  1. Doesn't prove your point at all. College basketball players sleepwalk through tons of games too. Look at Memphis in the last couple weeks of the C-USA season.
  2. I think they're not used to teams taking it to the basket. It's going to be a tough 8 minutes, since without Evans running the point, it's not a good sign. I don't think Willie Kemp has made a basket since January Roburt Sallie is just awesome. All year he's come in and hit the key 3, yet Coach Cal never gave him much playing time. I never understood it.
  3. I'll say it: Memphis looks AWFUL. The time for sleepwalking is over
  4. It's early. Memphis often sleepwalks through Conference USA games, and then they just turn up the defence and away they go. Not concerned. I don't get why I'm getting LSU v. Butler. Come on CBS, give me the Tigers.
  5. It sounds like Reid has a lot of issues throughout the years.
  6. I was at that show. It was hilarious. Big Show seemed to take it all in stride and enjoyed it. Batista doing his usual spots despite getting nuclear heat was great. I also was at Lesnar v. Goldberg. The crowd HATED Lesnar. He looked so sad.
  7. I hope, in anger, Neeson shot the doctor's wife.
  8. In EHME's defence, The Pit closed his call out thread. How is he supposed to feud?
  9. Most wins, soon to have most shutouts, 3 Cups, 4 finalists, 4 Vezinas, 4 Jennings trophies, 1 Calder trophy
  10. What makes the greatest goalie in history such a "weak ass"? Brodeur's not a weak-ass. Yea, they were just ten back recently. Now they're three back. Burrows' goal against Carolina is going to define the season.
  11. Does DarKnight even post here anymore? I haven't seen any of his posts for a while.
  12. What was so strange (but yet not really the more I think about it) about it all was how so little the people responded to Cena in the skit. Like SNL was just expecting the audience to go apeshit once they zoomed in that it was Cena or something. Instead I think I heard one person react. In all fairness to Cena, the crowd barely reacted to Tina Fey either. She even paused expecting an ovation but didn't get one. The crowd was pretty dead the whole show. It's because they told the audience the skit was a pretape, even though the Tina portion was live
  13. I went to Devils v. Blackhawks and saw Martin Brodeur break the record for most wins by a goalie, AND Patrick Elias become the new all time leading scorer for Devils history. All for only $25. It was awesome

  15. Because they picked Memphis as the school they wanted to play for, and it's easier, for me, to root for them. The whole everyone leaves early thing is kind of overblown. At most it's 1-2 kids per team a year, and that's only on the elite teams. Also, quote two is simply not true. Memphis lost two underclassman last year, but CDR left as a junior. Since the Tigers became dominant, they've had only four players leave as underclassman and one, Darius Washington, kind of sucked. Calipari graduates a majority of his players on time. This year, three players are graduating, and they've won more games than anyone else in college history. I can't really talk about other schools, I only know the ins and outs of, and care about, Memphis. I disagree. Coach Cal has always encouraged his players to go to the NBA if they could be a first round pick. I'm for it too. If you can go and get the guaranteed contract, there's really no reason to stick around. Because I don't care about professional basketball and a person's ability to play professional basketball while I watch a college game. Antonio Anderson has been tremendous for the Tigers in his four years here, I don't really care that he's not going to the NBA. As long as he helps Memphis. A majority of Memphis games I just sit in front of my computer and get updates every :30 seconds from Yahoo!. As I said before, I like that the game is more wide open, and it's easier for me to get into a game and form an emotional attachment to the game. The sloppyness makes it more exciting.
  16. I was at the Devils game tonight, and it was just insane. Total playoff like atmosphere the whole way through. The crowd stood the last two minutes, about to shit themselves hoping they'd hang on.
  17. Every Cowboy Numbers insult should be accompanied by the Jim Halpert face. Part of the reason I like college basketball more is that my team, Memphis, is one of the best in the country. It's easy to start getting into it when you're team is so good. My NBA team is the Nets, can you blame me? I find it to be more fun to watch, I like the 20 minute halves, and I like that the game seems more wide open. Plus, I'm able to form more of an attachment to the players and it makes me get more into the game. Pro basketball is obviously better quality, but I just can't get into it as much.
  18. I like college basketball a lot more than pro basketball, for various reasons, but Cowboy Numbers is coming off like a dumbass in this thread. If you're going to argue this matter, don't use Adam Morrison crying and tired arguments from the mid 90s to support your point
  19. The league is already without the Indiana Paces! Heh. No. I don't think the Pacers ever recovered from the Malice at the Palace.
  20. Memphis is stuck in a lease, though I know they want to get out of there. You can't compete against the Tigers
  21. No. Though I tell people I'm allergic to raisins.
  22. Czech hates drafts and Boston sports fans. And the 8-point blowout
  23. Yes, I watched the game. The shots were 9-5 after one. The Nucks scored three early goals (including an insane play by Burrows) and just sat back for the next 40 minutes. When the Avs scored early in the third, they played playing not to lose hockey. Edler got the dagger goal with 1:13 left, which was great, since now Ohlund is the all time leading defenseman scorer in Canucks history.
  24. Good to see UTEP and Houston getting postseason experience. St. John's accepted! Do teams have to pay their own way in the CBI and the other bootleg tournament?
