a need. As I said here, there weren't many complaints to deal with, so I used my ombudsman platform to keep the staff in check and to question any changes or things that seemed a bit off.

The gay marriage stuff would've been a bigger issue had Milk come out before Prop 8 and influenced the election in some way. I think Milk will get a Best Actor nod for sure, but I'm not completely sold on winning Best Picture.

I'd say Marley and Me is more of a family movie, than a children's movie. And CBright should've spoiler tag that. I understand, I think the mods should be more willing to move posts from the comments thread to the actual threads.

I haven't heard any talk of Milk getting Best Picture- I think Slumdog, Revolutionary Road and Benjamin Button are front runners. Wall-E won't get a nod. They created the Best Animated Feature category so they wouldn't have to nominate the films for Best Picture, yet still give them acclaim.

But that will ruin the Oscars. It's not an award show for the most popular movies of the year, but the best ones. That is what the MTV Movie Award are for. And they don't even get that right most of the time. I tend to think the Oscars generally do a pretty good job.

If I remember correctly The Pit was created as a response to the first banning of MikeSC in May 2005. It was originally called J*Wing as it was created by Jingus, who wasn't necessarily looking to create a conservative board, just one where posters could express their views without fear of being punished. The banning of Mike galvanized many of TSM's conservatives, who saw Mike's banning as proof of a liberal bias on the part of the TSM staff and took to the new board after Mike began posting there, including Marney, who had left TSM the previous summer after a blowup with TSM admin Josh. On the other hand, only a few of TSM's more prominent liberals joined the board, thus creating the ideological imbalance which persists to this day. I defer to any of those more well-versed in Pit matters on any of these points. Yea, this is about covers it. It was mainly that the CE posters felt they couldn't get a fair shake since Mike was banned for no good reason (arguing Montreal with HTQ) and Josh's response to the criticism was that everyone was stupid if they didn't agree with the banning. Slapnuts being made a mod didn't exactly disprove Josh's point. Why is it some big secret?
